Gendou was slightly surprised as Lyfe suddenly appeared before him and tossed a bed toward him. As it flew toward him, Gendou simply slashed it, splitting the bed into two pieces that flew past him. He then let the sword rest on the ground and lazily sat his hands on top of them. He simply stared at Lyfe for a moment, a small smile growing on his face.

"Whether or not you are with us is currently irrelevant," Gendou said, his golden eye focusing on Lyfe as his black eye focused on the one on the other side of the passageway. "Not one of you will be let out of here unless D10 is in our hands."

Gendou raised the sword, turning it so that the blade pointed upward. He let go of the sword and quickly grabbed the sword, so that it would now face downward. Once the blade tilted back, eventually pointing down, Gendou rammed the sword into the ground, digging it only a couple of inches into the ground. Once the blade was in the ground, a rush of energy shot into the ground from the sword. On cue, the ground began to shake with the power of a weak earthquake.

"If you stay and fight, you will die," Gendou said, the shaking not effecting him. "Should you attempt to escape, that passageway will become your tome. Give D10 to me and you will be able to walk out of here with your lives."

Tayke's blade pressed against the intruder's neck as he waited for the opportunity to slash right through it. Had the man charged at him, Tayke would have done just that. But he was surprised when he saw the man walking backwards, letting the blade create a small slit on his neck. Blood began to trickle out of it as the man gripped his sword tighter. Tayke could tell from the way his fist turned white. Tayke was ready for an attack, and then ready to take the man's life. Tayke tightened his grip and then...

Lyfe's foot collided with Tayke's chest. The impact made Tayke not only drop his sword, but it sent Tayke flying towards the back wall. Upon hitting the wall, dust and rubble flew down off the wall. Tayke's shoulder started to bleed, and Tayke could only assume he had broken it, though he had no proof of that, aside from the unbearable pain. Tayke almost blacked out for a few seconds. He closed his eyes and clutched his shoulder. He felt like he was spinning. He could hear everyone's words around him.

“We are all going to use the escape route now and I’m not going to hear argument against!” Tayke opened his eyes at the sound of that. He saw the man who had spoken these words. The intruder. He couldn't let them escape. He found the strength to pull himself to his feet. He couldn't get to his sword, and he feared to use his darkness powers. He charged to the intruder and spun him around forcefully by his shoulder, made a fist, and sent the fist forward for the man's face. Tayke was a fairly strong man. He wasn't like Lyfe, with superhuman strength, but he could knock out a guy with a single punch. If his fist collided with Jet, he could might as well be knocked out as well.

"C'mon now, we're needed in the top floors!"
"I tell ya, I don't see how anybody could've gotten in here! I coulda sworn we'd had the place well guarded and everything. Heads are gonna roll man, we're gonna get...."
"...."
"Finally, Hitson shuts up."
"I know man, guy never stops talking."

As many guards continued their journey to the higher levels, one unlucky guard found himself in a death grip from an cloaked assailant. He could only give muffled reactions as he tried to struggle out of the painful grip of what was he though was one of the intruders. He suddenly found that he was bound now, and quickly afterwards gagged. He then found himself staring at the cloaked figure that had taken him. It was too dark in the corridor they were in to see, which made the figure more ominous. It pulled a scythe from its back, holding it to the neck of the guard. The guard could barely make out a mouth coming from the figure.

"On what floor is the commotion coming from. Blink for the floor number, or you shall take an unfortunate bath in your own blood."

The guard blinked four times, shaking nervously as the cloaked man pulled the scythe away and strangely, bowed to the bound up guard.

"Thank you. Hopefully someone shall find you before you starve." He then ran quickly to the main halls, leaving a bewildered guard behind.

Jon cursed at himself again for having slept through the time he was supposed to infiltrate the facility. It was the explosion earlier that had brought him to his senses finally, however, he had no idea where to go in this building. He had only gotten the information out of a very drunk man who'd been in contact with a guard at this facility. He knew that this girl he'd been searching for had to be the one his teacher had told him about, and was not about to lose the chance of coming closer to a better world.

After what seemed like hours of running, he found himself in a lab that was close to, but not the room where D10 was. However, what had drawn him to the room was another subject floating in a tube(F7). Not knowing what D10 looked like, he could only assume that this could be the girl.

