| Organization Member | No kidding, the Saints are amazing this year. I wouldn't say for them to be reserving tickets for Miami yet, because this is still the middle of the season. Anything can happen. The fact remains though that the Saints are a force to be reckoned with this year. |

| Enigmatic Soldier | Well, it's Monday and it's The Eagles at The Redskins. Philadelphia at Washington - Both team are coming off losses to two of the worst teams in the league right now. The Eagles lost to Raiders and The Redskins lost to The Chiefs. The Redskins need to get their act together. Jason Campbell has to play well. If he doesn't play well, The Redskins won't win this game. Clinton Portis has also started off slow this season. They need to get him going too. The Eagles have a great offense that was just put on lock in Oakland. McNabb has to remind himself of who he is. This is a big Nfc eAst game cause with The Giants losing again, teams can creep more and more to the top spot. That being said, I don't think The Redskins have it in them to win. They have inconsistent Quarterback, suspect Running Back and defense, and some good receivers, while The Eagles have firepower and defense. You would expect The Redskins to pull it out in their hometown, but I'm not buying it. Eagles 30, Redskins 20. |

| Other PSN: SilverJ-17 | You were only off by three points (for both sides). However, the points difference was right on. Anyways.. ugh.. I guess that first week I did this was a fluke, 7-6. However, I'm not going to quit just because I've been sucking ever since the second week I picked teams. Baltimore > Denver (Upset bid) Indianapolis > San Fransisco Philadelphia > NY Giants St. Louis > Detroit Dallas > Seattle Chicago > Cleveland Houston > Buffalo NY Jets > Miami Jacksonville > Tennessee San Diego > Oakland Green Bay > Minnesota Arizona > Carolina New Orleans > Atlanta |

| Spanking the monkey oh yeah | I went 9-4 for the week which is pretty nice I guess. Also Insane your picks might get better if you wait a afew days to post. I don't know about Destiny, but I wait till Friday to post mainly because by then you usually know who is going to play Sunday because injury reports for the week are put out. Anyway I won't double post so here are my picks: Denver 6-0 at Baltimore 3-3 This should be one of the best games this weekend. Both have hard stopping defenses and good offensives so it almost looks like mirrored teams. Now Baltimore didn't have a great showing a few weeks ago against the Vikings and you wonder if they played a whole 60 minutes would they have won? You got a good QB in Falco and an explosive running back with Rice and a good receiver with Mason. Now Denver has some good running backs that are very good at getting together those short passes and they do have Bradon Marshall who is nothing short of beastlike. This should be a really close game and could be another nail biter. I will say Denver wins 16-13. NY Giants 5-2 at Philadelphia 4-2 Well this is the battle of teams that have not been looking like themselves the last few weeks. The Eagles should have just been able to blow Washington out in that Monday Night game, but they didn't. Giants on the other hand have been destroyed and then losing another to a team that has had a tough time coming east and pulling out a win. Now with Westbrook out for Sunday the Eagles are going to rely on McCoy to carry their run, and he could do this but we haven't seen enough to positively say it is true. Eagles will need to try and avoid those 3rd and longs though and need to take advantage against this secondary. Now Giants defense really needs to step up. They need to hit McNabb a few times, but they need to make sure Jackson isn't catching the ball while in space cause he will kill you if he does. Manning has run his offense pretty well so I can see this being a close game till the end. In the end I think I will go with the Giants winning 28-27. Minnesota 6-1 at Green Bay 4-2 So Farve returns to the city that made him great, but will the same results happen? Again we say this every week, but really I think the Vikings need a big game out of Peterson. Farve is good but not sure if the jitters will get to him, and if Peterson can take some load off then more power to him. Now Green Bay will need to do a few things to come out with a win this time around. First they need to hit Farve when he does drop back, and force him to make a pass cause Farve is one that will try to force something that isn't there. Second their offense needs to make those plays they didn't last game. If I remember Driver and others had a few drop passes which could have helped turn the game for them. Now when all is said and done I think another close game, but I don't see Farve returning to Green Bay to have his revenge. Green Bay wins 34-24. San Francisco 3-3 at Indianapolis 6-0 Well San Fran started out with some good defense but since the Vikings it has been nothing but shaky. Why did I pick this game in my big 5? Why i needed a fifth game and Alex Smith is back as a starter. I can see Smith havign a decent game, but nothing compared to the guy on the other side. In short Manning will tear apart that defense and the game will be over by mid 3rd Quarter. Colts win 48-20. Atlanta 4-2 at New Orleans 6-0 This should be a very good game, but at this point how do I pick against the Saints? So of course it is obvious who I am going to pick so how can the Falcons win? Well in short eat of the clock as much as you can. If you can keep the ball out of Bree's hands then your chances have gone up slightly, but at the same time Ryan better watch out for Sharper cause he is just killing teams on defense. Atlanta needs Turner to have not just a big game, but a huge game and Ryan as well. Otherwise I can see Brees spreading the ball around and throwing those deep shorts and taking another win. Also it is in New Orleans so bigger advantage. Saints will 41-24. Houston over Buffalo Chicago over Cleveland Dallas over Seattle: should be a good game Detroit over St. Louis: yes I said it Miami over Jets: yup another win San Diego over Oakland Jacksonville over Tennessee Arizona over Carolina Last edited by blinkboy211; October 30th, 2009 at 07:16 PM. |

