“Oh geez, so that punk runs and these guys show up huh?? It just seems so unfair to me to be all by myself with such powerful people lurking in the shadows all the time.” Gal’in was of course saying these things loud enough for the others to hear, he was taunting them, but only because he was bored. One would think that Reforge already had the upper hand in the situation. Marcus had claimed to be on his side already, and he was literally holding Nagase in his clutches, so a false move by the Council was apparently dangerous.

Reforge looked down towards the ground as he was only about one hundred, or so feet up. “Nagase, it seems to me that there are those below that might want to break this up. You haven’t exactly stated which side your on, but I can assume that even though I love you, and you return those feelings, that you are on theirs, so you can choose what you wish to do at this point.”

Gal’in grinned and flew near Vido’s head. “Heyy there Vido, long time no see huh??”

The peace of mind that Vidofnir experienced had snapped. He didn't flinch as Gal'in flew near his head. There was a possibility that he wanted to fight, and if that was the case, then Vidofnir would have no choice in the matter. Even with a truce, fighting could break out at any time. Vidofnir concluded that he would attack if Galin attacked. He didn't know about the others though. He was sure they would assist, and three against one was a sure victory. Maybe.

Purple energy flared in his palm before fading away. A little warm up.

"Gal'in," Vidofnir said. "Are you here to fight or babble?" It wasn't a rhetorical question; Vidofnir did want to know.

"Because the spectacle I have just witnessed implies an evanescent white flag. Is that what it truly is, or is it a reason to fight?"

“Why is everyone so tense these days?? A dragon can’t say ‘hello’ to a human anymore?? Geez, all I did was fly over and greet you, and you get all defensive and start showing energy and stuff.” Gal’in flapped his wings with no real purpose behind the action other than to make fairy dust fall down around Vido and himself. “Seriously man, you are so, I dunno anymore. I used to like you, but now you are all trying to kill Reforge and all, what’s up with that??”

He didn’t say more because it seemed that Vido was thinking on other matters, almost completely ignoring what he said and responding with a different line of subject matter. "Are you here to fight or babble?" Gal’in kind of frowned, as close to a frown would be with the kind of face and lips he had anyway. Vido must still have been angered about his defeat at the hands of Reforge previously and now wanted to take it out on Gal’in because of that loss.

The dragon flew back and forth, zooming around like a fly before stopping and sitting on Vido’s shoulder. “If I wanted to fight, don’t you think I would have blown you guys up by now??” The small dragon laughed, and put its head down. “I don’t think its babble, just friendly conversation.”

Fairy dust sprinkled on Vidofnir's robes. Ignoring it, he once again leaned against the fence. Maybe there was still a truce. If he fought now, he'd be half-hearted anyway.

Gal'in flew this way and that before finally alighting on Vidofnir's shoulder. Vidofnir was unperturbed as he looked at the exotic creature.

“If I wanted to fight, don’t you think I would have blown you guys up by now??” The small dragon laughed, and put its head down. “I don’t think its babble, just friendly conversation.”

"Well," Vidofnir began, "Reforge has long ago been sentenced to death because of unforgivable acts of destruction and murder. With you being his partner, I feel it is necessary to continuously keep up my guard." Vidofnir eyed the creature, smirking. "How do I know you won't blast me into the heavens right now?

Not bothering for an answer, Vidofnir continued. "If I am to make the foolish mistake of fully believing you, then I can assume that Reforge has a likewise desire to put our little skirmishes on hold, am I right? And that Nagase just might be hesitant when it is time to return to her duties?"

"Reforge has long ago been sentenced to death because of unforgivable acts of destruction and murder. With you being his partner, I feel it is necessary to continuously keep up my guard." Gal'in made a mewing noise and looked behind him at this remark then stayed silent for a moment. He caught the rest of what Vido said, but that part was the thing that made the dragon almost cringe.

He chose to answer the man carefully. "Well, I can't really speak for him ya know, I'm his partner, but other than that I can't really justify everything he does, but then again, you can't really justify what you do either can you??" Gal'in looked up at Reforge.

"If we have committed murder, what about when Reforge was still leader, and you were the one who carried out the slaughter of the Poschet Elves??" Gal'in faced Vido on his shoulder. "You killed them all, just because they were against the order. Is that not murder??" The small dragon continued referring to Nagase. "I don't know Nagase all that well, so how can I know what she will do?? You are around her more than I am, but what is it that make you believe what we are doing is so wrong??"

Vidofnir stared out at the city of Dras Leona. "I was wondering if you would bring that up. True, that was brutal killing? But you may forget that Reforge was once a good man, and that he would never order the annihilation of a race unless absolutely necessary. This was one of those cases. The Poschet Elves were barbarians from the days of their birth, relentlessly killing men and children and raping the women before killing them as well. Their numbers kept multiplying and multiplying until they finally became a major threat to Yureaty. I did what I had to, what I felt was the best for everyone, even if it was repulsive.

"That is also why I wish to stop Reforge, even kill him if I must," Vidofnir continued. "And although he murders and destroys for the sake of a peaceful world rid of evil and taint, he's only doing it for a mere legend; a myth, by my standards. There is no guarantee that his treacherous efforts are worthwhile, that the Ba'al Legend may indeed come true. Nothing will change my opinion on that. I won't entrust all my faith into something that may not be true at all. Therefore, the acts you and Reforge have committed are indeed wrong; it's like fighting a war that might not even exist.

"As for Nagase, I know not what goes on in her mind and heart. It is her decision alone, but if she decides to stay with Reforge..." Vidofnir hesitated and sighed. "That will be the first time when I won't know what to do. She's a good friend."

Marcus woke up with a major headache, his mind numb and cloudy. All he remembered was that he had found Nagase kissing some guy, with a dragon. He was suprised about what happened, the dragon threatened to kill him. He was kind of scared of that dragon. He sat up as he realized he was back in his hotel, he remembered telling the Dragon that he wanted to help. He hoped that they would accept his invitation. So that he could join them.

He was not sure if they were the good or bad, but he wanted to know more. The Council sure wasnt telling him anything. He wanted to know and he thought that the others may be able to tell him. He would wait them out for a littl time, but not forever. He sat up and went to his bag and took out some meat then cooked it on the small fire stove in the room. He ate his food then headed out to the hotel cafe. He sat at the table drinking some warm ale.