"No time to waste." He pulled his scythe quickly from his back, in the same motion making a giant arc with the blade, giving the glass two clean cut that made a sufficient exit for the girl inside to escape from as well as severing her chains. Knowing that the girl inside could hear him now, he put the scythe away as he asked, "Are you D10?"

"Not another one!" a guardsman shouted out of frustration, swearing silently to himself as another guardsman approached him from behind.

"Don't tell me -"

"I'm afraid so. Another subject escaped but this one isn't like the other two!" the first guardsman exclaimed, entering in a few keystrokes and gazed up at the screen that was now filled with data. Subject Z08 were printed across the screen in large, bold font as the template of a young male appeared underneath it.

"Z08? But he shouldn't be too much of a problem, right? He was created for the sole purpose of pursuing D10 if she were to escape so he's pretty much on our side." said the other guardsman who seemed to be a state of relief, thinking that they had nothing to worry about.

"That's what you think. . . take a look at this." said the first guardsman who entered in a few more keystrokes, the screen now displaying the current images of a young male that fit the description of Z08 simply wandering about the lab corridors. However, he dragged two sickles that were attached by a platinum chain along the ground which also left a trail of blood behind. Several guards attempted to stop the subject but were immediately slaughtered by the swift Z08 who swung the sickles about in different variations and directions. After the slaying, the subject continued to walk down the rest of the corridor which left the guardsman watching in utter shock.

"My God. . ." said the other guardsman who became stiff after witnessing the events from the computer screen. "But how could his motives suddenly change?! We made him specifically so that he would obtain D10 and bring her back! Now it just seems like he's on her side!"

"I don't know but we have to proceed with caution. Obviously by the looks of things, he isn't someone we should take lightly even if we were the ones who gave him life. . ."

D10 glared at the general while all the chaos continued around them and she realized the battles around them were nonsense. She dropped the blade as Gracie whispered into her ear and then a few seconds later, her savior stood next to her. He yelled a few things to her and during that time, the ground began to shake violently. She tried to keep her balance while deciding what to do; run or stand up and fight to the people who have controlled her since she was ten. "Are you D10?" She heard a man’s voice say in her head. She glanced around abruptly and lost her balance as she fell back toward the man who saved her life. She collapsed on top of him once again and felt her cheeks up against his. Her cheeks turned red as she looked into his eyes and smiled

“I’m sorry.” Is all she could think of to say as embarrassment started to kick in.

There were numerous amounts of people in the room but she focused on one at that moment but unfortunately for him, she was too stiff. She took her eyes off of him for a few seconds to look up at the exit Gracie created and nodded her head. She realized now that her passion of fighting was gone and she just wanted to leave this place. Her emotions controlled her power along with everyone else’s. For example if there were more people who had a thirst for blood, she would want to kill because of the influence around her. On the contrary, the more peaceful the crowd is, the calmer her powers are. Little did she know, a certain force was spinning inside her and the reason behind the journey that was about to begin would soon be revealed.

“Sasaria…”

Subject Z08 continued to wander about the laboratory corridors, the blood trailing still being made with every step he took. Not to mention he also left behind a numerous amount of casualties behind in search of a certain someone. Whoever it was, Z08 had the feeling that this person was somewhere within the laboratory. After all, they both were experimented on by the same people so obviously there was a high possibility that she was here too.

His chains rattled, the bells that hung at the end of his Jester hat rang when they would bounce from each step he took, his dull black pools that were his eyes simply stared at whatever laid in front of him. There were no words even escaping his lips for that Z08's mouth is covered by a black mussel of some sort. No matter how many times the guards ordered for him to stop, the subject would handle the situation his own way without having to speak which would end up leading to their deaths. Even so, he needed to find this specific person before they did. . . but for what reason still remained a mystery.

"We have to get a hold of this experiment! He still has flaws in him that could spur up at any moment!" said one of the guardsman who followed the other out of the room.

"Yes. . . we do have to capture him as well not to mention D10 but we're going to need a lot of reinforcements just to do it and a lot of fire power as well." he explained. "Go and round of the other guards and meet me back here. But be careful and be sure to stay out of Z08's path."

