Russell Brand Show prank telephone calls row - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What do we think?

I can sympathise with Russell Brand, he got carried away, but I think Jonathan Ross should know better. He's 47, for fuck's sake, I can't imagine my dad making prank calls like that. And I don't find Jonathan Ross funny, he has the humour of a twelve year old. I know he's like marmite, but I do like Russell Brand, he can be quite witty, especially with his vocabulary. And last year's Ponderland series was pretty funny, I'll be watching it tonight.

EDIT: Fixed it for ya. - Stooge

Not a fan of either in all honesty, anyone in a professional manner who 'exceeds moral boundaries' deserves what's coming to them, and I fully endorse the BBCs decision to suspend them from active work.

You might want to link people to an article so they know what you're talking about.

I think Russell Brand is hilarious, I think he just needs to know where to draw the line.

@chaywa- BBC's decision doesn't matter anymore. Russell Brand quit.

Ross should of quit. But his mass ego has so far stopped him from doing so.

The whole thing has been blown massively out of proportion. Andrew Sach doesn't even care about it that much, apparently he was happy with an apology. Its more on the editing staffs shoulders as Sach did tell them not to put it in.

As for the papers, they fail to mention the fact his ganddaughter is in a Burlesque dance group called the 'Satanic Sluts' (just thought I'd add that in)

Why the House of Commons and everything have got involved who knows, I saw a headline yesterday that was quote from Gordon Brown.

"Brown: This is an offence" Yeah, good one...

I agree with MA on what I think of the whole situation.

Matt Morgan usually stops him from going too far.

I haven't heard much from Brand, but what I have it had me thinking that maybe he should go elsewhere. I guess he could be funny, but really like people say he doesn't understand limits. These pranks are just another stupid thing they ended up doing.
