| A beat your chest can seize up to | Stavros watched the girl play with the sand, She seems so responsible, but at the same time so young. . . "You're safe now" She said finally, with a smile. Stavros returned the smile with a weak one of his own, "Safe. . ." He muttered as a wave of exhaustion finally caught up to him. ((Meh, short post. . .)) |

| Twilight Knight | "Hey, i know you had a rough day. I cant even imagine what it would be like to...Uhh, nevermind. Well, i guess we can head back to my house if ya want." Taylor said standing up, brushing the sand off her body. She looked out onto the horizon, the sunset staining the water a purple/pink color. She looked back down to Stavros, and wondered how he was able to get off the plane. She wrapped the towel around her waist, and helped him get to his feet. "It's not very far. I live pretty close to the beach." She slowly started walking down the path, making sure she kept Stavros steady. He was still shaking a little, but he could walk. |

| Twilight Knight | Dæxx arrived at the beach only to find a scene finishing its course below him. A man on the ground and a girl standing over him with a few others crowed around here and there. The man's clothing was tattered, as if something had happened to him. Dæxx then realized where he had gone in his moment of incapacitation. He had arrived at the beach where the plane had crashed not 100 kilometers from the shore. "What brought me here of all places?" "Time has no meaning to you anymore, Dæxx." His head burst with pain. Pulses of nauseating spikes seemed to strike his head as the voice echoed in his mind. He walked down to catch a closer look at the small group below him hoping to eavesdrop on the situation. His headache was beginning to falter at this point, but the voice almost seemed to strengthen it for a short amount of time. He coughed as he walked across the sand and set his bags down. He had to sit before he collapsed of exhaustion. "Ugh, two hours of sleep is not good for the soul... No rest for the wicked my ass. Even we need to sleep well now and again." He halted his mumbling when he heard the voices chime up to where he could understand. Girl: "I cant even imagine what it would be like to... Uhh, nevermind. Well, I guess we can head back to my house if ya want." It seems I showed up a little too late. Damn. . . Guess I won't find out too much about that crash after all. . . Dæxx laid back to rest his head upon his bag. He decided to sleep for the few hours he had to waste. The airlines wouldn't be up and running for the next 5 hours - give or take. He removed his research book by Professor Evans from his bag and opened it up. These strange events had triggered an idea that maybe Evans was right. Maybe strange and unnatural occurrences are, in fact, possible. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | ---------------------------------------------- As Sleif and Siri continued to walk, a sign started to come within distance. "Is that where we are?" Siri said to Sleif, which caused him to look upon the sign. "Leeds! So we're in England!"Sleif replied to Siri, before the two continued to walk. Within a few minutes, Sleif realised that they were beside a beach, where something must have happened just recently. It appeared that some sort of a plane crash just occurred, and that some people were injured. As both Sleif and Siri got closer, Sleif noticed a young girl was helping a man from the beach, while a lone boy had a book out and was reading. |

| Bad Wolf | OOC: Lol, this feels like when Elizabeth Swan gets taken hostage in the first Pirates of the Caribbean. ![]() IC: Dawn had continued to listen to the voices. They sounded like pirates. Wait, did she just think that they sounded like pirates?! She thought that they were merely legends. In this time, there were no pirates, right? She needed to get out of here and run as far as she could. Well, considering that she knew she was on a boat, she could only run and then dive into the water. So running was definitely an option she couldn't dare take. Then she listened intently about the red eyes. Those red eyes ... those were the same ones that she saw last night and probably the voice belonged to those eyes, too. But the description of her as being "a beauty that radiates through all of England" seemed like an exaggeration so to speak of herself. Then came the footsteps. Was this captain going to kill her? Dawn had no weapon. She couldn't protect herself! Wait, there was one weapon she could use. Even though she wasn't exactly experienced at all, there were her fists. Even though fists would be her last resort. Dawn desperately searched for her phone. Crap! It wasn't here. Damn it! What was she going to do now? She shook her head in disbelief, as she felt her heart thumping harder and harder within each second that the captain took a footstep to make his way towards where she was. Then the lid was lifted. Dawn opened her eyes and looked terrified when the captain saw her. This is where I die, she thought, not even daring to open her mouth yet. Should I start praying now? But he smiled. Not an evil smile, just a pleasant smile perhaps? Well, that was how Dawn interpreted it. She was almost immediately pulled out of the bin and was back on her feet again. She immediately let go of the captain's hand and stepped back a few steps. "Who the hell are you? Where am I?" she shouted, not really caring who these people were. She had questions and needed the answers she seeked. Then she noticed she really WAS on a ship. "What, a ship? Pirate ship? What kind of a bleeding scam is this now?" Her attitude was threatening. