~ ~ ~ Battle For Wract~ ~ ~

Wract was peaceful when all beings lived in harmony, but there are those who choose to make the world corrupt and dishonest. That is why the k’da had teamed up with the armed foreces, they reside on the mechanical part, and the Yuna were so torn by the betrayal of the K’da they even split their whole clan into two different parts, the yuna of the forest and the yuna of the mountains. Never to show their faces in the same place where they were once at peace. Until…..that fateful day where the fate of Wract would be solved in a major battle of good vs. evil. The k’da and their allies the Armed forces who have specialized in mechanical usage. And on the other side is the graceful Yuna clan. With their speciality in magic and well known for their speed and stamina.

A slightly young man that has desendents of both the Yuna Clan and the K’da clan. His name is Julius Dra’Kon. And he is the heir to both the K’da and the yuna, the peacemaker and one of humanities last hope to save Wract and bring about peace to the planet and restore it to its previous beauty of gracefulness and not the stage it is at now, which is destruction and chaos everywhere you turn….

“ I cannot believe how long it has been since I have been back in this part of Wract about 10 years at least.” Julius said as he wondered around the plains of Wract just enjoying the outdoors, until he encountered some sort of demon like thing that stood over 9 feet tall, Julius knew it was the sign of the k’da Making their move. Quickly reacting and even before the demon could make a move Julius fires lightning bolts strait at the head ..” Demon or whatever you had no chance in hell against me…” Just as Julius said that he felt an enormous force coming towards the fields, the forces of K’da were nearing him.

So being the clever thinker he is, Julius fled to his hut and got the rest of his weapons and prepared for the ultimate battle that will decide the fate of the whole galaxy….Good vs. evil.

Right at the top of the final tower of the gigantic K'da Fortress, there lies an ancient and magnificent cathedral to which most members of the K'da come to pray to their god, but mostly, its where the wise and all knowing Prayer can be found, the only being in all of Wract able to talk to the great Arkodin. At the moment, the entire area was empty, beside for the Prayer who was chanting in the ancient language.

"Lusa du sa ur knayd Arkodin. Ouin muoym canjyhd pacaalrac ouin tejeha bnacahla. Knyhd sa dra bufan du caa drnuikr ouin aoac uh drec myht, uh ouin vydavim canjyhdc fru canja oui yht uhmo oui. Knaydacd uv ymm dra kutc, rayn sa!" Finishing his chanting, the Prayer took out a strange looking dagger to which he proceeded to press it against his opened palm forming a cut that began to seep out blood.

Placing the dagger onto the altar, the Prayer then pressed his hand down onto it, before moving and using the blood to draw a strange symbol onto the surface. Once it was complete, it instantly began to glow effecting the Prayer in the same way, two glowing golden eyes shining out through the darkness of his hood. Many fantastic images began running through the Prayer's eyes, one of that Necromancer Mortuus, another of someone who has not been here for the longest time, the outcast Mike Gilfran, but the final image was the one the Prayer was searching for.

Traversing the great plains of Wract, a small force of K'da members were marching across the ground towards where the last known location of the target was seen. The commanders of this group rode on their own Ground Dragons, while the others merely marched behind them. The lead commander, who was wearing a full suit of dark looking armor stared off ahead of the rest, moving his arm to them signaling to stop.

Moving its creature slowly forward towards the remains of the demon that was currently laying on the ground, the commander stopped once beside it, examining it closely. From the looks of it, the demon was killed with a single powerful attack to the head, most notably some sort of a lightning attack. What brought a smirk to the commanders face however, was that of the small amount of smoke and burning flesh could still be smelt, which meant that the attacker was still in the area.

Turning back a little to the troups, the commander gave the command to march forward further in the same direction, and to not stop until they found whoever was responsible, though they already knew it was highly possible to have been their target. As they continued to move, the eyes of the commander suddenly glowed for a brief moment, giving the Prayer, who was still in a trance like state within the temple inside the K'da fortress, the ability to see what was happening.

