Lance walked out of his room in the headquarters and took the stairs to the right which lead to Wolf's office. He hated taking the elevator, just standing there in a box as it went up and down. While he was walking up the stairs, he decided to test out his body. He ran up the walls through the flight of stairs as his suit began to blend in with his surroundings. After a few minutes he came to the end and walked down the hallway.

Lance finally made it to Wolf's office. He knocked and opened the door to find that a reaper and the 2nd in command were there. "Wolf Sir, i apologize for being late..." said Lance. Lance took the last empty seat and looked at the television. "Is this the final round for the competition?" asked Lance, "You must be lonely Wolf... bringing us here to watch alongside with you" Lance joked.

The way that Talsyn held onto him tightly made Embrace very happy. He hadn’t ever been close to her like this before, other than in heated training situations, and that was not the same. Then it had been as if she wanted to kill him. This feeling was so much more comforting, and he loved every second of it, almost as much as he loved her. Embrace was now wondering if Talsyn understood this, or not. The air was very quiet, as Embrace’s wings were not exactly of the physical nature; they made no sound as they beat through the air. The only noise that was generated at all was a bit of a humming noise from particles in the air passing through them. He smiled, as Talsyn moved a bit. He sped up, making fast pace to their location.

He sighed, and then turned left, as they neared a mountain range that was closing in fast. "It's so quiet up here," Her voice was very calm in tone, like she was drifting away on bliss.

"Other than your wings. You can't hear the city, or the wind." He felt something of a connection growing between the two. He was trying to make sure that his evolution did not affect her life force, because such a connection would be something she would feel instantly, and if anything, Embrace wanted that kind of thing to be natural. "... so where are we going, Donteli?"

The two of them were right where he wanted to be. He didn’t’ want to scare Talsyn, so instead of dropping her to rid the area of the cloaking that was over it, he instead, turned upside down, and dived towards the ground through the fog in place. His feet touched the ground, and he sighed, letting go of Talsyn, even though he didn’t want to. His hands glowed slightly, and then a flash of blue substance emitted from his left hand, bursting up into the mist that cloaked the visibility of the area. His other hand guided the energy he released around, disturbing thje properties of what was inside the foggy mist, finally revealing the area around them.

“Here we are Talsyn……”

Embrace carefully lowered both himself and Talsyn to the ground, before almost reluctantly allowing her to stand alone. As he busied himself, she took a few cautious steps around, attempting to peer through the choking mist. Never before had she seen mist as thick as this; it rose up over unknown forms, swirled about her feet, masking whatever was upon this landscape. Rubbing her arms for warmth, she looked back to Donteli, turning her body to face him as he sent a sudden blue flash up into the mists, before using his hands to manipulate its movement from a distance. It was impressive. Talsyn could never hope to achieve an evolution like that one, not even if she had an eternity to try.

Thanks to his skill, the mists were slowly clearing, as if revealing the secret of this location to the two standing there. Talsyn turned from Donteli, watching as the mists rushed up from the ground, revealing a shoreline, and trembling waves, glimmering in the moonlight. Yet, it seemed so bright. Eyes hitting the sky, Talsyn saw the moon, and stars, so much closer than they had ever seen before. This place was beautiful, almost a secret, hidden gem upon a broken, dreary landscape, just waiting for the right person - or in this case, people - to discover it.

“Here we are Talsyn……”

A smile broke into her face. Talsyn turned to him, hands held before herself, giving him a nod.

"It's so beautiful," she smiled at him, her voice somewhat hushed. For some reason it did not seem right to speak loudly here. Even odder was her feeling that nothing more needed to be said; this sensation came half from her awe at this place, and half from her apparent lack of articulate speech. "I... I don't know what to say, Donteli."

The girl felt unnerved, almost to the point of anxiety. Emotions flitted within her stomach, rising up into her chest before being quelled by the deepening breaths she gasped. Something was feeling different, and it was becoming difficult to understand just what these feelings were telling her. Her feet took a step closer to him.

She looked at the man with a beam, scratching her neck nervously. Her chest was fluttering now, heart buzzing, almost feeling as though it were about to burst from her body.

There had always been an inkling, but now she was sure, her head and her heart whispering the same things to her.

Embraced finished up, revealing the water scape setting that they were in. He had flown Talsyn and himself to the Brand Mountains, which were only a few miles from the city. Actually they were only about a mile and a half away. It was just the height embrace had flown up to reach the spot they were at. Unlike normal places, it didn’t get colder up here. The mist negated the air pressure and also generated a source of heat, but with many times of exploration there was a high possibility that Embrace was generating the atmosphere there with his evolution reacting to the environment.