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | "Leeds! So we're in England!" Sleif announced. "Leed.... England...." Siri mumbbled to herself, trying to memorize the names for future refrence. The two of them soon came to a beach, now this was the first thing that seemed familiar to Siri, becasue of the fact that there are beaches where she came from. Siri heard something about a plane crash. And soon they saw a young girl that was helping a man from the beach, and another reading a book. Siri didn't care much for this at the moment, this hadd nothing to with her geting back home. "It's to late, it has already started, and you're in the middle of it. Chaos....." A voice spoke out to Siri. Siri looked around, but saw nothing. "Did you here something?" She asked Sleif. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | The crews attention was immediately turned to the screaming girl onboard. Groans and sighs were let out as they noticed this was the so-called great "treasure". They resumed their work ignoring the young lady and whatever the hell she was yelling. Trinitad remained staring at her, but his smile soon faded. He looked at her with a more stern look. More, serious. "Aye ye be on a ship. And aye we be pirates. Down to the depths whatever man goes and curses pirates." he said, almost defensively. He sensed the girl's tone and was slightly offended, but it caused him to let out a slight chuckle. "This be no 'bleeding scam'. You are to be my wife, and ye shall like it. Trinitad be the name of your cap'n, and ye be on my ship, and when ye on my ship, ye must follow me orders. For the Jolly Roger will send any man who curses his cap'n down to the crushing black oblivion of Davy Jones' locker." This brought up a few smiles and small laughs from the crew. Trinitad took a sip of his rum before grabbing the young lady by the arm. "Tre. Lock her in the brigg." He turned to the girl. "This be no fairy tale yer mum used to read to you when ye was a child. Ye be dealing with real pirates, miss, and you shall learn what real pirates do to poor little girls." Tre laughed as he grabbed the girl by her arm and pulled her close to him. But his laugh soon was interupted by another loud and obnoxious sound. Crashing thunder. Lightning appeared a few meters in front of the boat and the crew stared in awe. Had there been a storm there this whole time? And what storm glares at you with bright red eyes? "The......riiiiifftt......The rift is near...." It was no doubt that the whole crew heard the erie voice that spoke those very words. But they hadn't heard it with their ears. They heard it...with their minds? "Cap'n! This be an omen from Davy Jones hisself! 'Tis bad luck to bring a woman onboard!" yelled one crew member. Scattered "Ayes" were heard before one crew member had said, "Send her to the sea! Give ol' Jones what he wants for cursing us so." Grunts were heard as the men started towards the young lady. They would have thrown her overboard, if not for Trinitad stepping in front of her. "None of ye lay a hand on her. She is to be my wife, and we are to give birth to your future cap'n. Anyone who touches her will be accused of mutiny and his throat shall be slit!" Men began to back off until one cry was heard from among the crew. "The cap'n has damned us all!" All eyes turned to the man who had spoken these very words. Trinitad was outraged. He took out his pistol and immediately shot the man to death. "Any other words? Aye. Then ye all shall steer her through this---" Trinitad was cut off as lightning hit the deck a few paces in front of him. The rain began pouring and the ship began swaying and everyone knew that they were done. Everyone knew that the captain did damn them all. The girl was locked in the brigg and the men began to work. Working to keep the mast and sail up and working to keep their asses on the ship. But the rain would not let up. Those eyes and those words would not stop piercing the minds of the men. The winds picked up and hail started to form and the rain fell harder and faster and worse and the men suffered and ached. The storm would not let up. And the girl was safe in her brigg and the captain at the helm with his rum when there wasn't anything for the men who were working the hardest. And then when the storm seemed to be letting up, the Jolly Roger hit a wave, and went sailing into the air, and crashing back down into the sea. This wasn't even possible to half the crew. None of them could believe it. But this was only the beginning. Soon men were being hurled overboard. The captain saw the damage, the planks flying off the ship, the