Upon seeing in the far distance that of a small hut, the commander instantly gave the order to charge, causing him and his lower in command to blast across the plains, shaking the very earth itself with the huge forces of the Ground Dragons stomping, making it almost impossible to stop them as they were. Following closely behind them, were the remaining K'da soldiers ready to complete their task at a moments notice.

Kyoroj crept through the underbush as he watched the appearance of the Yuna-lookalike mage, and the horde of K'da that had appeared shortly afterwards. From the look of things, the Yuna-lookalike was half Yuna, and was a pretty dangerous guy. So were the mobs of K'da, though they were less dangerous. Made up for it in noise and flash though.

Kyoroj sat back in his covered area and congratulated himself for finding such a good hiding spot. There were small, little bushes and trees in the windswept plains that he was currently sitting in - so few in amount that it was impossible to even squat in one. The stunted plants and weeds likewise. It was a depressing scene. Though had found this hiding place through sheer luck, he believed that it was on purpose.

Ok, alright, he had fallen into a hole.

It wasn't very glamorous. A Yuna of his rank being defeated by a mere hole in the ground. If this happened in a battle, Kyoroj would've stabbed himself before the enemy could, out of shame. But this wasn't a battle (yet), and he made good use of this hole. It was covered by two rare bushes also, so the only way to find him would be to stand right on top and look down, while he could peak out of the slight foliage. It seemed that the hut the halfling had ran into was the target of the charge.... so many K'da for just one person? Hmm...

Kyoroj's contemplation was broken as he felt something slithering near his right foot. He looked down and saw a bright red and yellow snake curling up his leg. An extremely poisonous bright and yellow snake.

He yelled and immediately leaped out of the hole, shaking the snake off quickly with an impromptu dance. The snake flew through the air and hit a nearby K'da soldier across the face.

His teammates immediately turned and looked at Kyoroj. As if the yelling was not enough, he had to hit them with something as well. Well, there was nothing to it. He would have to fight. So much for "inconspicuous".

"It's a Yuna!! Get him!"
Kyoroj backed away and waved his hands in a friendly manner. "Look, that was an accident alright? Umm... can we, like, talk this over with a pot of tea or something? No?"

Kyoroj sighed and drew his daggers as the K'da soldiers charged at him. He had taken down a whole battalion before singlehanded, they should be no problem.

Right?

"Julius. What is it that you seek being in such a place?? Why don't you invoke the true nature of your instincts??"

Erebos spoke to the man's mind, not bothering to voice his thoughts, and literally speaking through his thoughts. The being was nearby, but for the time being he was completely unnoticeable to any and all whom were around, he merely manipulated them so that they couldn't sense him using any sense that he could think of. Basically that meant that he was all around, and it was pointless to try and find him.

He continued, "So boy, do you believe that what you do is right?? or is there a notion to your justice that means you believe the world is going to fall, or in another way get better??"

His croaking raspy laugh was so twisted that it no doubt sent chills down Julius' spine....

"This is always fun." This time, Erebos' voice was a real sound, and he was walking slowly toward Julius, his hand outstretched as if in greeting. He could be sen from the hut that Julius was in and as he moved, the ground ripped open and Erebos laughed again. It was as if the very ground was calling out in agony as Erebos moved over it.

"Come boy, or I shall destroy all that you might hold dear...."

As he saw some soldiers of the k’da forces approach him, Julius stood up with his long ice sword in his hand ready to do battle with them, and that is when he heard a strange voice slighty echo inside of his head, not sure what this voice was or if it was a voice. It sounded more like a message of some sort, but then the voice started to echo inside of his head; in a telepathic way of connection.

Julius. What is it that you seek being in such a place?? Why don't you invoke the true nature of your instincts??"*

Julius did not reconglize this voice, it seemed like a monstrous voice trying to enter his mind, the sanctuary of his thoughts. Then not even a minute after that intrusion of his thoughts..Julius said out loud, obviously creating a scène “WHO THE HELL ARE YOU, COME OUT AND FACE ME LIKE A MAN!!!!” He roared out loudly not caring who heard and who did not hear. Then as if Julius hadn’t had enough the voice spoke once again… this time in longer terms…

"So boy, do you believe that what you do is right?? or is there a notion to your justice that means you believe the world is going to fall, or in another way get better??"*

Getting fed up with this being’s antics, he decided to do something rash, but also common for anybody in this situation, Julius was about to raise his energy up a bit to prepare for any up coming attack, and that is when he heard the same voice but this time it was not in his head, but more like it came nearby. “So you decided to show yourself huh, well then do it; come tome face to face so I can see this being…” Julius shouted out loud as he saw the ground crackle and separate, then he saw a being float of levetate of some sort. Then he said to Julius…

"Come boy, or I shall destroy all that you might hold dear...."