| Enigmatic Soldier | I know I went 8-5 this week lol. I forgot my overall though. I'm gonna have to get back to you on that one. Let's get these Week 8 picks started. Miami at New York - The last time these two met, The Wildcat really exposed Rex Ryan's defense and although the game was close, the wildcat dominated The Jets. Rex Ryan should know how to stop this by now, The Ravens played these same Dolphins twice including the playoffs. I just hope it's not cold, cause last week's game was one of two things: He can't play in cold weather, or he just had a bad day. Whatever the reason, he better step his game up. Mark Sanchez has to show why he got drafted. His ability to throw with precision in the pocket even though there's pressure, find guys downfield, and not turn the ball over. Since Leon Washington is out for the season, Shonn Greene's gotta step up and after last week, we know he can. The Dolphins have to play their game. Chad Henne has to be as good as he was last time they played The Jets. More importantly, use that Wildcat. That is a big time X-Factor. Since New York is at home, I don't see them being embarrassed a second time. Dolphins 27, Jets 31. Denver at Baltimore - I really don't know where to go with this one. The Ravens just came off a bye losers of 3 straight. It's not like them. Now, they're facing another unbeaten team that is playing extremely well. I really thought The Chargers would end Denver's streak. They aren't fluky. They've beaten some serious teams. The Ravens have the power to upset The Broncos, but I just don't see it happening. I mean, The Raven's had two weeks to prepare, but the again, so has Denver. I see this being a defensive battle. Denver's defense has really stepped up big time and we know how good Baltimore's defense is. It'll come down to Orton v. Flacco. Orton has so much firepower (marshall, stokley, scheffler, royal, etc.) and Flacco has Clayton, Mason, & Todd Heap. I believe Flacco has it in him to make big plays when they count, but Orton has been just so good. After it's all said and done, on a coin flip, Ravens outplay Broncos. If The Ravens don't beat them, just like The Vikings, The Steelers will get Denver too. Broncos, 17, Ravens 21. New York at Philadelphia - This another game that could go anyway. It's a division battle, so you know these teams are gonna play each other hard. The Eagles came off beating The Redskins and The Giants come off a second straight loss. Eli Manning hasn't been the same since New Orleans and the defense has looked like a shell of its former self. Man, The Saints really have an impact on teams they beat. I mean, The Jets lost 3 straight after New Orleans beat them. The Giants are just a loss away from losing their division lead. The Eagles are 4-2 and the Giants are 5-2. After that embarrasing loss to Oakland, The Eagles got back on track. McNabb has so many weapons on offense and they do have a solid defense. Man, I love watching these two teams play. If Eli doesn't try to force anything and his receivers are on their game, they can win, but The Eagles are hot and will capitalize on the slightest mistake. The Giants are just too good to lose 3 straight. This one should be good. Giants 27, Eagles 20. Minnesota at Green Bay - This game has gotten so much hype. I for one am excited to just see how the fan's react to Favre. I think the fans will cheer when they see him, but when the game gets goin, they'll be all over him. Man, it'd be a suprise if he got booed out of Lambeau or imagine if fans cheered for Favre and booed Rodgers LMAO!! But back to the game. Last time, The Vikings dominated the line of scrimmage. Rodgers got sacked 8 times, four of which came for Jared Allen. The Packers Offensive Line has to protect Rodgers. If The Vikings Defensive Line dominates like last time, Green Bay won't win. With no protection, Rodgers will have no time to step into his throws. Meanwhile, Favre torched Green Bay last time. Over 220 yards passing, 3 TDs, and no picks. Favre know this defense better than the defense does. He knows their next move before they even do it. The Packers Defense also has to step up. Not only for Favre, but for Adrian Peterson, although he was contained in their last meeting, he'll have a good game. Vikings just lost their first game and all that frsutration will be taken out on Green Bay. I don't care if they are at home. Vikings 37, Packers 27. Other picks: Cowboys over Seahawks Colts over 49ers Texans over Bills Lions over Rams - (yea, The Rams are that bad) Bears over Browns Oakland over San Diego - (hey, they almost beat 'em last time) Cardinals over Panthers Titans over Jaguars - (yep, Titans get their first win) |

