Yep, those were announced last Year I think it was. Along with a live action film coming soon too.

Something like 2 or 3 animated films and one live action planned. I'd be interested in seeing the animated ones. Freakin' 2nd and 3rd games need to be released outside of Japan first though.

live action would most likely be dissapointing given that alot of the charm in the game comes from the minimalistic art style and cartoony feel

WTH?????? In addition to the movies coming and three(+) games Japan already has, a freakin new trilogy of Layton games was announced for Japan. Starting this fall Level 5 will release the first of the three.