Julius heard the arrogant words of this being, and this made him even more angrier, but at the same time that anger started to build up, a small source of understanding came to mind. “This guy can’t possibly serious, just like that he is showing his face to me, and now he is holding out his hand out without no reason. No, there has to be a reason.” Julius thought to himself as he stepped forward dropping his ice blade on the ground and walked near the being.

“Before I accept this so-called hand gesture, I have to ask for your name.. No name, no reason for us to be civilized.” Julius told the man as he awaited the name of this strange being.

“Before I accept this so-called hand gesture, I have to ask for your name.. No name, no reason for us to be civilized.” Erebos looked amused but since he was literally not much more than a skeleton, his smile came off as a twisted twitch of his jawbone. He continued to move forward until his form was only a few feet away from Julius, and now he was satisfied.......

Already there were a bunch of people terrified at the thought of a skeleton walking and function that didn't appear as a monstrous being. "My name, is Erebos Temperance Reforge. You may call me any of these names, but that really doesn't matter." He smiled again, and a man several yards away burst into flames and began screaming, his body consumed by the flames as he perished with out much more than the notion of bewilderment and remorse.

"Oops, was that uncivilized of me?? Maybe I should just kill you all." His skeletal hands burned with cosmic fire.

He spoke directly into Julius' mind again. "This is more than you can handle, What can you do??"

Kurai sat in the bushes, hidden from view. He was observing all that was going on. Who was this mysterious character. He was trying to listen for anything.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU, COME OUT AND FACE ME LIKE A MAN!!!!”

Who was he talking to? He didn't see anyone in view besides a whole bunch of K'da soldiers. He knew he surely wasn't talking to them. He saw the man holding his sword, ready for anything. Kurai then saw the ground split, and a figure there. What was this thing? What was going on? The figure reached his hand out, and as the other man got closer, the figures hands were engulfed in flames.

Kurai looked at Kage, who was sitting next to him, also watching, waiting for his master's orders. "Hmm, Kage what should we do?" Kurai stood up and looked around " Don't want to get into any trouble, so lets make our leave."

They walked for a bit, still able to see the skeletal figure and man. He heard a yell of a man coming from not to far away, he slowly walked closer to where the yell had come from. He saw a man backing from a whole bunch of K'da who looked very ticked off. Kurai said to himself "Hmm...wonder what happened?"He saw that the man was of the Yuna race, even though Kurai left the Yuna, he still had to help him out. He took out his guns "Kage, stay here till your needed", at that moment he ran up to the mans side ""Need any help here? If not, i'm still fighting anyways."

Kyoroj glanced up in surprise as another Yuna appeared near him. Apparently, there was another good hiding spot, for he had not noticed this newcomer until now. One of the bad things about fighting against other Yuna is that they also have the same knack for disappearing into nowhere. It made it hard to track other Yuna, especially those of the forest.

Kyoroj's eyebrows raised even higher in surprise as he noticed the newcomer had guns... not a very traditional weapon of the Yuna, but that was irrelevant. Because he noticed the K'da had them also.

Ahh... the good old days when the K'da soldiers and infantry and the other uncivilized races could only bang against people with their shoddy swords and rusted axes... but no more. Now they had become high tech... and much harder to kill. They worked extremely well with the Ground Dragons, supporting them from afar with aimed shots. But this time, they had no Ground Dragons to be their shields.

He quickly whipped his head to the right, his body following in a dodge-dive like maneuver as the K'da started firing, missing him by inches.

