Taira had slid the cell back into her bag, and had just peeked outside when a shockwave of energy sent dust flying into the door. She turned inward, and found the guy there. "So.. you know where i can sell this little toy of mine? because really.. i need as Much money as i can get." She pulled with the hilts of two thin daggers strapped to her wrist. With all this commotion outside, she might have to use them. She siighed. "No rest for the weary is right, I'm beat tired.. I don't want to have to deal with crap like this."

Blain slipped the dossier inside his armoured jacket, he could read it later. "Put those butter knives away," he said, noticing that the woman had loosened a pair of knived concealed by her sleaves, "The guards can handle one rouge Superior. If they can't I call dibs on the cannon though. Anyway, yeah, about that item. I do know a guy who would be interested in buying it. His name's Blain, Blain Lance. Any chance I could know who I'm refering to him?" He looked over the woman and the begginings of an unfamiliar emotion began to stir in him before he stamped them down. He was not about to do something stupid, stupid things got you killed. "Come on," he said, "We don't want to step into a firefight, we'll take the back door. I'll take you to the guy's place. Don't know how much he can pay, but it'll probably be worth quite a bit."

Taira smiled. "Hey, they aren't any butter knives.. they could slit YOUR throat in a few seconds. Tell this Mr. Blain that my names Taira... last name isn't needed." Of course she knew that he was referring to himself. She was able to see that much by the look on his face. She smiled. "I'm just not sure he has enough to afford what I'm chargin." She headed in the direction of the door they were walking toward, going out first. She smiled to herself. Wow that was almost, perverted, for a sec. Oh well.. no like these feelings will mean anything later.. I'm selling and leaving. Nothing better to do.. I gotta find that rat anyways. She faced him at the door, hands on hips. "So, we gonna go? Or you still waiting for more fireworks?"

As the smoke cleared, Sleif could be seen standing in the middle of the crater with his sword raised in front of him. Smoke and dust slowly falling from the stainless blade.
Still with a twisted grin on his face, Sleif once again, began to advance towards the remaining soldiers.

"Right men, one more time, fi....!" the lead soldier began to say before he abruptly stopped. "Sir, your orders. Sir......!" one of the other soldiers questioned, as he turned towards his commanding officer, only to notice a long black blade through his body.

Sudden fear began to creep upon the soldiers face, as Sleif withdrew his blade as he turned his gaze onto the man.
"You bas....!" the man never finished the word, as Sleif began a small massacre on the surrounding men. Once finished, the lucky soldiers who remained were lying in pools of their own blood on the ground.

In one quick swipe, Sleif had cleared the fresh blood from his blade, before turning towards the two people at the doors.
"Like what you seen?" Sleif asked.

"You might want to think next time," said Blain to the guy in the street, "You can take a dozen, but what about fifty? One hundred? Two? With heavy artillery? Wasteland's for fighting pal, towns are for if you want to die." He and Taria slipped out the back way as more guards sprinted down the street, yelling battlecrys, following the alleys until they reached the mud brick and corugated iron structure Blain called his house. Pushing aside the cloth that served as a door, he went inside, holding the cloth up for his guest. There was no need for tighter security, he kept all his valuables on him. "You look a mess," he said, "Shower's in the back, feel free. Business goes easier when everyone's relaxed and clean. He flopped onto the old sofa and pulled out the dossier. "Take your time." The woman eyed Blain suspiciously, before stepping into the back and taking a shower. Something about the way she moved caught Blain's memory and he reched beneath the sofa into the box that served as his old filing cabnet. he pulled out an old poster for a singer who had stopped in town a few years back. Olivia Saphina. He knew he had seen that glide before, so out of place in the wasteland and yet, so appropriate at the same time. When Taria walked back in, a bit wetter and a lot cleaner, Blain stood up, pushing his papers under the couch. "Good to see there's a girl under all the dust," he said, "Even if you do insist upon wearing those goggles indoors... Your eyes must be quite something, miss Saphina."

