Rep Power: 5 ![]() Level: 22 EXP: | So apparently this is like an insanely scary movie. It started off just showing at colleges and stuff but then there was some online DEMAND IT thing and it hit 1,000,000 so now it's going nationwide. Anyway, synopsis; Quote:
Has anyone seen it yet? I'd really like to hear about it some more.

| This Just In: I Don't Give a Shit | I saw this movie downtown, and I got to say I was disappointed. I didn't find it scary at all really, it was just a bunch of hype to me. It wasn't worth it, at least to me. Everyone I saw it with thought it was scary though. Oh well... Last edited by testify; October 16th, 2009 at 04:03 AM. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() Level: 22 EXP: | I honestly can't really imagine myself being too terribly scared from a movie, I mean the way people describe it I can't really see myself feeling the same way. Of course I can't really judge until I see it. |

| This Just In: I Don't Give a Shit | Yeah, I really don't get scared at any scary movies anymore. And I thought from what everyone was saying about this movie, that it might actually be pretty scary, but then I guess the hype just sort of ruined it for me. I don't know, you could give it a chance, because like I said, everyone I went with thought it was scary. I guess scary movies aren't really my thing anymore. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() Level: EXP: | The movie is pretty eerie overall, and things definitely get chaotic near the end. I watched it, and for a person who has felt next to no fear in any horror movies in years, I wasn't disappointed when watching this movie. What's interesting about this movie is it manages to hold some humor in it, probably because of the realism presented in conversation. Let it be known I was going into the theater expecting something mediocre, not great. |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() Level: 19 EXP: | I'm going to see it tonight with friends. This girl I work with said that the guy (around 25ish) sitting next to her jumped so hard at one point in the movie that he spilt the drink he had in his hand on her. Of course he appologized, but she said the look on his scared face and the laughter she got from it was enough that he didnt have too lol. |

| College Is Time To Make New Changes | The movie is more psychologically scary rather than the normal horror movie. Its some of the suttle things that are the creapiest. It gives us a sense that this could sort of happen. Myself knowing a lot about demonology found the movie even more terrifying because I could tell what demon was haunting them based off of the husband's job and how the demon tormented them. It is the scenes in the movie that cause fear. You see a type of scene and know something is coming. That is probably the scariest part... Knowing something is going to happen extremely soon but not know exactly when. I thought it was clever that they used 3:30 am several times in the movie. (The Demon Hour) Opposing the time that Jesus died on the cross 3:30 pm... I have never seen a scary movie in theaters and I was freaked out by the night scenes cause the entire room shook when there were loud bass sounds. |

With that said, i loved this movie, it's refreshing to see horror movie without the gore. I really wanted to see what the demon looked like, but at the same time, i'm glad it wasn't shown in the movie. It would ruin the scary vibe the movie gives. I came to the movie expecting ghosts. The heavy foot steps gave a creepy feeling every time. Last edited by kago; October 20th, 2009 at 01:34 AM.

| lol sup | I saw this the midnight it opened in my town on Sept. 2nd. This movie is not a conventional horror flick by any means. There are few, if any, of the cheap Hollywood thrills, like things just jumping out at you and stupid shit like that. It's more of a psychological horror movie. See this movie on the pretense that everything in it is real, and that demons exist (they don't). It makes it much more horrifying. |

After seeing the movie i researched everything i could find about it. Besides the director studying demonology, he got the idea to make the movie, because creepy stuff would go on in his house. And the house the movie was made in, is the directors house. And the original ending was taken out, because Steven Spielberg said it was to disturbing. And that there's two original endings, but i'm not sure if that's true; i think there's just one.
