I've been inactive due to complications with my health, but now that I've got my health partially under control I've returned to my KHInsider family!

I'm going to give away some Kingdom Hearts games! All the games are brand new (I removed the factory seal to check the games). If you want a Kingdom Hearts game, all you have to do is write a short story of no less than 500 words about why you deserve the game (or how I'm really, really, ridiculously good-looking). I'll choose the winners next week!

Spoiler: Why I deserve the game (exactly 500 words)

I didn't know what to expect when I borrowed Kingdom Hearts from my cousin. I didn’t know that I’d be playing the first game for a total of two months (the longest time I’ve spent on a single game). I didn’t know how many times I’d die from the Maleficent dragon battle, or the subsequent battle with Dark Riku. The first time I played Kingdom Hearts was full of things I didn’t know what to expect, which is why I quickly went and got the sequel after my first playthrough. When I got home from Gamestop with Kingdom Hearts 2, I was amazed at how well the sequel fixed the gameplay problems of the first game, including smooth controls and updated graphics. KH2 was probably the last game that surprised me in how well it preformed—I never thought that the sequel would outdo the original, but with the long story, new worlds, and exciting story, I wasted most of my summer playing the game until I played the game enough to unlock the secret ending.

Even after completing the second game, I still wanted more. I had no idea that Chain of Memories existed, and until 2008 I had long forgotten one of my favorite game series until I was looking at my old PS2 games again. Looking at the box reminded me how much time I enjoyed playing the two games, and instead of playing them, I went online to see if there was any sequel. After a little searching, I found I was right. It turned out there were actually three games (BBS, Days, Coded), but they were far from USA release. I was disappointed at first, but that didn’t stop me from finding all what I could about the next games in the series.

Re: CoM helped make the wait easier for Days, and I was so excited when I got home with the game. I played Days until I literally beat everything in the game. But the time I spent playing it didn’t help ease the wait for BBS. Overtime, I got bored with it, and I played the older games in preparation for BBS. That time paid off, and I finally got the game a week after its US release.

With joining KHI, the fan’s complaints about Re: Coded became mine; I was getting tired of the same old worlds with KH Sora. Because of these reasons, I dropped anticipation for this game and instead eagerly waited for KHDDD.

Overtime, my opinion changed. I still haven’t seen a walkthrough of it, so I barely know anything about its story besides the reveal of the letter’s contents from the end of KH2. I slowly began to want the game since it was the only KH game I didn’t have. I realized that the game was crucial to the story, and I would spend just as much time playing it like the others. This is why it would be nice for me to win the game.

So there you have it! And yes, I want KH: Coded please. I hope being the first entry has its perks.

I learned all I could about the sequels: Days was about Roxas’s time in the Organization; BBS was a prequel set 10 years before the first; and Coded took place after KH2. Each game had my interest, but Days was the one I was more excited about. Roxas was my favorite character in KH2, and I always enjoyed playing his segment at the beginning of the game. But, like all the others, it was too long of a wait. I’ve never waited so long for a game before, and to pass the time, I bought myself Re: CoM after I found out about it when I searched the web for available sequels. After playing the game, the beginning of KH2 finally made sense to me.

Like all the other KH games, I kept playing BBS over and over again. It was finally nice to play a KH game with PS2-like graphics, and be treated with all new worlds and characters. But, replaying it made the experience dull—it was tiring playing each story again. I was not that excited when I found out news about Re: Coded. It really didn’t interest me as much as Days and BBS when I heard about it, and since it was not going to be released in the US I sort of forgot about it. I would like to go for Re: Chain of Memories.

I started playing Kingdom Hearts when I was in Third Grade. I was already a fan of Final Fantasy X, so when I heard there was a game that merged Final Fantasy and Disney? Well... I begged my parents pretty hard for it.

So, when I did get my hands on the game, it was everything I ever dreamed of. Fast paced action, Disney characters that I grew up with, and the awesome vibe of Final Fantasy. It was amazing. Going through all these worlds, and going up against Ansem in the final battle was all breathtaking. I was so obsessed, I even made up my own trading cards, drew Sora and his friends ALL the time, and went through the game multiple times. There had to be more.

I never got many chances to play many Game Boy Advance games, but when I was browsing through some shops and found Chain of Memories, I was over the moon… only to see that it was 50 dollars. My parents would never let me get it, and I couldn’t afford it myself. I resorted to emulation, and I personally don’t think it was as satisfying as it would’ve been if I played the game on the actual handheld, which was sad.