Spike's hands gripped his gun tightly. This guy was like the rest of the guys he'd fought, all egotistical with no thought as to what thier actions might bring about. "Your just like the rest of them, Inhuman monsters," he spat as his hand dropped towards his grenade, "But it's not like you won't die if i put a bullet between those eyes of yours, Your not a god and that's all the edge i need." His hand cut the chord on the grenade and he threw it near slief, causing it to explode. An immediate draining effect would of been felt by the superiors, as thier bodies were drained of thier powers. "See take away your powers and your just like the rest of us," He lowered his pistol and drew out his M16 and took careful aim, He unloaded a full clip of thirty bullets at Slief, "oh, your forgetting one more very basic thing, you don't have what it takes to kill me,"

Taira had just been tying her hair back, using the few mechanical things on her that served as a rat tail wrap. She looked up at Blain. a glare shot out from beneath her wet bangs, the view darkened by the lense. She pulled them down, her glare wiping away as she did so. She walked up to Blain, her hands resting on his chest. She smiled a rare smile, her white teeth pearls under slightly red lips. her hand Slid along his face, pulling it towards her. She walked behind him and her dagger found its place underneath his chin. "For a Superior you aren't the brightest. Never let an enemy get behind you. Rule number one, Blain Alexander lance. I know who you are too. A famous outrider. Superior extrordinare." She tightened her grip on her dagger, the blade against Blains windpipe.

Blain smiled, in spite of the odds. The second Taria had touched his chest, he had known somethnig was up. Outriders and their kind did not show such emotions so readily. There was a click and Taria felt something poke her midsection. "Want to know what damage a nine milimeter can do at this range? I don't like sharp objects at my throat very much and my trigger finger is faster than your wrist. Both of us could die here, but I don't think that's what either of us want. Only problem is, now you got my blood racing and I'm all rilled up for a fight, so I guess I have no other choice but to do THIS!" While he had been prattling inanely, Blain's other hand had been snaking up his torso. Suddenly he grabbed the knife and forced it away from his neck, twisting out of the chokehold at the same time. Holstering his gun again, he reached behind his back and pulled out his spear, flicking a catch on its shalft so it extended to its full length. "Lesson two, Taria Saphina! If you're going to kill someone, do it fast!" he smiled as they faced off.

Taira swore, but she smiled at the same time. She knew it was coming. Blain lived up to his rep. She kicked him in the stomach, kicking herself away form the reach of his spear. She pulled out her daggers, ignoring her Katanas for the time being, and looked at him. "Too bad, i was hoping you would hear me sing." She jumped to the side, using the wall as her propulsion. She launched herself forward, spinning gracefully towards Blain. Her daggers shimmered, but she didn't attack. She landed behind him, back to back, her daggers held up in defense. Blain stepped, and Taira followed, her back never leaving his. "Bad thing about long range weapons like spears. And I don't thik you want to USE your guns really. If your anything like your description, you prefer captives over dead right? Or was that someone else. She punched the capped ends of her knives into his sides and left his back, then sat on the couch. "If you want to kill be, have at it. I'm tired... and really, I don't want any more blood on my hands for today." She sheathed her daggers, and looked at Blain. "Kill me, I dare you. It would be better than living in this hell hole of a world."

Sleif quickly turned around to see Spike throw the grenade a few feet in front of him. Raising his hand, Sleif didn't know if he would be able to do anything, but he knew he had to do something.
As the grenade exploded, Sleif was able to somehow dampen the effectiveness of the explosion, but not completely its side effect.

A little taken back from the sudden drop in energy, Sleif soon regained his composure as he watched Spike unload a full round of shots in his direction.
Even with what happened, Sleif was able to deflect most of the bullets into the oncoming wave of soldiers, causing them to fall onto the ground.

The bullets that Sleif were not able to deflect, he was still able to dodge. "I think I'll leave this for another time!" Sleif said as he leaped backwards, gain some distance from Spike.
For some reason, his power had been lowered quite a bit, but not enough for him not to be able to sense the two other superiors.

