Travels of The Benders

Grey was still scratching his head, as he suddenly noticed his friend Nighteyes nearby. That gave him a bit more comfort. The girl standing in front of him continued to speak for a while, as her cat walked off. A while later the girl called her cat back and introduced her when the animal was back.

"This is shadow, he accompanys me wherever I go." Her voice sounded.

"It is nice to meet you, Mary, and also your cat, Shadow. I really must be on my way now though. Sorry for bothering you before. Bye!"

And with that, he took his leave. He didn't wait for the girl to say anything, he just left her behind like that.

After a minute he left the main street and stepped into a dark alley. Two glowing eyes were watching him.

'Hello my friend...what news do you bring?' He asked his companion Nighteyes in thoughts.

Ryu was still looking at the ocan as he talked to Elias, "my name is Ryu and I'm 17" the teen said as he started to look ahead at the night sky. "I asked why you stoped my fight beacuse it wasen't yours" Ryu said calmey. "Were I come from when 2 fighters are fighting you don't stop them, they started the fight they can end it, besides me and that kid weren't even trying that hard" Ryu said now peting Kage on the head as the wolf was still starteing at the fish. Ryu turned around now looking at Elias with a smile. "but it was a good thing you stoped the fight, if we stayed fighting like that we would probely of got hald the towns people here watching" Ryu said

Ryu heard Elias start to talk again so Ryu just decided to keep talking too. "It's what I do: Earth bend. Not many people can do it where I come from. There seems to be quite a few benders here, though." Ryu noded at Elias coment as he wonderd why there were so many benders in this place. "So why did you come here to this borning place, hell me and kage have been here for almost a week and nothing really good has happend here" Ryu said decided to leabe out the part of fighting those stupid thugs.

Sleif watched as some of the people had decided to go to a place known as Cursed Island. With a slight grin, he looked down upon Kuromori, who looked up in return and gave a slight nod.
Sleif replied the same way, and turned back towards the people and the ship. "If it is okay, I would like to join in this little adventure!" Sleif said as he slowly walked onto the ship, with Kuromori coming up behind him.

The moment Kuromori stepped on board, it seemed to be that the ship tilted to its side slightly, which would have caused a shift in balance for everyone except Sleif.
Sleif looked back on Kuromori, and motioned for him to get aboard quickly, to which he responded, allowing the ship to return to its original state.

"Sorry about that!" Sleif said to the group, as the ship floated normally.

NIraku laughed as a man got on a boat his animal had shifted the waeight."NIce to meet you I'm Niraku the more the merrier so yeah just hop on and whats your name?"NIraku said smiling. "Hope you know how to fight."he then said. But it was true there would be terrors and probably monsters there. Brasiel began to talk to Niraku"Niraku I think we need to go home instead of this venture it doesn't sound reasonable boss won't let you go out amymore this has been a years journey we been traveling lets just leave"She was the smart one the one who knew what to do. Niraku ignored her he knew he was in trouble but when your working for a criminal organization who isn't? Niraku turned to the man again.

"My name is Sleif! A pleasure to meet you!" Sleif said to Niraku, as he bowed a little to him. "And this here is Kuromori!" said Sleif as he motioned towards the large armoured lizard behind him.

"Do you think this wise, master!" Kuromori whispered to Sleif, as he stood beside him. "Maybe, maybe not, but we weren't getting far where we were, right?" Sleif replied to him. "That is true, master. Very well, we should continue!" said Kuromori.
"Good!" Sleif said to Kuromori, before continuing to walk to the center of the ships deck.

after the boy left Mary knew something was going on in this town and she wasnt sure what. "lets go find a room for the night. lets hope the day is better to us."
shadow follows without a word thinking back to the girl. there was something strange about her and he had a feeling that they would meet again real soon.

Madison and Sandy walked until they saw an Inn. The neon green sign was bright and read 'The Cozy Inn'.
We could rest here. Madison suggested hopefully yawning.
We might as well. Sandy agreed.
The two walked inside the inn's doors and up to the woman at the front desk.
"Excuse me miss!" Madison said sweetly.
The woman looked down and saw the little girl. She frowned especially when she noticed that she had what appeared to be a small dog with her.
"Little girl where are your parents? This isn't a place for children to play, especially late at night. Also pets aren't allowed here." The woman said in distaste glancing in Sandy's direction.
Sandy what should we do? Should I lie or something? What if she calls the authorities to report that a child is running around without an adult? Madison asked worried.
Sandy didn't say anything thinking fast. She hoped that something would come to her mind quickly. Madison was tired and needed a place to rest. But Sandy had no idea how they were going to convince this woman that it was alright to let her stay, especially without a parent.

"is there a problume?" Mary asked the woman at the counter
"yes are you this girls mother?" she asked.
"yes i am." mary replied quickly hoping she didnt catch the lie.
"are you aware that we do not allow pets."
"oh i am sorry next time we will be more carful and find a better motel but tonight will you please make an exeption?"Madison and Sandy looked up to Mary in shock.
the woman behined the counter looked thoughtful. "fine" she replied. "room 45" she replied and the three of them walked away in silence

Madison hopped onto one of the beds and Sandy hopped on next to her, watching Mary close the door to the room.
"Thank you! I don't want to sound mean, but who are you? And why did you help us?" Madison asked frowning.
Sandy watched Mary suspiciously. It wasn't a very common thing for strangers to just walk up and help a child, especially in that situation. At least it had gotten them into a room, but Sandy could sense that something was strange about Mary. Sandy growled at her with her fur on end.

