The Sound of Music.
Oh, wait, that probably counts under 'shitty tastes'.

Go for comedy next time; maybe a dramedy?

American Beauty disagrees. <3

Oh, but I digress. It's hard to find good horror movies now-a-days. Everything is recycled.

Blair Witch Project says otherwise. Of course, that was the last monumental horror i saw (aside from maybe 28 Days later, i guess), but whatever.

Ironically, both AB and TBWP came out in the same year.
1999 was such a great year for movies. :3

Well it's Sci-fi rather then horror, but I enjoyed The Thing.
I'd give it a watch if you're in for a classic.

I'm referring to the 1982 version.

Is Green Mile really a horror? I'll look into Cider House and Magnolia though.

The Strangers was scary, hated how it ended though.

Ehh, the only good Stephen King adaptations were the Shining and Misery. The rest were all pretty shittily directed.
I have been meaning to see the Strangers, though. Apparently it's like Funny Games but easier to stomach?

Well if you are like me there is no such thing as scary anymore. All you can do is find some horror movie that does the genre well. Since i haven't really seen any great new horror movies I say stick with classics while every now and then putting in the new. Stay away from the Ring at all times. The Thing and IT were some great movies. Green Mile really isn't a horror movie, but is an amazing movie.
