Shadow turned around and smiled. "Thanks!" yelled Shadow before he put his sword away. "You might want to step back" answered Shadow slowly pushing the girl away. He removed a glove he had on his left arm and then revlealed a golen claw. He started to charge some black energy into his claw and it made a zaping noise. "Full" muttered Shadow before putting his claw up. A flash of light blinded the entire room and when it was gone the room was filled with dead Astaroth bodies. "Second time today" mumbled Shadow before turning around and putting his hand out to shake with the girls. "My names Shadow, what yours?" asked Shadow with a smirk. "Hey! you stop flirting with the customers and clean up your mess!" yelled the lady behind the bar. Shadow rolled his eyes and started to flop dead Astaroths over his shoulder.

"My name's Shadow," the guy said, shaking her hand. "Reika," she said back before the bartender started yelling at them. "Hey! you stop flirting with the customers and clean up your mess!" Shadow rolled his eyes and kneeled down to pick up the dead monsers and flop them over his shoulder. Reika knelt down to hel, surprising Shadow when she lifted 3 at one time. "You're strong," he said. Reika shot him a look. "You have to be strong to survive out here." Shadow smiled and they walked out the door.

"How did you learn to fight like that?" asked Shadow disinegrating the Astaroths. "Oh and don't ask why I work at this place... please it's an emmbarasing thing" smiled Shadow taking Reikas and dicinegrating them.

Reika smiled at Shadow's comment, and answered his question. "My dad taught me some things before he died when I was 10." We both watched as the Astaroths burned in front of the bar in silence. "So, why were they chasing after you?" Shadow asked, breaking the silence. "I really have no idea," Reika said. They both walked back into the bar and grabbed the last of the Astaroths, hauling them outside where the others were still burning. "Are they after you too?" she asked. Shadow sighed.

Shadow looked at Reika and sighed. "I've done some bad things" answered Shadow. Shadow walked over to the lady that kept yelling at him while a bunch off girls that still hung around stared at Shadow. "Whats worng now?" asked the lady. "Tell me the information you promised. "No you haven't finished finished your part of the bargain! any way you haven't at least attended one girl" yelled the lady. Shadow smiled and did a small giggle. "I think you under stood me, I did attend one girl, infact she will walk out of the room right now" smiled Shadow. As soon as shadow stopped talking a girl came out with rufled hair. "Hi, I'll definatly come back here" yelled the lady. "Now, tell me what I want to know!" yelled Shadow getting more aggresive and grabbing the ladies collar. "Ok ok, I'll tell" sighed the lady. Shadow released his grip and saw the lady scuttle over to a draw. She pulled out a peice of paper and handed it to Shadow. "Thats all you need, now leave!" yelled the lady. Shadow looked at the peice of paper and smiled. "Nice doing busness with you" mumbled Shadow before heading inside a room and then comming back out after a minute in his normal clothes. "Would you like to join me out of here" asked Shadow looking at Reika. "Oh don't worry, attendance means a massage, not that sick thing" smirked Shadow.

Reika giggled at Shadow's comment, and nodded. "Sure. I'll go with you." Shadow smiled and walked out the door, Reika following close behind. "So. Where are we going?" she asked. He shrugged.

"I think we need to go to a place called drooler" answered Shadow looking at the peice of paper her had. He looked at Reika and saw her confused. "Don't worry, I have a good hunch this guy will have some good information for me" smiled Shadow. After a while they headed to different alleys looking for the drooler place Shadow talked about. They approached a door and opened it and found children dead lying on the floor. "Wha- how could this happen!" yelled Shadow allarmed. He ran to a kid that was having breathing porblems. "Sh-shadow?" answered the kid confused. "Damn, this isn't good" cursed Shadow picking the child up. "Sh-shadow?" repeated the kid. Shadow looked at the corner of the place where a man lay bleeding. "What happened?" asked Shadow. "The Astaroths, they took every thing, the gold, the toys, the hearts-" answered the man before being cut off. "I hear something" answered a distant voice. Shadow looked at the kid and he had alreay died. "We have to leave this place, if they have the hearts then they can kill us, I'll explain later" answered Shadow putting the kid down and then grabbing Reika's hand as they ran out the door.

"What the hell is going on?" Reika shouted as she and Shadow ran back down the alley. "And what's all of this stuff about 'hearts'?" She could hear shouting and a couple loud thumps behind them. The two turned a corner and into another alley. But this one was a dead end. "Like I said. I'll explain later," Shadow gasped. They turned around to run back out, but found out that the end was blocked by four very large figures. Reika's hand instinctively moved to the swords strapped to her back. "Do you think we can get past them?" she asked. "I really have no idea,"Shadow responded. "But we have to try."