Gracie watched as D10 collapsed into the arms of her rescuer. Good. Perhaps now she has realized that for the moment fighting is futile. Carefully, but still in a timely manner, she stepped over the fallen bricks that once made up the rear wall. Pulling slightly on her dress so her hem only skimmed the water's surface, Gracie now stood in ankle deep water. The cold and murky water had already begun to seep into her worn leather boots but for now she ignored it. Through all the chaos Gracie had nearly forgotten that D10 only had but her undergarments on. Silently Gracie made a mental note to grab some clothes for her should the opportunity arise.

Waving away her trident so it would return to it's liquefied state, Gracie beckoned the rescuers and rescued to follow her with her newly free hand. She knew the fortress well and during her time exploring had successfully managed to set up secret rooms along the underground passageways that were now no longer used. The rooms had no real purpose but there was one in particular Gracie wanted to visit. It housed all the dresses she had managed to make over the last two years of her imprisonment and it also held the precious items she had managed to grab from home before the government had brought her to the fortress.

The passageway was filled with curvy tunnels and endless turns. If they failed to keep up with she knew that their chances of getting lost would greatly increase. Gracie prayed that all would turn out well and that the others who were on their side would be able to escape.

Jet quickly brought his sword up and held it so that the blade was sideways in order to use it as shield from Tayke’s fist. Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to dodged and counter attack Tayke like wanted to because of the fact that holding onto D10 limited the range of movements he could possible make, shielding himself from it was Jet’s next best option. Though despite the ground shaking underneath him, Jet was relatively able to keep his balance up until the point D10 lost her own and fell on top of him. Jet smirked slightly as he felt the heat from her cheeks, and realized that though unexpected D10 falling on top of he was one of the best ways he could have dodged Tayke’s attack.
“Actually, I sort of owe you one.” Jet said while he moved his arms so that they were in a better position over his jacket that D10 was wearing making it easier for him to wrap his arms around her if he ended up needing to.

Looking at the exit from where they were laying on the ground, Jet realized that it was nearly a straight line to it and quite possibly through it at least for a little bit. But Jet’s chain of thought was quickly broken by something he thought he heard D10 say.
“What do you say?” Jet said as he looked up into D10’s eyes wondering if he had heard her properly and if he actually had where was it she had had learned that name from.
“Never mind it’s not important right now, our first priority right now is getting out of this mess everything else could wait after that.” Jet said out loud sounding as if he was talking to D10, though truthfully he was talking to himself.
“Hold on to me tight alright.” Jet said as he wrapped his arms tightly around his jack and her and brought her body as close as he possible could to his own.

Though Jet had never really tried what he was planning to do when he was in a position like this before, he figured it was possibly one the fastest ways he could make it out of the room with D10 right now. Concentrating energy underneath his feet, Jet suddenly created a large flame underneath them, which as soon as it formed, it propelled the two of them forward like a rocket straight towards the exit in the wall. Unable to really control how far the both of them would end up flying forward and only able to slightly change the direction they were traveling. Jet held on to D10 even tighter as the two of them quickly flew through the exit and past Gracie and continued to fly in deeper into the passageway. Staring forward Jet saw that the path they were taking was coming to a sudden sharp turn as passageway seemed to be curving narrowly. Moving his body slightly so that if he wasn’t able to stop them in time before they ended up flying into the wall, Jet tried to position himself so that he would be the one to take the brunt of the impact. But luckily Jet was able to distinguish the flame underneath his feet that was boosting them just soon enough so that the two of them didn’t end up flying into the wall deep inside the passageway, and instead stop somewhat gracefully in front of it so that Jet was now leaning his back against the wall.

“So are you alright?” Jet asked as he loosened the tight grip he had around D10 and looked at her while he sat down of the damp floor of the passage.

His expression was priceless when she ended up on top of him and she just smiled as he said that he owed her one. D10 thought to herself, knowing one day she would need a favor from him and she would use that excuse. She looked back at all the commotion in the room and then back at her savior who was about to try get them out of her prison. “Hold on to me tight alright.” She heard him say and she did as he commanded while resting her head on his chest. His grasp around her was unbreakable it seemed as a fire protruded beneath his feet and they went flying into the escape hole.

