In my opinion, yes. seriously people, who cares if celebrities break up and cheat on each other, although it is wrong. Another thing, a ton of the stuff is fake, anyway.

Those who are able to make money out of a situation that's who. Regardless even if it is fake, then people will still buy this crap, why because they have liittle education and can't quite grasp what other papers say. If its in big simple phonetics, then it will attract the simple people out there to part with there cash.

Its clever business for dumb people that's all....

Let's define "tabloid" shall we?

A newspaper of small format giving the news in condensed form, usually with illustrated, often sensational material.

What do we define it? A log of celebrity mishaps, troubles, events and, of course, their lives written down onto paper to entertain you.

You ever hear the term paparrazzi, yes? Those persistent bastards who may or may not do what they could to uncover scandals and truths that they should not know? "OMG! BRITNEY SPEARS IS PREGNANT?! I'M HER DOCTOR AND EVEN I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!"

The paparrazzi, not all with the same deminor, can lie and you can be either smart or gullible. This is what I think when I see "Entertainment Weekly" lying on the shelves: 'How do I know the paparrazzi didn't just spark something out of this?'

I think you kind of have to distinguish between tabloid types. I mean, there's the kind that basically just do sensational new, most of which is true or just slightly exaggerated, and then there's stuff like "news weekly" which has cover stories like "satans face seen in bomb explosion over baghdad" or "viking found in iceberg".

It depends on what type of tabloids they are. Some are utterly exaggerations of truths (like Jon Benet's own mother killed her, from a tabloid back in the day). Some, though, CAN tell the truth. (I read a magazine once that was mostly tabloids, and i read the actress Nicole DeHuff, of Meet the Parents, died. I thought they were making that up, until I found out she DID die.) So in the end, my tally is: 95% wrong, 5% right. The 5% is only VERY RARELY that they're right.
