Hard Candy ♥

Hard Candy is one of my favourite movies ever and since I don't know many people who have watched it, I thought I'd post a thread about it. I checked the movie section and there wasn't one. Okay, so. Hard Candy is a movie about a 14-year-old girl named Hayley. On the outside she is soft, gentle and seemingly normal and naïve, but her face lies. The movie is based around an encounter she has with Jeff Kohler, a fashion photographer, who she's been chatting to for a few weeks over the Internet. The events unfold from there. The movie stars Ellen Page (Juno, X-MEN 3, Mouth to Mouth) as Hayley, Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, The Phantom of the Opera, Running with Scissors) as Jeff, Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy) and two other actors, Odessa Rae and G.J. Echternkamp. Yes, only five actors in total, but the film is a MUST SEE.

I was under the impression that this movie was fairly popular. I think this is a pretty good movie, I find that Ellen Page is a really good actress, so that helps.

This movie doesn't seem to be that popular considering the amount of views and replies this thread has. Bah. Maybe it's because there's a lack of flow of people in this section of the forums. But yes. Ellen Page is absolutely brilliant. Her acting in Hard Candy is SUPERB.

it was a good movie,
although i'll pass on the castration
scene. Seen it twice, and i'm still
traumatized at that scene.... that
and the castration scene in Hostel 2.
