As Sleif watched the fight between Alex and Naruma start to unfold, he was brought back to attention as Alex was thrown onto the ground.

"Temper, Temper!"Sleif heard Naruma say, before he could react, Sleif had his own sword drawn, and pointed it at Alex. "I'm afraid I can't let you continue, Alex!" Sleif said as he pointed the sword at Alexs head..

As Sonara got closer, Naruma stood still. Then just as she started her combo, He moved sideways slightly, Her blade crashed into the ground, she ripped it sideways. and he jumped landing on the blunt end of her sword, overbalancing her, and causing her to fall. He pushed her sword into the ground. There it stuck not moving, immobile. "Shame.. I thought you'd offer more of a challenge than that." He drew his own sword and pointed it at her throat. He looked at Alex. "What? Not going to help her? Maybe she isn't that important enough to you. She probably is a waste of flesh after all. Your not important enough to keep alive any longer. You can die now." He stabbed downwards at her heart with the point of his sword.

Sleif continued to keep Alex in place, as he listened to Naruma taking with Sonara. "Shame.. I thought you'd offer more of a challenge than that." he said as he withdrew his sword, and pointed it at her neck, before turning towards Alex.

"What? Not going to help her? Maybe she isn't that important enough to you. She probably is a waste of flesh after all. Your not important enough to keep alive any longer. You can die now." at that, he raised his sword, before striking it down towards her heart.

Raising his hand at them, Sleif somehow felt different. At the exact moment that Naruma brought down his sword and Sleif raised his hand, an extremely large sword appeared almost from nowhere, blocking Narumas descent instantly.
A look of slight surprise appeared on Sleifs face as he stared at the huge form of Dark Yojimbo.

He stared as Sleif held a sword to his neck. He gripped his hands tightly, his hand shook violently, and proceeded to form a different fiend's skin. A hard armour. It spread through his arm and up to his mouth, hiding the right side of his mouth. Blood appeared around his eyes.

Sleif did something. And a being appeared out of nowhere, saving Sonara from death.
"Aeon..." he muttered, suprised to hear it in his common language.

(( Goddamn it , I'm pissed off... I have just lost everyfile on comp; WoW, music... etc etc... >.> )

"Slief!" Naruma's voice echoed across the arena. He stared at the vile creature. "Fine. Have it your way." A sideswipe slash went though the middle of Yojimbo... The creature burst into pyreflies. "Slief, I know this is your doing. Spit it out!" Just as Naruma had finished this sentence. A burst of light broke the darkness of the arena. A figure covered in black emerged from the light. He removed the hood covering his face. Shuyin. His blonde hair baring striking resemblance to Tidus'.

"Naruma... don't get carried away. Unlike the rest of them. Don't revert to fighting like this filth." He pointed at Alex. Shuyin turned and looked at Sonara laying on the ground. "You like this woman eh Naruma?"
"No, I have no interest in this scum." He said with a serene smile.
"Let us go then. Naruma." Said Shuyin
"Shall we bring the girl with us... for insurance?" asked Naruma
"Do whatever you want... as long as he follows us it doesn't matter," said Shuyin
He turned to Sonara. "Sleep." waving his hand over the girls head. Before picking her up and slinging her over his shoulder.
"Until we meet again.....Farewell." said Naruma. There was a explosion of darkness and the three people disappeared.

"Aeon.." Sleif heard Alex mumble, as he watched in surprise the form of Dark Yojimbo. "So that's what the gift was!" Sleif though, before he lowered his hand.
"Slief! Fine. Have it your way." Naruma said before he sliced at Dark Yojimbo, causing it to erupt into Pyreflies.

"Slief, I know this is your doing. Spit it out!" Sleif was about to say something, just as a burst of light appeared, and Shuyin stood before them.
At that moment, he began to talk to Naruma about Sonara, while Sleif looked down at Alex. Turning back towards them, Sleif watched as Shuyin used a sleep spell on Sonara.