"I think it would be better worth your time, to pursue those other two superiors! From what I can tell, it seems things are beginning to heat up!" Sleif said before turning and walking down one of the many darkened alleys.

Blain smirked and rubbed his sides, "Dead, alive, whatever I'm being paid more for. But yeah, you're right. Captives over bodies. More mess in this life, less in the next." He collapsed the spear and strapped it to his back again, "But you don't seem to like killing either, so it might be best for both of us if we left off fighting and got to talking." He sat down, making sure to place his spear and guns on the opposite side of the room as a gesture of faith. A split second later though, his knife was quivvering in the table in front of them, "Lesson three, never let your guard down that easy. Lesson four, always have a back-up weapon. Anyway, enough games. That fuel cell's worht quite a pretty penny. I could offer you a lot of credits, but I don't think that anything I try will be high enough, so here's a though: We work together." He leaned forward and looked at his hands, "I know your look. You're searching for something. Something worth more than old-tech or credits. Me, I don't know what I'm looking for, but you. I'm thinking two things. One you won't even admit to yourself. I understand. But the other is deffinitely somethnig I can help you get. I don't normaly do this, but..." he stuck out his hand, "Partners? For now at least."

Taira smirked at the knife that was deep into the table. She set her own daggers down, taking out several more. She placed her katanas on the table, then pulled the two from her boots, the one strapped to her leg and then several more, working deceptively fast. As she finished placing the last blade on the table, she looked at them. She counted them quickly and went to her shoulder. She lifted one more blade and placed it with a heavy thud on the table. "Oh i dare say i had back up weapons covered." She looked at him and smiled. "You have no idea exactly how my mind works... but partners it is. Background stories would be nice.. and none of those ads. I want to know your past from your lips. How else can we build trust?" She started grabbing her shivs, placing them back in their original positions deftly, her hands never quite stopping. "Suprised at how many weapons i have conceiled? Don't worry I have more i just don't want to dig up those old tricks." She pulled out the fuel cell and placed it in his hands. She smiled to herself, and pulled up her goggles once more. She yawned, grabbing her katanas rather like a child would a security blanket. She hugged them to her chest. "You have no idea what I'm looking for."

Footsteps raced closer, pounding hard until stopping - right before Joseph's face.

"okay I am not good at this talking thing...what I am trying to say is..do you want to like...team up or something. I know your thinking not after what happened but your strong and that could be usefull later on. also who knows what is out there. there could be creatures or something. the way I see it is both of us are more likely to survive if we stick together"

The bumbling speech was, needless to say, grating on Joseph's nerves. Tapping a foot, he folded his aching arms.

"So..." he grumbled, before continuing, "you watch me wander around, punch me in the face, throw me through a window, and attempt to kick the crap out of me - and you want me to team up?!"

A short laugh escaped him, his dark eyes glimmering.

"Nice logic you have there," he smirked, hands within his pockets.

All of a sudden, off in the distance, roared a strangely haunting noise, one that barked towards the moon and the stars. Joseph frowned before continuing to walk.

"Look, I'm going to find somewhere to stay," he stated. "Follow if you want, but if not, back off."

this man....it was like his hobby was to be annoying. . he didn't want to team up with this ass. he would be better off on his own. but he would atleast give the man something to remember him by. Storm took out his sword. it glistened in the moonlight. Storm couldn't control his anger anymore. he charged forward putting all his speed into it."aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! Storm cried as he charged at joseph with the intention of leaving him in a mess on the ground.

"'The hell is it with you?!"

Joseph's somewhat instinctive glance over his shoulder had been lucky. Face-to-face with a raging Storm, blade in hand, ready for the kill, he didn't fancy his chances. Without thinking, he ducked, before bringing himself back to his feet, clenching his fists tightly.

"What is wrong with you?!" he shouted out at Storm, lifting his weight slightly to allow easy movement. "First you attack, then ask me to join you, then try to kill me! I've seen mood swings before but yours take the cake - just what is your problem?!"