Shadow grabbed his sword and pointed it towards the figures. "We do not wish to fight the bearers of the heart, we just want to pass by" answered Shadow looking at the figures. "As if, we would only spare couples" answered one of the figures. "Sorry Reika, just play along" whispered Shadow before grabing Reika and hugging here with one arm. "But we are a couple" smriked Shadow. "Hmp, sorry but that act is old" laughed the figure. "Reika do something, these guys are to strong to fight us" whispered Shadow.

Reika thought for a second, then turned and looked at the figures. "We ARE a couple. We just don't like to show it. A lot of people would be jealous." One of the figures scoffed. "Then proove it." Reika turned to Shadow and looked into his eyes. "I'm sorry," she whispered. The she leaned over and kissed him.

Shadow's eye's widened while going red. "What the hell!" thought Shadow. he turned one of his eyes and saw the figures with mouths wide open. "I can't beleive this heart thing makes us have pitty for these types" mumbled one of the figures. "Me neather, but we have to, this thing is to presuase to give up" grumbled the other figure. Shadow put his hand on Reika's arm and pushed her away a little. "We didn't have to do it that long, and was that all you could think of" answered Shadow still red from what just happened. "Fine, we'll let you go, leave now" sighed one of the figures. Shadow grabbed Rieka and jumped wall to wall on the building in the alley way until they reached one of the roof tops. "Well..... that was a strange turn of events" sighed Shadow moving away from Reika and turning his face away.

"You had a better idea?" Reika asked. Shadow was silent. But by the way he was shaking his head, she could tell that he was smiling a little. "I'm sorry," she said. "I guess.... I...." Reika sighed and sat down on the edge of the building with her head in her hands. Shadow walked over and sat down next to her. "Hey. What's wrong?" he asked. Reika shook her head. "Nothing. I just find it wierd that I'm always in this situation. The same situation that I'm always in. Always like this." She paused, then said, "I'm sorry. I'm so..... over dramatic." Shadow sighed. "Okay. Two things. One, stop appligizing. Two, You're not over-dramatic. Now we should leave. It's still not very safe." Reika smiled a bit. "Okay. Lead the way."

Shadow smiled and hugged her to make shure she was fine. "Ok, looks like we need to find out where those... strange people have gone" answerd Shadow standing up. "Once we do that, we have to get the heart... oh I guess I have some explaining to do" chuckled Shadow rubbing the back of his head. Shadow took out a small peice of chocolate that was in a small box in his pocket. "Would like some? kind of random giving chocolate al of a sudden but we might as well have some food" smiled Shadow handing over a peice of chocolate. Reika took the chocolate and then Shadow started to explain. "Ok, the heart is a weapon that can give unreal super natural powers, but it wants something in return, I don't know if you figured this out but those figures wanted to hurt us no matter what we were, couple or not they wanted to hurt us with their new power, but they have to have pitty for a certain type of person or persons, and this case the heart didn't want to hurt couple, thats why we came into that um.... embarrasing postition" answered Shadow going red and hiding his face behind his scarf. "I beleive the heart is actualy connected to me, I don't know how but it's the only way to recovering my memory" sighed Shadow eating his chocolate. When he finished eating her carried on. "I lost my memory sometime ago and don't have any recolection of what happened in my past life, and when I didn't know anyone it was a lttile emmbarasing, I kinda forgot how to do everything but speak and eat, really only spaek and eat, it took a while until I found out I needed clothes" laughed Shadow. Shadow peeked over the the edge of the roof top and still saw the figures they encountered. "You know how tio be sneaky right? time to show that it's not bad to be sneaky in this case" smiled Shadow holding his hand out for Reika to hold.

Reika took Shadow's hand. "Are you kidding me?" she saad. "I was born to be sneaky."

Shadow smiled and then looked down at the figures. "Looks like our so called hearty people are moving" whispered Shadow. He looked at the top of the buildings and found the perfect one to land on so they could hear what they were saying. "This way" whispered Shadow before gripping Reika's hand tight and jumped across the building roof tops to the spot Shadow found. "I tell ya, that rumor that I heard can't be a hoaks" answered one of the figures to the other. "What do you mean? that couldn't have been him, he would have wiped us out with one shot of his claw, and they said he was lonley so why would he have a girlfreind or whatever?" asked the other figure. "Whatever, I think thats kind of offencive, thinking I'm one of those types" grumbled Shadow. "Who knows, maybe he just found her lying around, you know how usless women can be" answered the other figure. Shadow tightened his grip on Reika and smiled. "You'll get to hurt him later, first we need to see who has the heart" whispered Shadow. "Hah, can't beleive they thought we had the heart, the boss left ages ago and they thought we had the heart!" laughed one of the figures. "Yeah, what an idiot" laughed the the other figure. "Now we just have to go to the piinicle and talk to the boss for our money" whispered the other figure. "I don't think your getting your money" yelled Shadow. He had left Reika's side and ended up behind the figures. "Oh no, run!" yelled one of the figures before he left off. "So you called me stupid huh?" asked Shadow as he shot out a black band of darness from his claw and wrapped it around the figure that was fleeing.