Wanting to learn this ability, she looked down toward his feet and then listened to the power that flowed through his body. She tried to make sense of how he was able to summon the fire and control it but it was nearly impossible to do. When she looked up, she saw the sharp turn in the route and she quickly looked away, hoping he would be able to change the way they were going. Suddenly they stopped slowly and she ended up face to face with him. She stepped back as he sat down on the ground and she looked around the tunnel. Her face was glowing with happiness as she realized she was free, at least alittle.

Kneeling down in front of him, she stared at him with her green eyes and smiled. “My name is Sasaria. You never told me yours.”

She tugged on the jacket while feeling a little embarrassed about the situation. “S-So how did you get this lousy mission of saving me? I mean, why is everyone back there after me?” She asked him, confused about her own price and was hoping he had some answers.

A faint smile came across Jet’s face after he saw D10’s facial expression and that’s he needed to see to knew she was still fine. Looking past her he stared down the path they had flown through as he tried to figure out exactly how far it was they had traveled. He figured it must have been quite a distance as he couldn’t even see any sign of the entrance to the passage from where they were currently. Jet then quickly looked back at D10 as she started talking to him and attempted to properly introduce herself. Staring at her skeptically for a brief few seconds after she told him her name, Jet realized that what he had thought he heard say back in the room a few moments ago was exactly what he had thought it was.

She better not be messing with me. Jet thought to himself before realizing there could be no way Sasaria knew the history he had with that name, and it was probably nothing but a mere coincidence that she happen to have that name.
“We really didn’t have much time for introduction earlier when we first met.” He said as he picked himself of off the ground and brushed himself off. Staring down the corner he saw that it led to a fork path and let out a sigh as he figured that at least one of the two paths lead to a dead end, if not both.
“Oh and I’m sorry for not mentioning it earlier but my name is Jet.” Jet said looking back at Sasaria as he moved the black leather sword holster he had on his chest down to his waist and shifted it so that he could place his sword into the holster by his left leg. Picking up his sword off from the ground he placed it back into his holster before starting to move his chain whip down to his waist as well so that everything would be a bit more comfortable.

“I think it’s best if we start walking and talking, as I’m sure those government lapdogs back in the room have already started to make their way towards us.” Jet said knowing that he probably didn’t have all the answers Sasaria was looking for but he could at least tell her what he knew and overheard.
“Considering how dirty it is in here, I figure its best you let me do the walking for the both of us.” Jet said as he looked down at Sasaria’s feet and knew walking around a place like this barefooted wasn’t probably the brightest idea.
“So hop on and let's get a move on it.” Jet said as he turned his back to Sasaria and crouched down in front of her, hoping that she would be willing to do what he asked.

Tayke's hand hit the sword with a loud clang. It hurt him. His shoulder still killed and he was losing blood fast. He looked up at the man and the girl in his arms. Tayke looked back down at his fist that hit the sword. Tayke fell to his knees. He lost. It was over. The man looked at the girl. “Hold on to me tight alright.” And at that, flames started shooting out of the man's feet. They were gone. Captain Tayke Ritt of the Royal Army had lost. He had let an intruder, and more importantly, a woman, D10, escape. His position would be compromised. He couldn't let that happen. He wouldn't!

Tayke looked up, determination stretched across his face. "Gendou..." he said, turning to him, "This isn't over just yet. You and I will find her!" Tayke got up slowly and walked across the floor to his sword. He picked it up and looked at the blade where the intruder's blood had stained it. The girl had said something to him, just before they left. Tayke kept replaying it in his mind. He smiled. Captain Tayke Ritt had an idea."

"Sasaria..."

Left behind in the wake of the rescuer, Gracie put what energy she had into catching up. She wanted to help but she didn't really understand why. What was propelling her to follow after them and offer them what services she could? Was it so she too could be free? Gracie shook her head. There was more to it but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

The light streaming in from her bedroom had now vanished and the tunnel grew darker and darker. Out stretching her arm, Gracie felt along the ice cold walls until her eyes were able to adjust. She figured the two hadn't gone far but then again she never knew what abilities the two possessed. Perhaps they were successfully making their way through the tunnels. Gracie frowned, the idea of being completely useless setting in.

Why does it bother me so much? Before all this I barely knew the girl. So why do I want to help her? There has got to be an answer for all these emotions.

Before continuing onward she heard the faint voice of a man and a woman. She strained to listen.
"“So hop on and let's get a move on it.”
It was them. D10 and her rescuer. Softly, Gracie whispered in the distance.