suffering, but he would not let his crew down into the safety of their bunks. But they did anyway, and the rain was so much that the captain couldn't even see 3 feet in front of him. So when the whole crew stopped working and went down to sleep for the night, the captain hadn't noticed, and continue to prevent the inevitable death of everyone. That single hour. That one, small, short, single hour, caused so much destruction. But at the end of that hour, the rain suddenly stopped falling, in its tracks. The eyes faded away, and the men were for the most part still alive. Trinitad sighed and went to his quarters, recollecting those eyes and that voice. This hadn't ever happened before the girl was aboard. (The crew had all forgotten about Clam by now and his 'storm'). Trinitad walked down into the brigg and let the girl out. He grabbed her by her hair and pulled her close, so close she could smell his breath as he whispered to her. "What bleeding omen have you cursed us with!" |

| Bad Wolf | Dawn wasn't happy when Trinitad stopped smiling. She was fearing the worst, but maintaining her positive and hostile attitude. She could only just about manage to understand what he was saying, but it didn't make things better. "Wife? I'm only fifteen years old! I'm not legal" she yelled. When he grabbed her by the arm, she hissed in pain. Why her? Why her, the ordinary girl who was working towards a scholarship? Why did it have to be HER? Dawn looked fearful when he mentioned this was no fairytale. She kept on blinking to make sure that this was real. It WAS real and her hopes of it being a stupid nightmare were immediately erased. Trying not to panic so much, she was grabbed by Tre and then froze when she heard the thunder. Then came the lightning. It was happening again, wasn't it? Dawn was frozen in fear. She heard the voice as well, the same one she had heard both when she was playing netball at home and last night when she was in bed. The voice again was telepathic itself. She could've hit the crew member that said it was bad luck to bring her onboard. She could've said that she wasn't a woman, but a young girl. Then when another one suggested of throwing her into the sea, she would have exploded. But she maintained her calmness and tried to ignore them. When they started going near, she took a few more steps backwards. Just why would I be the one that they'd wanna throw in there? I didn't do anything, she thought in her mind, wondering if she should jump now. It was only when Trinitad jumped to her defence that she felt half relieved, but also pissed off because he called her his "wife". In your dreams, mate, thought Dawn, rolling her eyes. Then watching the crew member die was painful enough. Dawn would have spoken out against this, but dared not to. The pistol that he was holding looked lethal enough as it was. Again, Dawn froze when the lightning started again. She could never quite get over that one little fear ... It felt like some kind of liberation when it rained. However, when the ship started swaying, Dawn held on tight to the side. The weather didn't improve though, as proven by the winds picking up and the rain falling harder. She was down in the brigg not knowing what the hell to do. Maybe she could have tried to escape? Yeah, as if that was possible right now. Dawn wasn't going to stand for any of this. These men were treating her like crap literally and that wasn't the way things went down with her. She was independent. She longed to be free and be reunited with her family. The wave that they hit scared her. Time passed and Dawn realised that she wouldn't be getting out of this situation so easily. "I've never done anything wrong in my life," she muttered under her breath, "so why me? Why am I the one that has to suffer?" Just one bleeding single hour and she could hear the cries of many pirates being hurled off the ship. Well, she didn't really care. Good riddance. But, of course, it wasn't just that to worry about. The captain had come down to the brigg, where she was and demanded to know what was going on. He let her out, but grabbed her by the hair, which did obviously hurt her a whole damn lot. What kind of approach should she have taken here? Hmm, there was the one where she'd have no idea what was going and be tortured. Then again, there was the hard approach and be all powerful as well as threatening. The final option could be a mix of both. Now Dawn really thought she was starting to be clever. She laughed at what he said, despite his dirty breath. "I'd let go of me if you were careful," she whispered back to him in a threatening voice. "I don't know what's been going on or what bleeding omen you're going on about, but ... carry on like this and maybe, just maybe you'll end up the same way as your crew." At this point, Dawn forced a smile. She felt like she had the upper hand. All she could do now was wait and see his reaction. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Trinitad's grip loosened slightly as his face went blank. He stared the girl right in her eye and thought. He sighed as he tightened his grip again. "I promise you, mate. You will be spending a lot of time with me and the rest of this crew. So get comfortable." He let go of her hair and pushed her ahead of him. "There be no way out as ye may see. You be on a ship in the middle of the ocean. How long can you survive swimming? Or even in a long boat. Davy Jones wants you, lass. Avast, we give you food and water, and ye shall live." He looked around and found a dirty mop. He picked it up and handed it to her. "Clean 'er up, miss...apologies, it seems i have yet to learn your name." Trinitad smiled at her. Not like his last smile, but more like a sarcastic smile, even though he was quite serious. "Cap'n..." said a crew member as he came down the stairs. "Methinks you should check on ol' Jolly. She took quite a beating." Trinitad nodded as he followed him up the steps. He turned back to the girl adn tipped his hat. "Miss..." he said as he left. The ship was in bad shape. The storm ripped away planks and boards and many crew members had begun nailing in new ones. The canvas was ripped so a new one was being hoisted up at the moment, and for the time being the oars came out of the sides of the ships, rowing it. The ship had lost 4 of its crewmembers, not including the one Trinitad shot, leaving 6 majorly injured and 3 with minor cuts and bruises. Even at the late hour the pirates were working hard, singing their pirate songs and drinking rum. The injured ones, one of which lost a leg, were down below the deck playing a game of Liar's Dice. Trinitad himself was at the helm as usual, steering the ship through the open seas. Tre was sitting on the staircase to the helm, drinking rum and just relaxing. Sleeping, almost. He had just hauled the dead body of the mutinous crew member overboard, and watched as Davy Jones swallowed him up. Trinitad was consumed with thoughts about the girl below deck. Could she really be the cause of the storm? Does she have unnatural powers like that? How could such beauty cause so much destruction? Who is she? What's her name... Her name...Trinitad really wanted to know. He was dying to know. The rest of the crew could care less. They were more concerned about their captain. First, there was no gold. Now this wasn't Trinitad's fault, but the crew liked to believe so. Second, the storm. They all believed the young crewboy who died telling the captain off. The captain did damn them all. It would be him that sails the ship to The Locker. And the girl's beauty didn't capture the hearts of the men like it did to Trinitad. They were all mostly much older, and none were pedophiles thank god. But Trinitad was captured by it, and he thought back to what she had yelled when he claimed her as his own. 15? Trinitad became captain at 15. And legal? Everything was legal to pirates. The young ladies in the other pirate ports would kill to have children before maturing. But this girl was different, and it was this difference that made Trinitad hate the girl. Yet at the same time, he was intrigued by her. He wanted to know her, spend time with her, he wanted to....he wanted to.... It was then that reality grabbed ahold of him. He was a pirate. Commandeer, rape, pillage, plunder, murder. This is what he stood for, and having the girl as his wife wasn't right in his eyes. What would happen to the legacy of pirates? Why should he care about her at all? He should just throw her into the sea, no? He should slit her throat. Wouldn't that give him pleasure? But it wouldn't. He couldn't. He didn't know... |

| Bad Wolf | That was partly what Dawn had expected. She had expected this pirate to say that she wouldn't be escaping anytime soon. He had have a point, however. Of course she wasn't going to be able to swim in the middle of the ocean after escaping! Even though she considered herself a good swimmer, Dawn knew that she wasn't THAT good. She saw him give her a different kind of smile this time, but she wasn't liking him anymore than she did when she first saw him. When he was out of sight, Dawn tossed the dirty mop aside. She wasn't going to be a maid! This wasn't what she believed in. Already, she knew that her attitude and values were different from these accursed pirates. Then before she knew it, a great anger was consuming her. The anger overwhelmed her, allowed her to lose control. Before she knew it, she was punching at the wall until her knuckles started bleeding. When they started bleeding, Dawn cried. She cried until she slid down the wall and let her tears soak her face. She was, but a prisoner here. It had just been an ordinary day for her when it began. Going out to buy a goddamn Martina Cole book for her mum and now ... THIS. Dawn wished that she had her iPod right now. She wanted to indulge herself into some depressing song and forget the world, perhaps just for a few minutes at least. But no, this was a damn pirate ship. She couldn't run away. She couldn't do nothing. She was restricted to what she knew right now and the things that were happening around her. Dawn stared at the floor not making much movement and then heard that voice again. "The rift is coming ..." This only made things seem somewhat worse. What the HELL was