As far as The Giants go, I didn't see that one coming at all. The Giants are better than that. I'm tellin you, that Saints loss traumatized them. They better get their act together because San Diego is coming next week and that will NOT be a cakewalk.

| Spanking the monkey oh yeah | I sucked this week at picking. I need New Orleans to win tonight if I want an above .500 record for the week. Anyway it looks like the Giants are in a downward spiral and I should have known this was going to happen cause I saw their schedule a few weeks ago and it was pretty tough. (Now who was that Giant fan that said they were going undefeated? lol) Everything else I was just blah. Can't believe Carolina won, the Rams, or the Titans. Also the Colts game seemed really close, but it wasn't televised here on tv so yeah. Manning throws for overall 300 and they only get 18, weird. |

Time for the Monday Night Game!!! Atlanta at New Orleans - First, let me say, The Saints scare me. They are a complete team. They have an explosive offense, a much improved defense, and they proved they can beat the best and come from behind. BUT, I have faith in Matt Ryan. The Falcons are probably the one team (maybe other than New England) that can give The Saints a fight and match them point for point. The only thing that scares me is that New Orleans plays VERY well at home. That could be an X-Factor for this game. The Falcons have a good offense too and a dynamic running game, and their defense isn't too shabby either. Nobody's been able to beat The Saints cause they don't get pressure on him. This will be a very close game, but I think The Falcons can pull off the upset. They have to play their game and really switch up defensive schemes and confuse Brees and play their style of football cause one bad mistake, and New Orleans WILL make you pay for it cause they CAN and WILL move the ball. If they don't lose now, they'll lose in Atlanta. Falcons 41, Saints 37.

| Other PSN: SilverJ-17 | Strangely, I went 9-4 this week. It was a good weak for me. I picked the Rams to, since I felt that Detroit would be the team they have the best chance of beating. Now, the only winless team left is Tampa Bay and how long have they gone without a win? I'm pretty sure it was no 14 games or whatever the Rams' streak was. Also, fun fact that I noticed recently. Every New York team has faced New Orleans. Every New York team was either undefeated (as in the case of the New York Jets/ Giants) or at least won a game just before taking on New Orleans. (like Buffalo) Every one of them lost and then lost two more games after wards. Now, I'm not sure about the Giants, but the other two won after their third loss in a row. (Buffalo, over the Jets and then the next week, the Jets over Oakland.) I'm sorry.. I just noticed this when looking at the schedules. Coincidence or not? You be the judge. |

