| Keyblade Wielder | You can. there's great poetry everywhere. Go read Emily Dickenson or Robert Frost or even Richard Wright, those are some famous names that oughta keep you busy for a lil' bit. lol Or somehow find poems used in previous AP English Literature tests, they have some awesome poems; I took my AP test yesterday and it had some cool poems, can't discuss them though, part of the guidelines of AP testing lol |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() Level: 14 EXP: | Alright, now you can get off my back XP. I'm not real fond of the second one, but I was trying something out, so I might as well show it. ***** Build the Tower The hammer comes down and cracks the wall The pillar breaks down and starts to fall The tower that's formed from thoughts and dreams Crashes to the ground by its fragile seams A light that shines once means nothing to me Darkness drags it to the depths of the sea The light that shines on consistently Is the one that deserves the loudest plea Though our days are numbered and lost to time And we all are subject to bloody crime As the weeping dove flies on through the air The weight of this world is too much to bear So we build up the tower with our ideals Fortified by the number of their appeals As the people look up from down below It will stand up to their harshest blow ***** Lone Wolf Running from the pack That abandoned him long ago A trail of fresh blood on the new fallen snow Surviving on scraps From the leftover animals As some from his pack become mere cannibals Making a new life One that would give him a true pride A life where he finally cared if he died Howling at the stars Dreaming of his most favorite world A dream where the path that he wanted unfurled Chasing the pale moon 'Til the day he cannot roam When it lovingly calls him back to his home ***** And there you have it, lol. |

| CARAMELLDANSEN!!!!!!! | O.O I love them both, lol. You really have a great gift. And you said you didn't really like the second one, but I really do. I love things about wolves and such. At the first stanza of the first one, I was in tears... |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() Level: 14 EXP: | And one more. ***** Forward March Now forward march along this path I tell you all to mind the gap Crusade for a forgotten cause Hold in your breath and do not pause And though they tell us all to stop We will not sit or beg or hop For all their filthy heaping lies With little air to heave our sighs And so we march to their domain The source of all the hate and pain And with torches all ablaze We will pierce through all of the haze For while you fortify your walls The commoners will heed our calls We'll burn your fabricated flag That's made from ash and soot and slag And we'll replace it with our own That's reminiscent of our home ***** Wow, I actually got another one done :P Last edited by Nevermore; May 11th, 2009 at 05:51 PM. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() Level: 14 EXP: | Alright, blah blah blah, I don't post enough, blah blah blah. Here's a random free verse attempt as I work on my two rhyming ones :P ***** The Librarian There were so many books So many shelves So many rows And so many cases That they towered beyond sight And stretched in each direction On those leather-bound spines Names could be read The names of the authors But no two were alike And try as you might to look There was never anything But a name as the title From between the isles With a pen in his hand A smirk on his face And beauty that would make Anyone faint Came a man who carried a book Under his arm On the table it was set Pages flipped to the spot Where the words were writing freely Of their own accord Capturing history As it unfolded Then the man With his hand Long fingers so deadly Cut off the words With scribbles of ink And controlled the tale Filling it with hatred Loss And sorrow But he got too greedy Stepped over the line With lust in his eyes He wrote down a word A single word The single word Death And the sad book glowed As did the words The word that he wrote Was erased and replaced With those that follow "You have gone too far!" So the miserable man With the pen in his hand Was thrust out the door As the gates were shut For all eternity Because all the other words When placed next to Death Meant nothing at all ***** Yeah, I don't know when the other two will be done, lol.