the rift? She needed answers. If these pirates didn't have them, then perhaps this voice did. "What's the rift?" she called out to the voice, rising to her feet and wondering where it came from. But then again, it was telepathic just like last time. "The world was warned two years ago," said the voice, "by the man known as Professor Evans ..." |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Tre woke up with a hangover. He hadn't been sleeping long, but with the amound of rum he drank, he could have closed his eyes for 3 minutes and had a hangover. He woke up to the sound of crying. It was muffled, and the sound of the ocean made it sort of hard to hear, but it was crying alright. And it came from below. A female's cry, no doubt the prisoner was crying herself to sleep. He never cared for the small stuff. He got right up and walked down to the sleeping quarters to join in on a game of Liar's Dice before hitting the sack. He had forgotten the captain's orders to "feed the girl" and after his game, quietly layed down at his hammock and began to sleep. Trinitad, however, assumed this much, as no one gave a rat's ass about the girl mopping up downstairs. But Trinitad did. Why? He didn't know, but he did. He would bring her something to eat. He had to. He got a small piece of bread and a bottle of rum and began to walk to her. Why did he care so much for her health? Is she not like the other prisoners they've had on the ship? She'll soon rot away and die. But there he was standing in front of the girl with tears on her cheeks, blood on her hands, listening. Listening to what? "Eat up," he said as he placed the tray down on the floor. "You must be hungry." He walked back up the stairs without another word. Without a smile. The main deck was beginning to look much better. The new canvas was up and the floorboards were fixed and everything. The crew had all gone to bed as it was very late now. Trinitad was the only one on the deck. Except...the silhouette of a man at the helm. Trinitad slowly ran up to the helm to find that no one was there. But he knew he had seen something. He looked up to the stars above him and tried to find polaris, so he could know exactly where they were, now that the storm died down. He didn't find polaris, but he did find something just as familiar. Two red eyes in the sky. Watching him. Almost waiting...waiting for what? "The rift is coming, the rift is near. You have been warned. Now you must suffer..." |

| Twilight Knight | Taylor sat on her couch, exhausted from her busy day. Stavros sat beside her, staring uncomfortably into space. They had finally made it to her house, which was probably as clean as it would ever be, thanks to her morning cleaning spree after the party. Her stomach growled, and she realized she hadnt eaten all day. She went to stand up, but fatigue clung to her like wet clothes, clawing at her, and dragging her back to the couch. As hungry as she was, she needed to rest a bit. Her head was simming a bit, throbbing and blurring her vision for a moment. The Rift.... The raspy voice seemed to be coming from everywhere, yet from nowhere in particular. She spun her head around, looking out her large, bright window. Some bright pink cosmos were blooming out the window, their garden just starting to take life. She turned back to Stavros, who was still in his haze. "Hey, are you alright?" She asked him, just in case. The sunlight beat down through the window, magnifying its intensity, making her hazey and sleepy. "You can help yourself to anything in the house." She said, gesturing to the rest of the house. She fought the urge to blink alot. She knew the more she blinked, the greater chance she had of keeping her eyes shut, and falling asleep. She stared staright ahead, but eventually, her body's will overpowered her mind, and she closed her eyes. She didnt want to fall asleep in front of Stavros, it was rude and embarassing, but she just couldnt stay awake anymore. She lay her head on a pillow propped up against the couch, and fell asleep almost instantly. She would apologize when she woke up. |

| A beat your chest can seize up to | The rift is coming. . .who was that child? How did he know my name? I thought the rift was only at my school, why did it appear then? Are they. . .following me? It took him five minutes to realize that she had said something, he replied with a simple, "Thanks." She was already asleep by then. She must be as tired as I am. . . He watched her sleep, he hadn't really noticed that he was doing that, but his eyes were drawn to her body. It was. .odd. He watched her chest rise up and lower with every soft breath she took. A strand of her hair moving away from her lips as a breath escaped. He noticed, for the first time, that she was beautiful. Stop thinking that, she just saved your life, be thankful, not lustful. He tried to stop watching her, eventually he managed to, but only to fall asleep. |