Talsyn was looking around. It looked like a mix between disbelief and awe, and possibly wonders all at the same time. She was quieter than anything else, so Embrace tried to lighten the mood if that was the problem by whistling a high pitched tune. "I... I don't know what to say, Donteli." She didn’t have to say anything, but he did like to hear her voice in this quiet environment. It felt like things were heating up so to speak, and even though Talsyn was silent, she moved closer to Donteli, and he turned with her to look at the lake and the water that frothed on the shoreline.

There were meeping noises not long after, and from the edge of the water, and around the lake, small creatures that looked like cats, rabbits and squirrels in one animal moved towards them. “Oh, I love these things. The call works every time.” The animals moved closer, observing both Embrace and Talsyn. They had dull pink fur, but in the vivid light from the moon it almost looked red. As the small group of the animals kept coming closer, Embrace resumed talking.

“Snurdles. At least that is what I call them anyway. They don’t seem to mind. You know Talsyn I have wanted to say this for so lon…..”

“Meep!!!! Meeep!!!” Embrace got cut off by one of the snurdles randomly tripping over another snurdle and crying for help to be picked up. It had landed right at Talsyn’s feet.

Embrace looked a bit confused. He had lost his train of thought. He laughed………
“I love you Talsyn.”, but at the same time, a bit louder than him, the creature made another noise.

“MEEEP!!!!!”

The kid scratched his head as his commander spirited response. In truth, the lower ranks, civilians, and staff running around the building were fairly in to the stiff collar area. Though Svether could age, he preferred keeping a child-like appearance for the sake of keeping a muse of his immaturity. Even though he was young by face, his age is beyond measure as per him being alive. Once more, he smiled as his leading officer was quite glad to see him, and really, he didn't mind taking the time to check up on his condition. Walking the area was bit dry and boring.

"Problems with the elevator?"

A slight spasm, as he blushed and puffed his cheeks from the thought of it.

"If you ask me, they should make it vertically accessible for all heights." There was comedic tendencies behind his statement.

A slight moment later, another had entered as Svether with some childish tendencies began to spin around in the chair. Being directed by his commander to take a seat, he suddenly stopped spinning about and gave him a good look. A simple squint of the eyes, he peered forward as his pressing disposition. His eyes were those of a strong-willed deviant similar to Svether's when he assumes his adult form. That kind of display should only be shown to the enemy...he'd understand it sooner or later.

'Oh man. This guy's another stiff shirt!'

"If I may interrupt. I personally think of Rayden as nigh unstoppable force. He's mixed with what is thought to be the mind and toy with it, but I'm not as well informed on his precise skills. To be certain he's one heavy hitter in certain fields."

He would've continued, if not for the opening of the elevator distracting him and loosing his train of thought. Behind him, he spun the chair around, the second reaper had entered. Filling the third and final chair in front of the commander's desk. He made a quick joke, though Svether did not quite understand, it may have been his staring at the reaper's armor that distracted him.

'Wow, I should pay more attention.'

Talsyn's eyes widened at the creatures, prompting her to step back slightly as the little beings approached, waddling closer, their odd, pink forms swarming around the pair all of a sudden. Donteli seemed amused by them, and continued his speech.

“Oh, I love these things. The call works every time. Snurdles. At least that is what I call them anyway. They don’t seem to mind. You know Talsyn I have wanted to say this for so lon…..”

“Meep!!!! Meeep!!!”

The girl's bemused curiosity was deepened as the little animal interrupted Donteli with its incessant meeping. It was an irritating noise, as far as she was concerned - it was annoying enough on its own, but interrupting the man mid-sentence... that was worse. They were adorable, true, but she didn't care for animals much.

The pathetic meeping didn't stop, it simply increased in pitch, and volume. Looking to her feet, Talsyn blinked at the helpless thing, before crouching down above it to take a look. The poor little creature was on its back. Cupping her hands around it, she replaced it back on its feet once more before looking to Donteli, and his slightly bewildered expression. He then continued, only to have his words replied to by one of the louder little animals.

“I love you Talsyn.”

“MEEEP!!!!!”

