Cloverfield theory!!!!!

Just so you guys know I DIDN'T think of this on my own I got help from the people on youtube. Okay so people say that they see faces all around the trailer to see hints of the monster. NO WAY. Abrams is a smart guy, he wouldn't put the monsters face in the railer. Next, if you look at the poster for the movie you see the destruction that the thing has caused. but look closesly at the first building on the land. Notice the claw marks? Theres 3! So one thing we know is that this thing has 3 claws. Now the explosion. My friends are telling me such stupid stuff like these 2. "Dude it's alein probes". NO, aleins wouldn't send propes through a explsion that everyone could see! "Then there parisites that will feed of us. Okay in the trailer we see the things that flew out go past the building! If these were parisites then wouldn't they latch on to the people when they flew past them?! Answer to the things flying out of the explosion. Peices of the ground! The creature is not strong enough to chuck the SOL head all the way to Robs building. For 2 reasons. 1 it would have to curve to hit the spot where it fell. 2 It's NYC wouldn't the head hit say a big buildin like NYC is famous for! My answer. The creaure ripped the head off, put it in it's mouth, then swam inland and chucked it. When looking at the poster you see that the creature only attacked one part of the city. WHY?! Maybe something is in that part of the city that it wants. Who knows? Bare with me I'm almost done. 1-18-08.com is the site for the movie. know it only has pic there of certain times and it looks like from 2 of them that the creature has already begun it's path of destrucion. But one pic has me thinking. It's of this Jappinise cook holdin something in a pan. He looks scared and suprised at something. And he appears that he is yelling at someone or thing. Now the weird thing is that there is no timestamp on the pic like there is with the others. This leads me to beileve that this is in the eyes if the creature.
So time to recap. What do we know about the creature...
1 Has 3 claws
2 Has great strength
3 Can swim
4 Unkwown appearance
So what is the creature..... Your guess is as good mine. Feel free to post your own theory on the movie.:)

In my humble opinion, it's either Cthulhu, or a three way of Ziz, the Behomoth, and the Leviathan. Cthulhu fits best, however, with the whole concept of it being a 'parasite' and all that.

And, uh, there are already like five Cloverfield topics, please, please don't make more.

I watched a video on you tube where in the background you can see an arm with claws, and no it was not smoke because I zoomed in and you can tell its not smoke because there was smoke next to the arm and they were different colors.

I don't know what this could be but it looks like its going to be interesting. I hope it's not like The Host though, It looked really good but the movie was horrible.

How can you say that, all the things he gave where facts. No one knows what the monster is yet, so any theory right now is ligament.

from day 1 when i saw the trailer loooong ago, i figured it was some sort of monster movie, it is, i just hope its not Godzilla.... i'd be very unhappy.... the trailer makes the movie look good... but really how good can monster movies be without the chance of being cheesy? They never give info on it, but we'll see what happens.... i think its interesting that the movie is going to come out on the very date that the title is, and it takes place on the day it is released... thats pretty ingenious but as the rest of us, speculation isnt going to help, but i still think it should be interesting to wait... and see, its another "The Village" situation, nothing is said about the movie before it comes out, probably cause of some huge plot twist that will stop the movie goes from really going to see the movie if they knew what it was about. If most ppl knew what the village was about, they probably wouldnt have gone cause they were intent on seeing a scary monster movie.... and the twist was, that it had nothing to do with that, i thought the movie was good, but im one of the very few, i wonder if there is some sort of twist like that, im sure its not that close, but im sure there is some twist, but obviously there is something, duh, freakin' statue of liberty and half of NY was destroyed lol, but hmm we'll wait and see.

It's an all new monster, and there's a bunch of little monsters that come along with it.

With 2 months till it's release i'm still surprised they haven't even realeased the name or a trailer.

That's one of those stories that shouldn't be made into a movie.