"Until we meet again.....Farewell." Shuyin said to Alex. Just as the three were about to disappear into darkness, Sleif took out a small little syringe, before stabbing it into Alex.
"This will help you control it!" Sleif said so only Alex could hear, just before he walked and disappeared in the darkness with the other three.

Naruma, Shuyin, Sonara and Slief emerged on the back of Sin. Shuyin turned around to face Slief.
"What is he doing here? Naruma?" questioned Shuyin.
"It's okay he's joining us." answered Naruma.
"Very well." said Shuyin. "Throw that girl in the cell and follow me."
Naruma placed the girl in the cell and walked over to Shuyin who had entered a nearby Building on Sin's back... after all it was a city. Just it was constantly moving.

"We'll wait here for now." said Shuyin as he sat down at a table that had four chairs around it.

Julia came down the elevator. By now the barrier had been removed by Naruma. Julia ran over to him.
"Alex, are you okay?" she said placing her hands over his body. She muttered in a incomprehensible dead language. A bright blue light lit up the area and Alex's body started to heal slowly. She looked over his body. She saw the syringe sticking out of Alex's leg. It was empty. She slowly removed it and threw it away. She helped him to his feet slowly.. "You okay." she asked with genuine concern. This was unlike Naruma.

As they instantly reappeared, Sleif noticed that they were now located on Sins back. Looking around, the city they were standing in, was humongous in size.
"What is he doing here? Naruma?" Sleifs thoughts were brought back as he heard Shuyin ask. "It's okay he's joining us." Naruma replied to Shuyin.

"Very well. Throw that girl in the cell and follow me!" Shuyin said to Naruma before walking off towards a large building.
Sleif walked after Shuyin, watching as Naruma went in before him, into the building. Walking in, Shuyin was already sitting down at a table with four chairs surrounding it. "We'll wait here for now." said Shuyin, as Sleif stayed standing up in the large building.

Before Sonara was put to sleep, she had thrown an apologetic look to Alex. She had been too afraid to say anything, too afraid to move, still shaken from her near death experience. But she was still sorry. The one called Shuyin placed a sleeping spell on her, and she nodded off to unconsciousness. Her dreams were scattered, almost nightmarish. Anytime she dremed of Alex, he had his fiend arm, and his eyes were full of blood. She would run into the darkness afraid of what he was, and she would run for what seemed to be forever, until she found a light at the end of the endless darkness, but when she appeared to be getting closer, the light got farther away.

Sonara awoke in a cold sweat, the cold metal floor burning against her cheek. She carefully opened one eye, just enough to see barely anything. Slief, Shuyin, and Naruma sat at a tabled, waiting. Alex, your my last hope. She thought as her open eye grazed over the form of Slief, sitting with the enemy. The sleep spell was still too powerful, and once again she drifted off into a troubled sleep.

"SONARA!" he screamed, punching the ground with his fiend hand . Sleif... had he betrayed him? The thing he injected him with. Could it have been a sign of help? Or to stop the power coming so they could destroy him. Why was this happening to him?

"Shall we bring the girl with us... for insurance?" Naruma has asked.
"Do whatever you want... as long as he follows us it doesn't matter," replied the other person.
"Was it... was it my fault?" he asked, clenching his arm.
He collapsed on to his knees as the thing Sleif injected into him was beggining it's process. He became human again, except his fiend arm. A 3rd symbol was on the hand now. He winced in pain as he remembered. Every time the fiend came, a mark would appear on his body. Once a part of his body had 3 marks of the fiend on it, it would remain in fiend state. His arm was stuck like this forever...
"Alex, are you okay?". He heard footsteps and heard Julia calling his name. He couldn't reply. He felt her remove the Syringe and she helped her up.

He stared at the spot where they last stood. The portal. He walked over. He gritted his teeth and kicked hard against the wall that stood behind it. "DAMNIT!".
"SLEIF! YOU BETRAYED US! DIDN'T YOU!?"