"Please wait. It's me; the woman you fell in on not to long ago." Gracie feared they wouldn't allow to continue onwards with them. If that was the case, she would simply go her own way and face the punishment that possibly waited for her in the future. "You may need some help navigating these tunnels. I would be more than willing to help." Even though the chances of them seeing her were slim, Gracie bowed showing them both respect and manners. She was grateful for whatever they offered.

Gendou pulled the tip of the sword out from the floor. Due to the amount of the blade that was stuck in, the shaking came to an immediate stop. With his armor being somewhat of a weight, Gendou wouldn't be able to keep up. Not to mention Gendou did not know the layout of the pathway. But, what he did know is that they will have to leave the fortress eventually.

"Gendou... This isn't over just yet. You and I will find her!"

"Tayke," Gendou said, his golden eye focused on him. "Gather a small force and go in after them. You do not need to necessarily find them, just flush the out of the fortress. Once their feet touch the ground, they will be mine." With that, Gendou turned and left the small area where they were fighting.

Gendou soon found himself in a hallway on about the 3rd floor. After looking around for a moment, he found a stairway down to the first floor. Aside from the still blaring siren, Gendou's footsteps was all he could hear. After a quick decent, Gendou walked to a sealed door that seemed it would normally be used as an entrance. Gendou rammed his sword into the center of the door and pried it open. After moving the remains of the door aside, sunlight blinded Gendou and warmed his skin. After waiting a couple of seconds for his pupils to dilate, Gendou noticed the sky. Large, black clouds were coming in from the north, most likely bringing a storm with it. Gendou slightly smiled as he walked a few yards away from the entrance and turned around, facing it. He let the tip of the blade rest on the ground and lazily sat his hands on top of the hilt. Gendou waited, like a cat waits for mice, for the group to leave the fortress.

Sasaria listened to Jet introduce himself and then look around the tunnels for any sign of followers. She could sense someone following them but then she heard a voice in the distance. Jet took it upon himself to demand that they begin to move ahead since he knew the government would come for them so she agreed. Looking down at her feet covered in sewer water, she watched Jet crouch down in front of her and offer her a piggyback ride. Hesitant at first, she stepped back and then realized she didn’t want to walk in this sludge. Walking up close to him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and then climbed up on him until he had his grip in her. She smiled as she peeked over his shoulder and laughed.

“Thank you…” She giggled as her hair tickled his neck and she looked beyond the darkness of the tunnel.

A few minutes later Gracie appeared from the darkness and bowed down in front of them. Sasaria tried to understand the reason behind bowing but she had never seen kindness before in her life, except for Jet and Gracie. She felt a little embarrassed being held by Jet and Gracie was walking like she should be. Resting her head on Jet’s shoulder, she scanned Gracie and began to fell calmness about her.

“There is no need to bow.” She said shyly and smiled. “So why are you so worried about us?”

OOC: Phew, you guys post fast. I haven't got much access at the moment during the weekend, but I can post now at last.

IC: Being in the tube had a strange, but significant impact on Faith. She fought hard to remember who she was and why she was here. But it seemed that the more time she spent at this facility, in this particular lab, the more that she would suffer from mild amnesia and forget who she really was. The scientist and his assistant, whom both had been watching her, had left for the time being and allowed her to drown in her own misery and torture. I have to remember who I am, she thought. I can't forget who I am! But the drugs that she had been given had their side effects, of course, and the mild amnesia had been a result of that. Faith wanted to cry, but couldn't. As the drugs slowly kicked in, she slowly blacked out and entered a dark coma that lasted for several hours. It was only hours later that she heard riots going on. As soon as she opened her eyes, there was a man standing there with a scythe on his back.

She looked confused and almost screamed when he slashed the glass and it shattered into pieces. Faith felt the small drop to the floor and coughed when the water had gone on the floor and the oxygen mask slipped off the lower part of her face. She kept on coughing, even when the mysterious man asked if she was someone called D10. Faith looked at him confused when she could finally breathe. She didn't reply at first, but heard his thoughts in his mind: I have to find D10. Her body started shaking, mainly out of fear. At least the scythe was away, anyway, but it didn't lessen the fear that was coursing throughout her entire soul. "I ..." she began to say, but couldn't find the words to speak. "I ... don't know.
