wasnt watching ESPN. I am playing PS3. All i am saying is the Lakers arent playing their game. They are a fast team so they need to run the court. That has always been the style of the west.

Can't wait when the Celtics start whining about the refs in games 3-5. Game 2 prove that the Celtics are beatable at home and if the Lakers win one of the games, there going to win.

Game 2 didnt prove Celtics could be beaten at home. THe damn Pistons showed the Celtics could be beaten at home. If anything Celtics win one game in LA and this series is over.

umm blinkboy, i don't know what Laker games you've been watching this year but the Lakers are not a running team... they are one of the most efficient passing teams in the league and they usually have great spacing in the triangle.

Also if you guys don't think driving in and not getting calls in the beginning of the game won't change how you play the rest of the game, you're sorely mistaken.

And your mistaken cause they are a running team. They like to move the ball around and run down the court. This is a Laker team that isnt strong in the middle anyway. THey are a shooting team and they love to run down the court to make these plays happen.

They dont have a big guy that will drive the lane enough. Also Kobe needs to stop whining. He got his technical because he complained about there suppose to be a foul but he wasnt touched. People are going to whine nonstop about refs if they lose. If you really want to make a comeback in this series the Lakers need to forget about that and play their game.

They certainly aren't a fast break team. They drive to the basket. The Celtics defense has been stopping Kobe from driving to the basket. What will generally happens is that Fisher or someone else will swing it out to Kobe o nthe perimeter, Kobe will throw in a pump fake and drive or take a beautiful jumper that at imes, seems automatic. Even as an avid Kobe player, you have to respect his shot.

But not in this series. Most of his shots have been fade aways. He isn't throwing in those useful fakes. He hasn't been driving, and he hasn't been getting fouled as much as he normally does. Why? Because the Celtics have the best defense in the league. Kobe will need to take at least 25 field goals to get off 25 clean points this series. That's not such a hot percentage.

Also, Kobe not being able to drive is affecting the big guys like Gasol. Gasol gets all of his points from Kobe, because when Kobe drives, Gasol's man will try to stop Kobe, and Kobe will pop a quick pass off to Gasol for an easy lay up. I've seen that so many times, but not this series.

The reason Kobe isn't driving in that much is because he won't get the call. Driving in and getting hacked and not getting the call is an utter waste of a possession and I don't think Kobe's inablity to get to the basket is affect their big men *cough* Gasol *cough*. Pau Gasol was more aggressive in Game 2 than Game 1 despite Kobe not being able to drive to the lane.

Most of Gasol's points as a Laker all season was solely because of Kobe driving to the lane. I watched a good number of games during the Playoffs and season, some of them being Lakers. Pau Gasol plays well when Kobe drives and is making shots.

also i would hardly call running the style of the west when you have the Spurs, Jazz, Rockets and Mavs...

Quoted for truth, especially when Tim Duncan is the least exciting star I have ever seen. He rarely makes big mistakes though. Most textbook player I've ever seen.

the only real running teams in the west is Golden State. Phoenix no longer ran when they traded for Shaq and Denver takes the first open look in the half-court. There's a big difference between playing fast pace games and being a running fast break team.

lol, "he isn't touched" dude i understand that you don't think the refs aren't that bad and shouldn't fall fouls on some contact but to say that Kobe isn't getting touched is utterly ridiculous. he gets bodied every time he drives in, it just doesn't look like a foul because its not an obvious reach/hack that most people associate with a foul.

So your saying while i was watching the game and i saw Kobe try to drive the lane and people kept missing him and yet he misses in the end? Also your saying he was touched when he got his technical? He wasnt touched. of course some fouls will always be missed but alot of times Kobe was going past them and wasnt being touched and yet complaining reguardless.

check the body dude, not everybody swings at the ball like Ronny Turiaf, i honestly cannot remember the kobe Tech perfectly, but i do know there was a lot of legitimate beef especially when Lamar Odom drove to the basket.

i'll stop here we'll just let it play out complaints by me ain't gonna get anything done anyways.
