Default Spring Awakening

has anyone else ever seen this musical? i've seen it twice in just over a month and i love it. if you don't know what i'm talking about...

Spring Awakening Official Website - Spring Awakening on Tour

its a new rock musical that won 8 tonys and a grammy in 2008. the lyrics, the music, the choreography, and the lighting combine to make one great show. if you can go, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Wow, I'm surprised I hadn't stumbled upon this thread earlier since Spring Awakening is my favorite musical. :3
I actually wrote a paper on the history of both the original German play by Frank Wedekind and the musical adaption earlier this year. It's really a great piece of theater, and one of the few that takes the time to address real world issues through the lens of historical context. Plus, the music in it is bomb. I think my favorite songs from the Original Soundtrack are tied between "Bitch of Living", "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind", "The Guilty Ones" and "Word of Your Body (Reprise)".
And I do believe that Jonathon B. Wright from the original Broadway cast is the sexiest man to have ever walked on stage. <3

its amazing how S.A. handles so many real isssues.

sex (in its various forms), suicide, bad parenting, bundled up emotions, pregnacy.... its just does such a good job at adressing all those things.

my favorite songs would have to be:
1. Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind (i absolutey LOVE blake bashoff and steffi d. version. they both are perfect for Moritz and Ilsa.)
2. My Junk (mainly the lyrics, but the part where the guy interacts with his junk is hilarious as well)
3. Totally F***ed (its just f***ing amazing lol, and the lyrics are so true if you take the time to look at them)
4. The Dark I Know Well (one of the most powerful songs in the play imo)

did anyone cry? cuz i mean, i never cry about anything. i saw it the first time and i got teary eyed during "The Dark I Know Well." but then i saw it again and because

Spoilersplot details…
i knew Moritz was going to die

i just lost control during "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind" and the scene its in.

Blake Bashoff is the best by the way :D.