"Well... I'm not one to pull someone else into my fights, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated!" Kyoroj called back as he dodged again, but this time forward, closing the distance between him and the K'da. Suddenly, he sprang forward and whipped his daggers upward in a two-stroke maneuver, slicing lethal gashes into the first soldier, before springing off the dying soldier's shoulders up into the air.

Kyoroj was vulnerable in the air, as the soldiers could now just pick him off at their leisure, but not all of them could react fast enough before he came down. He was counting on that.

While most of the K'da soldiers weren't fast enough to bring their weapons up to point at him, two were somehow able to. It was these two that Kyoroj targeted, and a split second later, both of them had been taken care of by a precise dagger throw.

Kyoroj landed then into the midst of the K'da in a flurry of steel and blood. Now this was his territory. The K'da, by throwing away their traditional swords, had become severely crippled in close distance battles, as they could not shoot without harming each other.

Then he saw a few draw their strange, inverted curve blades and he realized that he was in trouble. Some of these guys were the elite infantry of the K'da. Their melee prowess was top-notch, and on par with even the Yuna when it came to speed. One leaped towards Kyoroj before he was ready to react - but then suddenly burst into flames and instead ran past him, screaming in pain. Kyoroj eyed that burning man with confusion. Did the newcomer do that? Whatever, he needed to be ready...

He did hope the newcomer was experienced in battle.

Julius saw as Reforge used his own powers to set a K’da solider on fire . Then upon that soldier being burnt to a crisp, Reforge suddenly said to Julius..

"Oops, was that uncivilized of me?? Maybe I should just kill you all."

Actually quite shocked at the ruthlessness of Reforge, Julius was about to say something, but that is when he yet again went into the mind of Julius and spoke.. “This is more than you can handle, What can you do??" Julius had been tired of Reforge getting inside of his head, and only the pure instinct of his pride kept him from losing all control..

“You say this is more than I can handle, then obviously you don’t know me entirely. “ Julius said pausing for a brief moment… “What can I do, well I can force you out of my mind, cause this is my mind, and the host can easily force any intruder out, and indeed you are an intruder inside my mind.. “Julius said as he shouted as loud as he could, lightning and ice broke about wildly, out of control; no stable ground in terms of the power that was being released, as if emotion was the only source of his power at the moment.

“To answer your question, I can use my power to force you out of my mind and I can also counter any attempt that you make to harm me in any way. So go for it, if you want to come at me or do you want to join forces..the mighty Erebos Temperance Reforge and the true heir to Wract; Julius Dra’kon. Think about it if we join forces true peace can finally come to this world..but it is just a suggestion.” Julius said to Erebos putting an offer on the table, an offer that would bring true peace to Wract.

Erebos was amused at the situation, so he merely looked up and then sighed, like usual his sigh being raspy and inhuman sounding.“What can I do, well I can force you out of my mind, cause this is my mind, and the host can easily force any intruder out, and indeed you are an intruder inside my mind.. “ This was where Erebos began cackling, throwing his head back as he bellowed out loud at what Julius was saying.

"You are so young child, yet you actually think you are correct in your babbling, but go on." By this time energy from Julius was rapidly bursting about, but it should have been obvious that though it was out of control, none of the rampart sparks of lightning, nor blasts of ice touched him.....after the next thing that Julius said, Erebos floated afoot forward and stopped.

The entire area turned green, and all that Julius could see were bunches of maggots destroying what was left of the men that had been there. Blood soaked into the ground and the screams of half mutilated women and dying children ripped through the air. "So you believe all that you were saying. You seriously think you can force me out of you mind. You don't have what it takes to do such a thing. Mighty you may be, but your abilities don't mingle with those of the mind." The reality that Erebos had trapped Julius in shattered and everything returned to normal.

"If you can prove to me that you are worthy of my powers to help you, I'll join you, but if not, I'll merely work against you, This world is as is to me." He pulled out a staff, "So boy, defend yourself, or die."

"Well... I'm not one to pull someone else into my fights, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated!"
"Ok" Kurai watched him roll toward the K'da and start attacking "Eh, might as well do the same". He ran and then jumped up on a K'da soldiers shoulders and jumped off. He then turned around and started shooting multiple bullets at the soldiers from behind. He landed and saw the soldiers turn to him. He lifted his hand up and 4 ice daggers formed. He pointed to the soldiers and the daggers whipped toward them, hitting 4 soldiers directly in the head.