For a moment, everything within her seemed to... stop. The soft rising and falling of her chest ceased, her heart skipping beat after beat, her gaze frozen into a stare. The functions returned after a moment, her eyes slowly blinking as if letting him know she had finally comprehended what he had said. True, she had suspected something all night - from him, as well as from herself, but that was to be considered - but hearing it from his own lips was another thing entirely. Biting her lip, she attempted to stifle her smile, but her efforts were, for the majority, useless. Her smile escaped, though a little dampened, and an awkward laugh trembled from her, quiet, and unsure, expressing how she felt. She stopped herself. Though she knew in herself she was not laughing at him, she were afraid that he might perceive her to be doing such a thing.

"Donteli..." she said, filling the now silent air with whispered words, "I..."

She silently cursed herself for being so poor with emotion. So much time had been spent quelling the emotion within her to focus upon work, to make her forget about the events of the past. If she were honest, she thought that she had merely admired Donteli as a leader, a friend at the most, rather than anything more - even less observant, she had believed Donteli to have only noticed her as a colleague, a fellow Soldier of Life. She smirked to herself. That just proved how poor she was at comprehending emotion. Talsyn had never noticed her own attraction to him, let alone his attraction to her.

He needed a response. She knew her response, but inarticulacy and nerves held her back. Silently, she wondered why she was so stupid. She was not a nervous, shy woman. She had charged into battle upon many occasions, stood up to others - even men - alone, able to take on the world if that had ever been the case. Others always commented upon how brave she was. Talsyn suspected they'd say the same should they ever hear of her past. Which they wouldn't. No-one would.

... her mind was wandering, procrastinating, leaving Donteli in cruel silence. Guilt rippled within her for a moment - almost forcing the words out of her mouth.

"I love you, too."

Embrace was trying to think, but the snurdles meeping was getting louder. This coming from them was usually a reactive warning. They sensed practically everything in existence. The snurdles weren’t your ordinary creature, so Embrace made sure to pay attention, him being interrupted was like a notion of agreement from the snurdle, but he hoped that Talsyn heard what he said over the loud animal’s noise. “Umm”, he looked over at Talsyn who was a bit stiff.

She was just staring at him. Her body wasn’t moving other than her chest due to breathing. He was just about to see if something had happened to her, but slowly she seemed to appear normal again, her mouth trailing with a soft whisper. “Donteli.” He turned to her, after noticing that all of eh snurdles had ceased making noise, and were crowding around the two.

“Yes Talsyn??” There was a pause from her. It could have been long, it might have been really short, but Embrace was completely consumed by what she was trying to say that he didn’t really notice the time frame.

It was killing him. She muttered the word “I”, but then she just stood there saying nothing at all. Embrace sat on the ground, his heart feeling torn. He was being rejected by her. He kind of expected it, most people just wanted him to do things for them, and never really loved him or anything about him at all. This was no different, Talsyn was just figuring out what to say to him, to let him done softly without hurting his feelings to bad, but it was too late for that…….

“I love you too.” Embrace fell over, onto one of the snurldes which caused another ‘meep’. He stood up and looked into Talsyn’s eyes. He just took a hold of her hands and held her tightly.

Talsyn almost burst out laughing at Donteli as he toppled over upon the snurdle. It meeped loudly, and as he rose once more, scurried off along the shoreline. A few others followed it. Talsyn wondered why he was so surprised, at first, but soon remembered that she had never really given him the impression that she liked him at all. The impression she tended to give - to everyone, regardless of how much she admired them - was one of stoicism, cold, and unfriendly. She had been acting so differently tonight, she was surprised he had not seemed so shocked earlier.

The man took her hands, his grip firm, before he held her. His touch was warm in the cold air. Talsyn embraced him awkwardly, arms about his shoulders, face buried within his chest. She had never been this close to anyone, ever before. Never in a way such as this one.

Talsyn smiled.

"Is this right?" she asked him softly, easing herself to look up at him, "I mean, with the Soldiers of Life, and everything. What would the others think?"

Lurking.

The ecto-sapien taking a stroll through a territory deactivating the feeds of his bands while maintaining human form. He was intrigued, and rubbed his palm feeling this clearing of spectral energy of a different sense about him. From the ground within a mountain he'd emerged, doing most of his long range recon underground he'd removed and 'jumped' to this spot. This mist was a signature similar yet dissimilar to his own...it was odd.

"Who'd of thought...a place like this actually...existed..." Trophorus spoke a quietly as possible.

