| Their Will Be Only Chaos!! | Is the fact that no one is original with movies anymore. How come everybody is doing remakes of movies? I was just checking out myspace and I saw a bulleting that pissed me off. Lions Gate is remaking the GREAT Japanese horror movie called The Eye. It seems that everyone is going down this path. Lately, it feels like no one can be original anymore. Personally I think it sucks and it's annoying. I dont want to see something that I have seen in the past and enjoyed, and watch someone ruin it. What do you KHI users think? |

| Their Will Be Only Chaos!! | Yeah I didnt see Across the Universe but it didnt look that good to me. The Eye remake is gonna suck though. On a brighter note, Jessica Alba has the lead role. |

| peace and chicken grease | Every Japanese movie that is remade and brought to America always sucks. Hollywood needs to make its own horror movies that are acutally good cause i dont remember the last horror movie that has the same effect as teh old days with Michael Myers, Jason, Feddie, and Chucky. |

If you think Hollywood's gone to shit with horror movies, watch 28 Days Later and Shaun of the Dead. You will not be dissapointed. ~Dorian Gray

I don't even bother going to movies anymore unless a preview really catches my eye, or if my boyfriend is paying. XD Even then, it's a waste of time. Watching the same movie over and over that is. OH and also, Pans Labyrinth was amazing. Very original, only catch is there are subtitles which bother some people. So was eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Party Monster. Hah, okay I'm done. |

The only reason the films aren't treated like the b-movies they are is beacause they were the proto-slasher flicks, almost like grindhouse films. They have no merit whatsoever outside of that. Also, whoever mentioned Pan's Labyrinth gets some points, that was one of the best films of last year, by far. ~Dorian Gray |

Never seen any of those slash horrors like Chucky, Freddie, and whatnot. I also heard Shaun of the Dead is excellent. A couple months ago, some friends and I rented a movie which the worker at Blockbuster said was "Effed up", called High Tension. It was a movie made in France, and it was disturbingly good. Yet another great movie.

| Licks the Rapper | Are you people actually referring to shaun of the Dead as a legitimate horror movie? Granted it's really good, but it is a parody. I freaking love Jason, they can't remake that. They won't even try. |

And as I can recall The Ring had a much better storyline then a movie with a red-headed doll. Honestly, if a movie is good, I could care less if it's a remake or not. Last edited by Shadukai X; 10/18/07 at 04:40 PM.