He ran back towards the other Yuna and stopped. He saw a K'da on fire and it ran right past him "What the???" He looked at the man, as for him to answer, but he didn't know either. He pulled his gun out and shot the K'da. His scream was ear peircing. Just then, he turned around to look back at the other Yuna and saw a soldier charging at him "whoa", just then the soldier slowed down "huh??". He turned around and saw Kage, his eyes were glowing and he was looking at the soldier. Kurai pointed his gun at the soldiers head and shot him.

Kage flew in and landed next to Kurai and the other Yuna. "Thanks Kage, ok, now lets finish the rest of these scums off shall we?" More and more K'da were approaching.

"If you can prove to me that you are worthy of my powers to help you, I'll join you, but if not, I'll merely work against you, This world is as is to me." Reforge said to Julius

Julius could hear the words of Reforge just sync into his mind, he didn’t want to fight Reforge, but just merely stand his ground against the monster. So indeed Julius ran towards his little hut, or at least near it where he had dropped his ice sword. So performing acrobatic maneuvers, and he grabbed his weapon and not even wasting any time to get the first attack on Reforge, Julius raised his weapon just calling upon the power of ice to aid him, particles of left over shards of ice started to come near the blade, as the particles started to appear, the eyes of Julius turned into an icy blue color, this definatly is the start of fight for his life, but what was Julius planning. He is planning to hold his ground against this monstrosity.

“You ready for this Erebos” Julius said grabbing his weapon tight by the hilt and swinging it for a total of two times and that is when twin beams of ice came to form from the force created from the ice, and with Julius’s control over the ice this was a simple matter of compressing the ice into his weapon and transferring that ice into a beam form was a piece of cake for Julius.

As Julius fired the beams of ice towards Reforge, he then quickly opened his free hand to where shocks of electricity was just starting to appear in his palm, not noticeable by reforge Julius raised that hand, causing the shocks to shoot up into the air. The clouds became darker, and lightning stroke down at any place, at any given moment.

“Heh, perfect; the field is now set for my defence.” Julius mumbled in a low hush tone so that Reforge wouldn’t hear the plan that he had in mind..then that is when a second set of electricity occurred within the electrifying palm of Julius’s right hand. Then before the beams of ice could get any closer to Reforge, Julius shot lightning bolts at the ice beams as if it was to aid it to make it grow in strength, and have electric shocks surround the twin beams making it even more deadlier and harder for Reforge to counter..

“See if you can get out of this.” Julius said to Reforge as the now lightning ice twin beams came near Erebos

As the K'da forces started to get closer towards the location they believed their target to have been, the sudden appearance of someone new, was more then enough to halt the entire group before some of the soldiers closest to the person decided to attack without their commander's approval. Sighing a little at the recklessness of those soldiers, the Commander waved his hand to show that he wanted a part of the army to continue on, while he and his two captains stayed atop of their huge Ground Dragons.

Slowly stomping forward as the largest portion of the army continued on towards were Julius and Erebos were fighting, the Commander smiled a little from underneath his metal helmet, before he briefly turned his head towards each one of his Captains, who in turn did the very same in understanding. Waving one of their hands in the general direction of Kurai and Kyoroj, two of the royal guards that accompanied the army immediately shot forward, ready to deal with the two fighters.

That was until one of the Royal Guards suddenly combusted into flames, running around screaming which caused the other soldier to briefly stop in shock at what had befallen the soldier. While most of the men who stayed to fight against the two immediately stopped in slight fear at what had just happened, the three leaders of this little army didn't even flinch, especially the Commander, who simply smiled more from underneath his metal mask.

"Now!" was the first and only word the Commander said to his Captains, who suddenly pulled back on the reins before charging towards the now three warriors at an earth shattering speed. Roaring as they charged, the two captains immediately leaped off of their speeding transports withdrawing their large curved blades before slicing them down towards Kurai, Kyoroj and Kage. As this was going on, the two Ground Dragons they were riding were still charging forward, mowing down any of their own soldiers that were foolish enough to stay in their way, while the Commander continued to stay atop of his own personal mount watching everything go on.