Flipping up his dark green hood, the mood was intoxicatingly tranquil and he was but a mere man of honor and a wanderer. Rubbing his cheek, his mind reminisced on the mark of his past. He didn't take pride in being used in the fashions to assist something that would replace him. Folding his arms, he activated both of his wrist braces, and changed the settings so the shocks wouldn't kill him but let out a small amount of his spectral signature so minuscule, it was about that of an ant mound.

'Inviso-bill! Hahaha, what an absurd nickname...'

He walked unseen though hearing a loud 'MEEP' wasn't pleasing to his ears. He'd had some form of enhanced physical points, but using invisibility while in human form didn't do much for him. He removed his spectral signature for a split second, rapidly taking it closer to the noise by ultra high-speed movement or teleportation. He stood in a tree, his face pulsed in surprise to see two down below in the proverbial middle of nowhere. Luckily still invisible, he'd not bother them, but simply watch out of curiosity, as he phased into the tree with his head sticking out invisibly watching.

"The people are truly...well, I'll just....watch I suppose...."

Rena stood within the training room, sweating his ass off. He wore a skin tight full body red training outfit. Blood was along the walls and four robots were broken up along the walls and ground. His breathing was heavy and blood swirled around him. "I am so freakin bored. I need a real fight soon." Rena said as he walked out the room. Alot of things have happened lately, but it didn't bother him. Recently he heard his mother and father had been getting along and his father was trying to get off the drugs. Walkign down the hall, Rena could only think about his best friends, Talsyn, and Embrace. He would die for them and that was fact.

Kurai felt the hand on his shoulder, and almsot felt a need to hack it off, but supressed it. He looked from Svether to Wolf again and listened to the announcement of the fight. With almost half of JTD's money on the competitor, the man would be best to win the fight, otherwise his welcome back would more then likely be met with a blade. Kurai listened to Svether's inquisition of the man's abilities and considered this. Then his head lifted, his mouth opening slowly as he spoke for the first teim since being here.

"If I was to make a assumption, based on what's been said, we have nothing to worry about. The only issue is his opposition, and whether or not they're a match enough to face him. We know our fighter's skills, not the other's."

Kurai was reserved with this fight, but seeing someone else fight wasn't all too bad. As they waited, he flexed his left hand lightly, a small twinge in it as always. He knew what it meant, but he could resist, for the time.

“I don’t care what they think. This is an honesty is nobody’s business but ours. The faction is another matter. I love you, and I love my faction and those in it as well.” He thought of what else to say. Embrace’s mind was a bit free at that point in time. “I mean it is awkward. My love for you is so deep, that I feel that our lives are literally connected. Right now if you were to die, I would give up my life force wherever you were to bring you back. I love you so much Talsyn, and it feels so great to say that.” Embrace leaned in and kissed her cheek, wiping a tear from his eye.

The snurdles meeping suddenly got extremely loud, and something was wrong with Embrace’s life force field that extended from him in every direction. It was been interrupted. The snurdles looked around, and then gathered together, floating up into the air, moving their bodies around until the group looked like an arrow of some sort. It was pointed directly at a tree.

Embrace did not even bother to look closer, or take the time to ask any questions. He just sucked all the life out of the tree, causing it to partially crumble and die. If there was another life form in the tree, it would begin to feel it’s life being drained, and would need to resists the effects from embrace which on most occasions made using other abilities defunct as such a grasp on output was enormous.

His eyes sparked in ripple disorder.

Falling like a rock from his spot, his ectoplasmic signature had been dissipating at an alarming rate. He wasn't even transformed, it was like feeling the sting of his bracelets while active and transformed. He needed to take measure to mask his presence in which he'd need to completely erase his presence. Yet this without killing himself would be quickly would be increasingly difficult. So he hit the ground flopped on his back like a dead fish. A white ring, zipped over his body, and he'd come out of his invisible form instinctively remaining human.

'what the hell....was that?'

“Show yourself…..”

He said nothing, and just lied there playing possum. 'This asshole took another life without thinking, who in their goddamn mind is that irrational?? But thats too cruel...' He contemplated the thought just a little bit and figured he wasn't the one that was drastic. It wasn't his style to give way, but being sheik was his tendency and that wasn't going to keep him from being discreet. So his motioned inching his muscles beginning to pick himself up and brushing off the dust.

"If thats how you treat strangers, I'd hate to see how you treat your enemies. In regards to my intrusion...whats up?"

He wasn't the least bit serious, he had no reason to be.

