jurassic park IV

yes the 3rd sequel to the popular 1993jurassic park is slated to hit the theaters in summer 2008. speilberg is going to have more of a contribution to the film in this one after JPIII's failure to beat its predecessor's at the box office. the film is rumored to have Lex from the first movie possibly as the main character. the dude who played her granpa in the first two movies is rumored to reprise his role as her gramps. its also rumored that kiera knightly will be in it( if she is i hope she gets eaten ) we can only hope that some of the other main characters from the original are in it.

thanx roya|e. not that hard when you spend almost the entire summer in a seat at the computer lol. ill post any info i find when i search it again later. right now i have learned that speilberg's email, containing an early draft of the next film was hacked and an internet leak had said that in the script that the dinos have gotten off the island and possibly onto the main land(but it was an early draft so its possible that they return to isla nublar(the park island in the first movie) or isla sorna/site B (the island they go to in 2 and 3 where they originaly cloned the dinosaurs and roamed free then moved them to the isla nublar) but this was an early draft of the movie so its more likly not the go with script. also if this is what the plot is then the writers are trying to be more true to the two books( Jurassic park and the lost world:jurassic park ) as i believe the original ending to the first book was where the dinos got off the island and onto the mainland.(also note thet the original script for JPIII was that the dinos had gotten off the island and hammond(the old guy who recreated the dinos in the furst and second movie) was figuring out a way to kill them off ounce they took over the main land.) also it is not clear is the spinosaurus will reprise its role as the main dino antagonist or if the tyranosaurus will reclaim its rightful throne as the king of dinos in the movies. also there is controversy if the velociraptors will look like they did in the previous movies. the model of raptors they used was that of a US originated raptor. the raptors were actualy like a hybrid of birds and diniosaurs. JPIII tried to redo that as putting quill like feathers on their heads although the raptors were covered in feathers. also the sive of raptors was RADICLY off from those of original raptors. in the movies they stood at extremly tall hights when raptors varied from 3 to 4 feet high. also the way they hunted in the movies was extremly advanced evan though raptors were pretty smart. the most realistic of the raptor attacks was in the second film when they are picking off the mercenaries in the field.

lol. thats alot of stuff i wrote. but those are rumored things to switch or change or edit the appearence of the dinos.

Malcolm and his obsessive following of the chaos theory made the first movie and the book itself great, so I'm hoping he and his anarchetic musings are coming back :D

I recently became re-aquainted with the first movie. I really hope this new one still uses animatronics and not all CG, it somehow loses the effect when films do that. I hope Malcom is in it too, I only just got some of his jokes in JP because I was about 9 when i last watched it.

the previous movies have used animatronics. when the spinosarus first appeared on the third movie when they showed it up close after it ate tha black dude it was animatronic. the first movie used a ton of animatronics for the velociraptors and in the third movie some times the raptors were actualy costumes that they had people in. like when the raptor sticks its claw in udesky in part 3 it was a guy in a costume of the raptor.

i will not lie....i am watching Jurassic Park right now lol

Any close up scenes you come across in the current trilogy are animatronic, yes. Anything less specific will end up being CGI, unfortunatly.

Robot dinosaurs really did push the movie down the right road (aesthetically speaking), losing them in the next one would really screw the franchise up the ass, you know?

the animatronics yes were used for most of the close ups on the dinosaurs but CGI is essential for the movies to work.
