[Endgame]

The dissapearance of Master Yamato was sudden and bloody. The assualt itself was never seen, launched under the cover of darkness, but the aftermath spoke of it's ruthlessness.

The entire mountain village in which Yamato resided was burnt to the ground. The school itself was completly leveled. Broken bodies of fallen students littered the grounds.

But one was left alive, a new student, who hastily lit the signal beacon, a flame which had not been seen for years, for this was a very special beacon. It was only to be lit if Yamato required the immediate presence of his five greatest students, his five prodigies.

That night, the five would meet one another for the first time in years. Trained from birth by the world's greatest Kung Fu Master, they were each geniuses in their own right.

He had spoke of this day, that the day his five students came together again would be the catalyst for a series of events from which one martial artist would emerge greatest among his peers, and great throughout the land.

The time had come.

Ari smiled softly, her face silhouetted in the single light that dimmed after each moment of time that passed. Her mind flicked memories of her past as the man in front of her spoke. It wasn’t that she wasn’t paying attention she just had a sense. “I want them hurt!” the man said finally. At this she stiffened at this as she said finally after taking a final puff of the cigar from her mouth
“I don’t hurt, I end.”
Arianna Kitonia or Deathwish. Either name she took she still bore the markings of a woman scorned.
“Well I am paying you to hurt” he threw a large sum of cash on the table and she leant forward “I already said I end. Maybe you should bring a book and find out what my actual profession is”
“You are an Assassin for Hire, and I am hiring you to not kill a man”
She was a demon her true blood ran deep but she was a prodigy. She ginned at the mans ignorance.
“Perhaps you should have looked into the body guard business?” Ari scooped up the cash and placed in a pile on the middle of the table “But I don’t hurt, I’ll kill” The man pulled his chair from under the table and was shocked to find Ari’s leg holding it. “I told you I end”

His life ended quickly. He mistook her for a common child; although she was simply still human she was as Yamato her teacher said special. She piled the cash and placed it in her bag. Walking out she signalled to her boss to “clean up” as she wiped her hands on her top. She was followed by a flurry of curses at her incompetence but he was silenced as half the cash was emptied on his desk.

“I'm having my vacation early” And with those words she strutted out of the pub and onto the streets. Women and children played but gave her the obvious stare. She was known and feared. Whether hated or not she never knew. But she was good at her job she was good at her world. But her world would come crashing down as she walked into the temple of Yamato. Her home she found out had been destroyed. She stood out the front of the templ gates. Unsure of what to think next

OOC: For any one unfamiliar with my style, inside of asterisks is the "thoughts" of my character. I'll be toying with a new writing style that is more internal for this rp, which I can assure you will not interfere with my interactions with other characters.

"It's cold."

*Though it really is always cold out here. With the towering snow-capped mountains bordering this valley-basin village, it's a small wonder these people don't wear their sheep's skin outright. Hard to imagine they'd ever think of selling it outside the village. I guess it's just stupidity though....and no one is easier to steal from than the foolish....hehe.....*

Yeo's face warped into a tight, but far-extending grin as he thought of all the opportunities that lay before him in this village. The great Senkyoku mountains closed in the village like a city locked in time, and isolated from the rest of the world. If he caused trouble here, only the local guard would give him a fight, and as most of the patrons were farmers who lived out on the many ranges and foothills between and on the mountains, he could be certain the city square would be sparsely populated, highly untravelled, and equally as un-guarded.

*Ten, twenty guards tops. Easy work, even if they are buffed up farmers, I doubt they could even hit me. At least I hope not. I don't really feel like killing any one today. Honestly, I don't wanna see any dead people at all. That last town had a public execution. Ridiculous in my opinion. They do it so every one will know the punishment for the crime, but in a town that small even a wanderer can hear the gossip, they'd all know he was dead by nightfall anyway. Makes me feel better about my job. People these days deserve worse than what I do. Besides, I bring people together. If they all hate me, they won't hate each other so much.*

A loud laugh reverberated in the valley as Yeo entered the city. People looked up startled, and he pat himself on the head in apology, he hadn't even noticed he'd arrived in town yet.

"Back to work!" Three very small balls dropped out of the sleeve of his cloak and began to dance around between his hands. Children began to pour out of houses and shops all around him, crowding him with gasping faces as the balls were set ablaze as if with some arcane magic. Their gasps drew the attention of their parents.

*Parents who have purses. Purses that have money.That's right mother, drop the coins into the hat. MY MY grandma, your pouch is quite heavy, let me help you.*

With a flourish, he appeared before the old woman and her young charge. Lifting his tips hat off the ground in front of them, he waved his hand over the top. In the blink of an eye, the hat was nearly twice as full. Plucking a single coin from the newly replenished pile, he seemed to swallow it whole, only to discover it beneath the boy's shoe. He handed the boy the coin with a strong, charismatic smile, and winked.

*I'm such a generous man. I gave that boy a free coin. Sad it was his grandma's though, but I guess when you win, someone has to lose.*

As his hand passed over the hat, he flexed his leg, pinching off the old woman's purse and emptying it into his other hand waiting in the opposing sleeve. His unmatched precision and coordination allowed him to roll the coins off his chest and out his sleeve into the hat before the crowd could notice the movements. He could manipulate his body into moving however he willed it at great speeds, and horrible exactness. It was demeaning to his martial arts training that it would be reduced to such low tactics, but it did make it very easy, and virtually undetectable.

*It rather helps that people always tend to see what they wish to see, and who doesn't want to be mystified by magic and sorcery? But that's not what I'm here for today, these coins won't last through the week the way I eat. No, much bigger prizes indeed.....*

And so they were.

Later that night Yeo was spotted making a bee-line out of town, a priceless golden idol beneath his robes, and three men on his tail but sadly very far behind. Their dogs, however, were almost keeping pace with him.

*I need to get the hell out of here. Those dogs look hungry, and I hate killing animals. I'm going to have to run until they pass out or give up, because that'll happen before I can lose them. Damn hounds....*

"I HATE DOGS!"

And so he ran, for nearly 5 hours until the darkest depths of the night had submerged him in its blanket. The dogs had seemed to give up their chase nearly an hour before, but it wouldn't pay to give up, if his....job...had taught him anything, things are never as they appear. That, and you can never know what to expect next. He had, in his constant back-turned sprint, run full mast into a burning village nestled in the side of the mountain. Halting where he stood and sliding forward nearly a foot as he did, he stared awestruck at the carnage.

*Shit. I thought I'd see all the death I'd have to today. I can only guess there isn't an inn around to get a bed and a hot meal......Damn it.*
