This is different from the Freestyle Rap Thread, this is designed as another system strictly for battles in order to keep the Freestyle Rap Thread from becoming all battles and to discuss the battles.

- Be respectful to other members
- Don't recycle someone else's lyrics without their permission
- Post the diss thread, but "call-out" the user by sending them a VM
- Postponing any diss is an option as long as both battlers consent
- Any questions, just VM or PM me and I'll answer them as best as I can
- Voting ends one week after it begins, in which a winner is decided

I know I've said this before, but for the sake of reinforcement, I'll say it again: take the word 'freestyle' out of the thread's title. Freestyling has a real meaning in hip hop culture, and it doesn't apply here. It can't. Writing your bars down is a complete contradiction of what freestyling is.

I agree with the improvising, that's what I think freestyling it, but look at it like this: I can't be the only one who improvises my lyrics. I don't write lyrics down and post them later, I don't revise anything, I just think up a few rhymes and post them, but isn't that what everybody does? It's an unorthodox method, yeah, but it works equally well, as we aren't communing face-to-face.

And damn, you guys "respectfully" arguing in a Rap Battle thread without any rhymes, doesn't that defeat the purpose?
