| The combine's reckoning has come. | The Author of the famous "The Da Vinci Code" and the not so known Angels ad Demons. With many others as well. I haven't finished The Da Vinci COde yet but I did finish Angels and Demons. It is one of my favorite books. Has anyone else read one of Dann Brown's works? |

| Oi... | I just finished The Da Vinci Code the other day. It wasn't so much the storyline as the points that were brought up that I found interesting. However, I did find the story a good read and highly recommendable. I'm planning on reading Angels and Demons in the very near future, but I have lots of other books to read right now too so it kind of got pushed to the side. |

| :|Your Personal|: {Jesus} | Heh, same for me kyou XD The Da Vinci Code was a badass book, and most of the facts presented were true, though the tale is not. It kinda puts things into perspective really. @_@ |

Rep Power: 16 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've read Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code. In my opinion, those books are total trash, catering for the needs of imbeciles who think reading these books makes them intelligent. Basically, if the theme had not been controversial, the books would have not received as much praise as they have currently done. Overrated as. |

I was also not aware that the author's name was Dann, I thought it was just plain Dan.

| :|Your Personal|: {Jesus} | It IS Dan, but no one could be assed to correct him. =P And, obviously, the STYLE of work is an acquired taste. :p I was more attracted to the subject matter, a topic that interests me. |

| Knight of Zero | Exactly. Which is the reason why I was against making the book into a movie. It's a book with lots of information, and that makes movies boring. |

![]() Dann Brown isn't exactly as good a writer as he's praised to be, but I like his works nonetheless. I still need to find that copy of Angels and Demons I have...

| Knight of Zero | Brown just introduced hot subjects, and that's big in public. People eat up that sort of crap. I also like his writing, but he's nothing spectacular. |

| Daydreamer | I've read all of his books and personally Angels and Demons is his best work closely followed by The Da Vinci Code. The other books are quite boring and are pretty much the same all of them have something to with some forbidden secret or another with some weird codes that need to be broken. |

I don't think the STYLE of work is an acquired taste at all; it's sold over 20 million copies worldwide. The topic may have interested you, but it interested 20 million others. Without the controversial topic, there would be little to distinguish it from books of a similar nature. Plus, it's written in a very simplistic manner that even those with a low reading age can understand, I don't even like his writing. The film just emphasized that, this was ulimately an embellished detective novel.