Donteli was so heartfelt. It was odd to think that the brave, strong man at the head of an organised, alert force could have such an affectionate side. His words were so kind, so truly meant, each one of them significant. She smiled at him, feeling somewhat inadequate that she wasn't quite so forward with words, or emotions, no matter how strong they felt within. It still felt hard to explain, yet the words flowed freely from his lips as though spilling his heart was easy for him.

Leaning in, he left a kiss upon her cheek, prompting a quick pink blush from her. She smirked, and might have reciprocated, were it not for the interruption of those infernal creatures meeping shrilly at some unknown cause.

Donteli immediately reacted - as did the snurdles - in a way Talsyn was unsure she understood fully. She simply watched, rather awestruck as he removed the life from a nearby tree, its branches slowly and surely curling up, and dying, becoming a crumbling, black form.

“Show yourself…..”

Talsyn blinked. She might have felt afraid were she not so sure Donteli and she could handle themselves. Curiosity was more the tone of her demeanour at that moment in time, along with a slight irritation that they had been interrupted. No matter. There would be plenty of time later.

"If thats how you treat strangers, I'd hate to see how you treat your enemies. In regards to my intrusion...whats up?"

The figure rose by the tree. Talsyn eyed him, interested to see where this might lead. She was armed should things turn nasty. Not that she'd be particularly needed - Donteli was fine working alone, it seemed.

Wolf chuckled at Lance's little joke, a sense of humor was one of Wolf's favorite traits in his followers. "Haha, if that was true I would have everyone meet me down here daily to chat." he joked. "No, today fate has just so happened to correspond with my plans. After this fight, I have some important business I would like to discuss." Wolf said, directing his attention to the two reapers. "But that can wait, this isn't something I want to miss." he said, redirecting his thoughts to the fight.

Wolf listened to Svether and Hiten's comments about the fight, and chuckled once again to himself. "May I ask you all a question?" Wolf asked, getting off his desk and standing in front of the three of them. "What do you know of Mr. Rayden's Evolution?" he asked, walking towards his refrigerator and grabbing a water. Remnants of alcoholic beverages could yet be seen, and the sight of them almost made Wolf keel over in memory.

Rayden entered the fight room, and was overwhelmed by a wave of sound and energy. The room was very old fashioned, the floors, walls, and furniture were all made of wood (or, an imitation of wood). Neon Wave signs were hung about everywhere, depicting the bar's name at every point of sight. The people ranged from business class gentlemen in suits, to disgusting looking gentlemen wearing denim. Even if he couldn't feel their emotions and thoughts, Rayden could easily figure what they were all thinking. "Tonight's the night, and my man will win for sure." Whether their money was on Rayden or the other man, they would be thinking the same thing. In the middle of the bar, everything had been cleared out for the fight, and replaced with a large circular arena. The rules were painfully simple, either you get knocked out of the ring or you pass out. In Rayden's past fights, he had purposely fallen out of the arena, or "accidentally" knocked the other fight out. Tonight, no such thing would happen. This fight would end in less the a minute, and it would be unmistakably obvious who the superior fighter was.

Rayden eyed the man he was fighting tonight, Kenny "Leopard" Arson. He was a large man, although not nearly as colossal as Lord Wolf. He wore a pair of jeans, a white tank-top littered with orange spots, and a grin of his face that portrayed his inner confidence. He had won all of his fights easily, K.Os within 5 minuets of the start. No one had thought otherwise, he HAD won the last three tournaments. Rayden jumped onto the stage, his hands in his pockets. Kenny noticed his arrival, and put on his "modest" face. Rayden could feel pity simmering on the back of the man's mind, he obviously felt bad. "Hiya kid, good luck in today's fight!" he said, reaching a hand out towards Rayden. Rayden sighed, and walked past Kenny to the starting point. "At least he pretends to be a nice guy" Rayden thought, feeling the prideful and mocking thoughts that truly inhabited this man's mind. Kenny ignored this lack of sportsmanship, he just assumed the kid was scared out of his mind. He joined Rayden at the center of the circle, and a referee met them there. He was a short man, perhaps only 5'3, who had an odd mustache that fit his red and blue shirt somehow. "Are both participants ready?" he asked, his moustache twitching slightly. Kenny smiled. "Of course, let's go!" the ref turned to Rayden. "And you?" Rayden unzipped his hoodie, and pushed his sunglasses to the roof of his nose. "Yeah, whatever." he responded. "oh-okay then... uh... fight!"