"My master wishes to test you to see if you would be an adequate host for Sin... He can only keep up the summon for a short time. He needs something to act as the host for it. To keep it alive.". He felt tears fall from his eyes.
"WHY!?"

How long have I been asleep? The thougt buzzed around her vacant mind like a bee. She was still remembering fuzzy images from the previous fight, Slief's betrayal, Alex being a fiend, her near death at the end of Narumas sword. Sonara really didnt know if she was awake or asleep, every time she blinked her eyes, the scene never changed; another dark cage, evil eyes peering in on her, watching her. Sin...

This time, Sonara truly awoke. She carefully raised her head, once again to see the three figures at the table. She sat up, lolling her head against the cold bar of the cage. She was still drowsy, but she fought the urge to close her eyes. "What do you," She put a bitter emphasis on the last word, "hope to gain by doing all this?" She asked, not caring who answered. She was tired of not knowing about what was going on, and she was going to make herself a threat. You'll get your revenge soon. Alex too. I'm not done fighting yet. She thought as she wished desperately for a means of escape.

"Be quiet girl!" said Shuyin gazing up from the table. "I don't have time for your dribble. Slief. Julia tells me that you seem to know about ancient runes as much as myself. That boy... do you think that he could provide an adequate host. Or should I use the girl instead?" he questioned leaning closer to Slief with inquiring interest.

"WHY!?" said Alex.
"Because Sin needs a fayth in order to maintain it's manifestation." said Julia. "Although I don't understand it quite myself." She said readjusting her hair. "All of my information comes from that libary in Bevelle. Perhaps it might be a good idea to see what kind of info Lady Yuna could provide in her experiences of fighting Sin. She might herald some clues as to what Shuyin may have planned." She said. "You okay walking by yourself?" she asked.

As Sleif sat at the table with Naruma and Shuyin, he noticed Sonara drifting in and out of consciousness. Suddenly, she abruptly awoke, with a slight look of fear on her face, even though she may not have realized it.

"What do you, hope to gain by doing all this?" Sonara asked, as she leaned on the bars of the cage.
"Be quiet girl! I don't have time for your dribble." Shuyin replied to Sonara, from the table.

"Slief. Julia tells me that you seem to know about ancient runes as much as myself. That boy... do you think that he could provide an adequate host. Or should I use the girl instead?" Shuyin said to Sleif.
"Both, would be more then adequate for a host!" Sleif replied. "Alex's transformation has been preparing itself for quite some time now, and so his body is perfect for a host. The only problem, is he is rather strong willed!" said Sleif as he continued to sit in the seat.

"Sonara however, can be used as a host rather easily, but it would take a long time for the body to become suitable for transfer!" said Sleif.

Alex turned around to face Julia. "Is it my fiend side they are after? For Sin!?".
He sat down against the wall, holding his head in his hands.
"If- if they're after me, why use Sonara?" he said quietly. "If I give them my life... will they let Sonara go...?".
"You okay walking by yourself?", Julia asked. Alex nodded grimly, raising his fiend arm and throwing it into the wall, causing it to shatter.
"Sonara... I'm coming..." he said quietly, before walking through another room.

"Sonara however, can be used as a host rather easily, but it would take a long time for the body to become suitable for transfer!" Slief said to Naruma. Sonara's eyes shot open as wide as they could go, her mouth dropping a little. Me? A host for sin?!?! She almost shouted the words out loud in her surprise and rage.

"There's no way your getting Alex! He wouldnt let himself get sucked into a ploy like this! And i would sooner die at your hands than help out Sin." She spat at the ground in front of their feet as she said his name, a look of rage and disgust across her face. She stared coldly into Narma's eyes, then glanced over at Slief. She slowly reached down to her belt, only to find her weapon gone. She was unarmed, in the hands of the enemy, and possibly a sacrafice for Sin. She let her head sag down, her hair covering her face as she silently cried.