When II came, I had a pirated Playstation 2 by that point. My parents had told me to download the game instead of buying it. So… I downloaded it and burned it to disc. It’s a huge regret of mine, and now that I think back, I really wish that I went ahead and just bought the actual game. Even so, this game wounded up being my favourite title so far. It was even faster than I, the characters all had updated and awesome outfits, and the music, oh, the music was brilliant!

As each new game came out, I played through them all and loved every moment of doing so, buying the games along the way. 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep, Re: coded, even going ahead and purchasing the reprint of II… but there was one game that didn’t come out in Australia. Re: Chain of Memories. I didn’t understand. I was honestly confused. So, I did what I could and downloaded the game, like with II on launch. I went through the game and loved it, but even after all that, I had an extremely uncomfortable feeling. Especially since my experiences through Re: Chain of Memories were some of my favourites throughout the whole series.

Because I have an… illegal Playstation 2, it’s pretty much region free. I can play games from any region. I would love it so much, if I could own a legitimate copy of Chain or Memories, Re, or not. Kingdom Hearts is a series that is very near and dear to my heart, and with Dream Drop Distance coming up, my love for the series is as strong as ever. This is why I believe I would personally love to win the game.

EDIT: I think you made a bit of an error in the OP. It says "No less than 500 words", and on the main newsblog, it says "500 words or less". Also, it's great that you've recovered, dude!

I would just absolutly LOVE IT if I could get my hands on Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. Know why? Because it's the only Kingdom Hearts game I haven't played)': When I first played Kingdom Hearts 2, I thought Namine was some evil girl who wanted to kill Sora! I was so confused! I didn't even know this game existed till like last year! So, in some games I was just kinda was like, okay, who are all these people? But, if you decide to give this game to another person, is it okay if I have one of the other games? My brother pawned my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days and Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded game D': And to make matters worse, he pawned my Birth by Sleep and PSP too. I was so angry. But, in a way I understand because he was in a tight spot....but he could've informed me! Anyways, if you do decide to give me CoM that would be great! But, I'm totally down with any other. Spoiler: EXACTLY 500 words

My life is a tragic story. Though probably not many would care to hear, I merely hope that you take a listen and understand why I desire these Kingdom Hearts games. It all started very early in my life. My parents abandoned me at youth and I became mentally unstable. Mad as a Hatter, I was. I was then sent to an orphanage… well; at least that’s what I call it. It’s more of an asylum than anything. An asylum where they put children up for adoption? A little odd, but the rest of the orphans were just as insane, and sometimes even more insane than me. Remaining in this orphanage, I was completely drowned in depression. I never understood why my parents left me, and insanity grew in me. Yet years later, I received a gift from an anonymous donator to the orphanage. This game turned out to be Kingdom Hearts. I immediately fell in love with the game and all the characters in it. I felt extreme gratitude for that anonymous donator. It seemed that in the first time in my life, someone cared for me. I became an immediate fan of the series. I tried to play as many as I could and with each new Kingdom Hearts game, I grew more and more happy! This series brought me so much joy in my life. Yet tragedy struck once again. I was soon diagnosed with cancer. Long story short, I have managed to recover a lot of my strength over the couple of years, but the cancer remains. This cancer has drained my brain of social interactivity so I was horrible at making friends. One of my goals I had in my high school life was to hopefully break the social barrier caused by the cancer and possibly get a girlfriend. That goal was never realized. The “Forever Alone” meme floating around the Internet… I believe it to be a representation of who I am right now. The only social abilities I could somewhat grasp are being able to communicate through text on the Internet… but that never gets me anywhere in life. No parents, no friends… Life has been miserable yet again in my "Forever Alone" life. The only happiness I get is from playing a Kingdom Hearts game. The nostalgia it brings as I visit all these Disney worlds and revisit beloved characters that I would have otherwise long forgotten. If I could, I would buy every single Kingdom Hearts game I could get. Alas that is not possible. The cancer in my mind has slowly gotten worse since getting out of high school. I have to pay for the continual visits to the doctor. As I could not afford to spend any money on this joyous series, I would be eternally grateful to receive this donation you are offering. The joy I would feel in three new experiences in the Kingdom Hearts series is indescribable. You would make a sad, lonely, man happy again.

i love kh games i discovered the games a a bout a 1 year a go i played kh bbs frst i was totally confused
but i love it and i found out there was more sow i played kh1 and kh2 and coded and i just finished 358/2 Days
as you can see i'm missing 1 i want it because i haven't played it and i love kh games !!!!!!!!!!