Turning his head, and looking at the fighting that was happening quite a distance away, the gleaming golden eyes of the Commander stared at all of the fighting that was currently happening from all sides, to which the Prayer could see the very same. Laughing a little hysterically, the Prayer could tell that some powerful force was fighting against their target, though one way or another this fighting couldn't last forever. Making the Commander under his control turn his head back towards the closest fighting, the Prayer was starting to become slightly impressed with how the three warriors were doing against the never ending onslaught of the K'da forces.

Kyoroj sighed at the neverending onslaught of K'da forces.

Really, how many times do i have to kill them? Kyoroj thought as he sliced through another doomed soldier before flipping his hand backwards and speared another soldier behind him with a thrown knife without turning around. He blazed through another two before he noticed that Kurai and his... pet.... had joined the fight. Hopefully on his side, as they amassed quite a few kills.

He looked up in despair. Not only was it getting repetitive and tiring, he was also now not fighting for a cause he believed in... he had only been in that hole in the first place because of the K'da running around, and he didn't want to reveal his presence.

Then the ground started shaking as two huge Ground Dragons charged towards him. Well, this might make things a bit interesting.

On the first pass, Kyoroj had no choice except to dodge away deftly. The Ground Dragon was too close for him to amount any effective counter, and he needed to open his windstones, which would take a bit of time. As he waited for the familiar surge, the Ground Dragon turned and made another pass, this time determined not to miss. His beady eyes glared at Kyoroj and he knew there would be no chance of any trickery this time.

Kyoroj backed away and prayed for the windstones to hurry up. He had released the 5th one on his right hand - the one for speed and agility. It was also the fastest to release, though with the Dragon's speed, it would be a close thing. Now it came down to luck and nothing more.

The Ground Dragon was getting closer...

5 meters...
4 meters....
3 meters....

Kyoroj closed his eyes and in that instant, he felt the windstone release. Immediately, he snapped his eyes open and sprang into the air, shouting in joy as he flew over the Ground Dragon.

The Ground Dragon could do nothing except slow down and look up in frustration as Kyoroj soared over him - which was a bad move, as Kyoroj dropped a few daggers from that height. Kyoroj never really expected them to hit, but hit they did, as they thudded into the Dragon in a satisfactory manner.

Kyoroj landed lightly despite falling from such a high height and shouted with joy as he sprang around the battlefield once more, this he moved so fast he was little more than a green-black blur. Kyoroj's windstones were special - they took time to release, unlike the usual instant release most commoner Yuna's used, but in return, the power they gave were many times stronger.

Kyoroj made his way towards the Commander. It was obvious which one the Commander was... it was the only one not fighting, and the most important of the K'da right here, right now. Plus, if he took the Commander alive, he could find out some useful stuff...

“You ready for this Erebos”

Erebos waved his hand in a bored fashion. "I think I should be asking YOU that question, but sure go ahead, try me and show your foolishness." It wasn't long before he started to laugh. "There it is already. I CAN read your mind and you are making your plans all too obvious to me, but it's so pathetic that it shouldn't matter anyway." He watched the beams move towards him and stood there for the longest time, in fact right up until the beams would have collided. Then he shrugged and the beams impacted with a barrier of telekinetic energy, one could see the beams trying to break through the barrier, but it was of no use at all. With a flick of his wrist, Erebos sent the beams spiraling off into the distance.

"That was a waste child, but I'll give you that it was amusing and could have been a nice attack." His taunt wasn't over the top, but had such a pang of pity that it might as well have been a bruise to Julius' honor. "Whatever," he didn't moved again, but with so much of him staring in Julius' direction a blast of telekinetic pressure slammed towards Julius from two sides. This was a great form of attacking, mainly because a person couldn't; really sense the attack coming, nor figure out the method until it was too late.

The pressure was enough to both freeze Julius in place and restrict movement, but Erebos didn't use another attack, he merely waited to see how his foe was planning to resist the near megaton pressure that could crush him at any time.