| Twilight Knight | Her dream was more of a nightmare, if anything. She was standing on the beach, but that was it...nothing more than an endless beach, surrounding her. The sun was high in the sky, about perfect noon. She looked down and realized she was in her bathing suit, and the towel and umbrella were already set up. She stared out over the ocean, the white crests of the waves mixing with the deep blue of the water. Suddenly, something was falling from the sky...not something, but some one...Stavros! He hit the water with a large splash, sending a fine whisp of white water in the air. "I'm coming!" She yelled out, and dove into the water. As she surfaced for air, she felt the sand beneath her feet. She was back on shore, but how could that be? She looked around again, only to see the city of Leeds in ruins. Fires were smoldering on broken rafters of torn apart buildings...It looked as if a bomb had gone off. This is what the Rift can do... The voice sent shivers down her spine, and goose bumps appeared on her delicate skin. This is only a fraction of its power...too late to stop...the world will learn its lesson... "Stop! Please stop it!" She yelled out to the voice, and she covered her ears in attempt to drown out the rasp. She looked back at the ocean, only to see Stavros, floating on top of the water, and then sinking...drowning. "No! Stop!" She yelled out, and slammed her fist into the sand. She awoke on her couch, beads of sweat dripping down her face. Her breathing was heavy and labored, and she wiped her face with the back of her hand. She looked over to see Stavros, asleep on the other end of the couch, looking kind of peaceful...Kind of handsome too. She thought as she silently moved off the couch, hoping not to disturb him. She made her way to the fridge, and got out a glass filled with lemonade. It was cool and refreshing, and her head was much clearer after she drank the rest of the glass. She sat back down on the couch, and lay her head on her arm. She looked over at Stavros again. His hair was messy, and strewn across his face, but it was very cute. His cheeks were a bit flushed from the heat, giving his face a luminescent glow. And just the overall way he looked when he slept was enchanting her. "I wonder if he had family with him...poor guy." She whispered to herself before closing her eyes again, falling alseep to the scene of his rescue. Last edited by Sora_Rox_My_Sox; 05/15/08 at 05:29 AM. |

| Elegant | While climbing to the top of the pirate ship’s deck, Daiod immediately stopped. “I’ll be a fool to just climb up and get caught by those pirates. It would be best to wait until nightfall when nobody is paying attention. Let’s hope for my sake that I’m not caught before then.” Luckily, many hours later, a storm came about and struck the boat. Many members of the pirate crew brought out extra board panels, nails, and hammers to patch up the damage areas. While doing this, Daiod climbed to the top and poked his head up alittle to see what was going on. A pirate suddenly blurted out "The cap'n has damned us all!" All eyes shifted to the pirate and Daiod made his way below deck and hid himself in an storage room full of corks, corkscrews, and empty rum bottles. “They probably make their own rum or else they are just packrats.” Several hours later, nightfall struck and most of the pirate crew was tucked away in dreamland. Daiod decided to take action and he grabbed a large metal mallet from out of his materials. He also took a handful of corks and one corkscrew and headed to the sleeping quarters. He opened one door to find a pirate sleeping so he use the mallet to shatter the door handle on both sides. Daiod found a pair of keys lying on the table in the room and he decided to take them. He closed the door and rambled through the keys until he found a skeleton key.Daiod locked the door and used the corkscrew to screw in the cork. Daiod repeated the process until he managed to find rooms with empty beds. ”Hmmm, there might still be some guys up fixing the deck or somewhere else. Suddenly, Daiod hears laughter and heads over to a dim lighted room and sees some pirates playing a dice game. most of the room was in darkness while the table where the game was taking place was lighted by an old candle. Daiod crept into the darkness and bonked a pirate on the quickly. It happened really quickly so the other pirates though he must of drunk too much room. Eventually, Daiod successfully knocks out the remaining pirates at the table and throws each of them into empty bedrooms. He shatters the door handles, locks the doors and screws in corks. He hears foots steps and hides in an empty room. Daiod peeks out the door and sees the caption of the ship bring food to the young lady. Daiod though about striking the captain while he was distracted but he noticed that the captain had his gun on him. Daiod did not want to risk his life so he let him pass. After a few minutes, Daiod sees the captain lefting the cell and heading up towards the deck. Daiod sneaks out of the room and heads down to the holding cells. Before make his way to the cell, Daiod notices many storage rooms full of food, weapons, armor, clothing, treasure, etc. He makes it to the cell were the young lady is and tells her while he unlocks the cell "Young lady, l'm here to help you. did those guys hurt you?"