| Spanking the monkey oh yeah | Alright time to do some picks: Baltimore 4-3 at Cincinnati 5-2 Baltimore looked good last week and you got to wonder did they finally get back on track. If they did that defense will need to step it up against Palmer and crew cause this year seems like they are back in form. Palmer looks so good in the pocket and Ochocinco has been doing whta he did a few years ago. Then they have Benson who is just tearing it up with nice running games. Ravens on the other side should have a good offense. I mean good pair of RBs and a good QB, but problem I see are WR that could be considered subpar. This is going to come down to if Baltimore's defense can set the tone for them. Big divisional game and hard to pick, but I am going to go with Cinnci winning 24-17. Houston 5-3 at Indianapolis 7-0 Houston is finally making the turn for the better and looks to be showing up as a good NFL team this year. Of course they are playing the Colts, but in the past they shown that they been able to stand with the Colts usually (i think) they were losing by 3 when other teams are being blown out. We all know Peyton is amazing, Wayne is amazing, and that Colts offense is just amazing, but of course questions always are raised with that defense. They have a good pass rush, but teams have shown how you can run all over them. Houston needs to do a few things for a win. 1. Have a good running game which will open up passes. 2. Catch those passes, Houston is hurt since their TE is out for the season. 3. Hit Peyton as often as you can. Though I don't see that happening, but I do see this to be a good game and will side with the Colts winning again. Colts 34-28. Miami 3-4 at New England 5-2 It has gotten to a point that Miami needs to win these divisional games. Yes all 3 wins this season did come against divisional teams, but they haven't been greatly consistent week to week so they need all the advantage they can get. Now they are going against NE who explosive offense will make you look foolish on defense. Also Patriots are coming off a Bye week so all players are pretty much refreshed and ready to go. Bad timing to face this Patriots team for the Dolphins. Of course though Patriots are weak on the run so if you get that Wild Cat going this game could be a lot closer than some would expect. I still say Patriots win 27-21. Dallas 5-2 at Philadelphia 5-2 Another divisional game and these are the games you need to take. Now Roy Williams is whining and hopefully that isn't a distraction that makes Romo want to throw to him a little more. Right now your hot hand is Austin(on my fantasy team so throw to him all day) but Romo needs to make sure he doesn't try to force anything. Now Eagles do have Westbrook this week I think which should be helpful to McNabb. Now Eagles have had problems so far with 3rd and long this season so Dallas wants to get the Eagles in those positions as often as they can, and make sure to watch Jackson cause this guy has huge play material written on him for every down. Overall hard to really decide since Philly hasn't looked like Philly lately. I will go with Philly though in a close game 34-31. Pittsburgh 5- at Denver 6-1 Denver now has a blimpish on their record and what is going to be interesting is how will they handle it when they have to go up against a very good team. Orton will need to put something together on offense in order to press out a win or that defense needs to get a few TDs on Pittsburgh. Now Pitt is looking good once again and if they get their running game going I really don't see how they cannot win. Big Ben has been looking good, and he knows how to act when under pressure. Now the key thing to watch is the defenses. Which defense will cause the most turnovers. I can see 12 points coming off defenses in this game so both QBs need to be careful and not force something that isn't there. Overall I think Pittsburgh sort of needs to win this game since Cinnci and Ravens play each other, and even though I love this Denver team I have to pick against them this time around. Steelers win 27-24. Bonus game: Arizona (4-3) at Chicago (4-3) When I saw this game I had to add it as my number 6 for the week. This should be a really good game since Arizona is 3-0 on the road and Chicago is 3-0 at home. Both teams need to start winning cause neither is meeting the expectations people were wanting. Arizona just doesn't seem to be the same offense, which is understandable with the offensive coordinator gone, but I don't know how many times I need to say this week in and week out THROW THE BALL TO FITZGERALD! This guy is a beast with the ball in his hands, but he has only had 1 100 yard receiving game and that game which was his best this year they blew out Seattle pretty much. Get the damn ball to this guy even if you just have to make him jump for it. Now Chicago hasn't shown us much. Out of the 7 games they played teams that now have .500 records or better 4 times and only came out with 1 win. Of course they beat those bad teams but in the end it hasn't shown that you are the shut down team people thought. Cutler isn't the problem there either, but Forte hasn't really looked good at all this season. They need to get this guy going. I hope this will be a good game and I think in the end we will see Arizona winning this hopefully with some good plays 34-17. Atlanta over Washington Jacksonville over Kansas City Green Bay over Tampa Bay New Orleans over Carolina Seattle over Detroit NY Giants over San Diego San Francisco over Tennessee |