"you look like you need a place to stay." Mary smiled eyeing the dog wearily. Shadow jumped onto her shoulders and hissed. "oh stop it." Mary sighed. "anyway i hope you dont mind it may have been presumptius to do it but you look exaused and i can never turn a child down who looks like they are in trouble." Mary removes her pack that is strapped to her back and places it next to the second bed. "now i hope you dont mind but what is a child like yourself running the streets?"

Madison folded her arms and put her nose in the air.
"That is none of your business." She replied.
This is no time to be a difficult child. Sandy told her. Sandy was still standing on the bed growling at Mary and watching her every move.
But I'm scared! I don't know who this woman is. What if she doesn't like children? What if she hurts me or turns me in to the authorities? Madison replied fearfully.

Mary looks out the window at the darkend sky. "there is a war going on" she sighed and then turned back to Madison who looked scared but would not budge. "come i have a candy bar that i think you may like." Mary opens her bag and pulls out a fresh candy bar that she planned on eating with dinner. "here im sure you must want something to eat how bout you wait here and i'll go see if this hole in the wall place has anything decent. while im gone how bout you get yourself cleand up. i have an extra towl in my bag, feel free to use it ill be back." Mary walks to the door and opens it. "oh you can run if you wish, i hope you choose not to but i will not stop you there is some money for food in the front pouch if you so desire it but i hope you will stay and relax. it has been a while since i have had a childs company and i soarly miss it. your dog looks a little hungy also i'll get her something as well." at that Mary shut the door and walked away with Shadow at her heels. she paused when shadow called to her.
"Mary is this wise, you took in a random kid from the streets, she could be a killer."
"oh hush, she just needs some careing for let the girl sleep and you not bother her or the dog, they both look exauseted."
"yes ma'mn"

Madison watched Mary leave the room. She stayed silent for a while, watching Mary's cat.
Well there is no reason not to freshen up a bit. We have been traveling for a long time. Plus Mary offered. Sandy reasoned. She was finally beginning to feel comfortable and had curled up in a ball on the bed.
What if she's some sort of pedophile or something and she has cameras? Madison asked worried.
I don't sense anything dangerous about her now that I've had time to evaluate her a bit. Sandy said thoughtfully. She seems as if she has a kind heart. She also seems to be very fond of children. I think we can trust her. Now her cat is another issue. Sandy replied icily.
Madison sighed and got off the bed. She had extra clothes in her pack, so she decided she might as well change. Picking up Sandy, Madison went into the rest room. Going over to the shower, Madison began running the bath water.
Might as well clean Sandy to while I'm at it.

When the two felt clean and refreshed, they went back to the room. Madison was wearing what looked like a yellow summer dress with sunflowers on it. She had put her hair in pig tails with bright yellow ties and she was wearing white sandals. Sandy had on a yellow bow around her neck.
I'm not a scout while I'm here so there is no need to wear a disguise. Madison said happily to Sandy.
That's true, but make sure that you're ready to change at a moments notice or be ready to run if we have to. If Mary is right and a war is on the horizon, your scouting skills might come in handy. So be on your guard at all times.
The two sat down on their bed. Mary still wasn't back yet, but her cat was watching them from Mary's bed curled up into a ball.

"well the food is here" Mary sang as she walked into the room empty handed.
"where" Sandy asked
"oh yes, shadow if you please. i left it in the kitchen." Mary smiled and the cat stood and streached. around the table the shadows deancend and enveloped it for a second before they retreated and on the table was a mountain of food for the four of them.
"you look so darling in that dress" Mary smiled as she walked to her pack and pulled out a change of clothes and walked over to the restroom. "im going to take a quick shower and will be out in a sec. feel free to start if you wish. the food for your dog is that meat in the far corner. if you dont mind pouring a bit of milk in the dish that would be great."
Mary walked into the shower and turned in on after a minute the water warmed and she felt her mussles tighten. before she knew it she collaped and was sitting down. she sat for a second then stood up cleand up and walked out feeling refreshed, hungry and tired. god i wonder how the kids are doing back home she wondered to herself. my sister is so lucky, having twins when i have none. she sighed and walked back into the room.

Madison glared at Mary when she went to take a shower.
"She's a marten, not a dog." Madison muttered under her breathe.
She walked over to the table and sniffed a chicken leg she picked up. She eyed the food carefully to make sure that it was alright for consumption.
Any red flags Sandy?
Smells fine to me.
But I'm not hungry. We ate a big meal of fried chicken earlier. Madison said pouting.
Then don't eat much, but eat a little so as not to upset Mary.
Whatever. Madison said rolling her eyes.
The little girl sat down and took a small bite out of the chicken leg she was holding.
