Default NBA 2009-2010 Season

I had to. I just fucking had to.

Well, the season kicks off next week. This is the time of the sports year I look forward to most after a summer without NBA. And I must say, this is going to be a very rewarding season.

Any predictions so far from anyone?

Also, the Wizards are gonna do work this year.

(Eddy, you KNOW this thread is nothing without me.)

I've got the Lakers repeating, going 4-3 against the Celtics.

Also, I know my Bulls will have a GREAT season have that amazing first round against the Celtics last season, even though Ben Gordon is gone and his shoes will be hard for John Salmons to fill at the two guard. But, I'm confident that the Bulls will at least have the 6th seed. And, hopefully, they'll ship off Tyrus Thomas (and their no-names) for a better power forward.

And I just don't see the Cavs winning the Finals. Shaq isn't going to do shit for that team, and they've got too many inconsistent players. LeBron is really the only player who can average 20+ PPG without going into a slump for an entire month.

And for some strange reason, I think the Clippers will have a very good season. As long as Baron Davis, Blake Griffin, and Marcus Camby stay healthy and consistent, the Clips will make the playoffs with a high seed.

Also, I've got my money on Dwyane Wade leaving the Heat (and maybe coming to Chicago?) if the Heat don't make it to the playoffs this year or lose in the first round. He already refused a contract extension.

Well I feel like shit.

If it takes him until 2010 to get healthy, the Clips won't be anything special this year.

Eddie, why is no one replying to this thread!?!

Because I haven't been on as much the past week or so.

But anyway, Celtics and Nuggets remain undefeated. Am I the only one shocked at how Carmelo has been dominating almost every team (last night is an exception since he had a shitty first half)

Yeah, refs fucked them over.

But that columnist at the Sun-Times ate his own words...literally. With salsa on top.

That's what he gets for calling JoNo a bust.

Now, if he would have called Tyrus Thomas a bust, then I would agree. JoNo, on the other hand, just needs more time to develop into a well-rounded player.

So LeBron wants a league-wide retirement of 23. Meh, his intentions are good, but I don't think a league-wide retirement is necessary.

Also, according to "someone in the know", LeBron is looking at the Bulls as one of the teams to discuss free agent signing with during the summer.

Allen Iverson, Memphis Grizzlies agree to terminate contract - ESPN

Saddening, but I saw it coming. Hopefully Iverson finds somewhere else to play.

The Knicks are looking into signing Iverson too. I'd rather he go to a different team than the Knicks.

Honestly, Iverson should have ended his career after being benched by the fcking Pistons.

Also, I really believe that D-Wade will come to the Bulls at the end of the season, especially if the Heat don't make the playoffs or get out of the first round.