| Enigmatic Soldier | Baltimore at Cincinatti - These two teams had a great game last time around. The Bengals beat The Ravens in their house, now Cincinatti has homefield advantage. Baltimore came off a thrashing of the formerly unbeaten Broncos. The Ravens are going to play rough with the Bengals. Like their last meeting, The Bengals can hit hard with The Ravens too. Right now, The Bengals are the top dog in their division and if they want to stay there, they have to beat a tough divisional opponent twice and in this division, it's not easy. The Ravens aren't going to be fooled this time around. They can and will bring the heat on Palmer. If Palmer has time in the pocket, he can find any man downfield. The Bengals have to rush Flacco. Flacco has matured into a top tier QB and they also have to contain Ray Rice. He is the X-Factor in this game without question. The Bengals have the offense and homefield, but Baltimore has such a hard-hitting defense and can force turnovers very easily. Like I said, it's hard to sweep a team like The Ravens. Ravens 20, Bengals 13. Miami at New England - New England is at home and plays very well at home. Last time Miami went up to Foxboro, they thrashed New England with The Wildcat. Now, Coach Belichcik knows The Wildcat and they have Brady back. They may not be The Patriots of old, but they are still dangerous. Miami has been on a streak, but the buck stops here. The only downfall The Pats have is that inexperienced defense. A defense that could be exposed on Sunday. Let's not forget the numbers Brady put up against The Dolphins defense last time. But, this is a changed defense that can defend against the run and the pass. But in the end, I got Tom Brady and Co. Dolphins 31, Patriots 20. Houston at Indianapolis - This is a tough tests for The Colts. It's a divisional opponent so you know they're gonna play Indy hard. A healthy Texans team is dangerous and they can give Indy some problems. Also, don't be fooled, The Texans have a very good defense. They've given Peyton some problems in the past, but The Colts are playin at such a high level and The Texans have been playin some awfully good Football. Peyton Manning is so good at reading defenses and spotting different coverage schemes it's amazing. It's going to be a tough, hard fought game, but I think The Colts stay unbeaten. Texans 24, Colts 33. San Diego at New York - I've been lookin forward to this one. These are two great, yet struggling teams that need this win. Since The Saints loss, The Giants have never been the same and The Chargers are just hoping to stay in their own divisional race. The Giants are back at home and are facing a high octane offense in San Diego. Their defense isn't all there, but they still have a solid defense. The Giants have to find their rythm on offense again. San Diego can put up points, but The Giants have to contain Rivers cause when he gets going, he's really good. Eli has to be on point with his receivers. If The Giants can't score and can't stop San Diego, they can't win this game, but I think The Giants snap out of this funk. Chargers 27, Giants 30. Dallas at Philadelphia - A good rivalry and first place of The NFC East is on the line. Let's not forget the last meeting between Dallas & Philly ended in a 44-6 thrashing. This Dallas team is a much better team than last season. They've quietly turned into a great team and The Eagles pounding of The Giants reminded people of how good The Eagles are. The key to a Dallas win is if they get to McNabb, but they have to really get to him cause McNabb has great agility and can evade sacks very well. The Dallas secondary has to be on their game because Philly has a host of receivers: Jackson, Celek, Maclin, Avant, and not to mention Westbrook will be back, so Dallas has to contain them. As for Philly, they have to rush the passer and Romo doesn't do very good under pressure. He's got find his receivers and let the Triple Threat do their work on the ground. It should be a close game. The NFC East is on the line and Philly plays well at home, so I got Philly in a battle. Cowboys 23, Eagles 28. Other Picks: New Orleans over Carolina Jaguars over Chiefs Bears over Cardinals Falcons over Redskins Packers over Buccaneers 49ers over Titans Seahawks over Lions |

| Enigmatic Soldier | I shoulda changed my pick for the Tampa/Green Bay game. Man, The Bucs looked better than they were since the season started. They should wear the throwback uniforms more often. Also, The Saints came back again. I wanna see how Drew plays in the cold cause it'll be cold when they go up to Carolina later. The Colts have a classic with Houston setting up another must-see Duel between Manning and Brady. I really can't wait for this game. Also, what's up with The Giants? I can't believe they let San Diego move down the field so easily on them on that final drive. One last thing, is it me or did anybody else see The Eagles get cheated out of that 4th & 1? |
