I go to Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ and our school is known basically state-wide for our broadway-calibur musicals we put on every year. We have a huge, really nice theater which holds I think over 2,000 people and we have sold out in the past. We do three a year, one in December, one in May, and one in late July/early August (although usually this show sucks). I'm a sophmore and for this year's fall show I have a really good part. Last year (my freshman year), we did a musical version of Narnia. It sounded really stupid at first but once rehearsals started, it turned out to be an amazing show. I was cast as a random zebra with no lines but still that's real good for a freshman. In the spring, we did West Side Story which was absolutely amazing! I didn't make it because I was a freshman (I'm not trying to make excuses but the director pulled me aside and told me that was why). But anyways, it was the best show I ever saw. In the summer, we did You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which sucked. I got cast as a random little kid which sucked.
This year, our fall show is Big: The Musical (yes, based off of the movie Big starring Tom Hanks). I got the part of Young Josh Baskin, which is amazing part for a sophmore because I get to sing like 4 songs. In the spring, it is rumored that we are going to do either Beauty and the Beast, Annie, or Guys and Dolls.
So basically our musicals are awesome and if you live in the area, i would suggest coming to see one. We have had famous celebrities prefrom in our theater such as Bill Cosby and many more. There is actually a student in the shows that is a professional actor/singer. Her name's Gabrielle Howarth. Look her up. We have another girl who does the shows who is a fantasy author. Pretty cool stuff. And most scenes from our musicals end up on youtube so look us up and tell me what you think!

Definitely my favorite scene I was in. Amazing singing we sound like a church choir. I'm on the right side in the black and white. I grew a lot since then lol.

my school's play this year is Rent : School Edition

I'm totally looking forward to it, and I reaaally want to be casted as Maureen. my audtition was last week, but I think we're going to have callbacks (according to my teachers who direct it) so idk when I'll find out what my role is.

I'm doing both Fall Drama (Our Town) and Spring Musical (Bye Bye Birdie)

I personally don't like Our Town very much.

Aw I spent all that time typing that big-ass post up top. Oh well if no ones interested there's nothing I can do about it. You guys are all probably gonna hate me for this post arent u. Oh well sorry im not trying to sound like im better then everyone or anything I just thought that the people reading this thread would be interested in that stuff. Recently, we finished Our Town. Such a boring play.

At least for the spring musical, we are doing Bye Bye Birdie. It seems good; I watched the movie. I would love to be Hugo. Dude's a boss.

Birdie's pretty boring and waaaay overdone. But it's still an average show and probably better then "Our Town". I've never even heard of it before. And yes Hugo is pretty boss haha. Or Conrad Birdie? I would love to be him. My school did it 2 years ago before I was there and my friend got Albert and it was a lead and he loved it, it was a great part.

Our Town is boring as shit. It basically describes a typical day in a New Hampshire town in 1901, a wedding, and death with some philosophical meaning on how we never notice life as it goes by.

I really want to be Hugo though. Conrad Birdie will likely go to this one senior who has no life other than acting.
