Hey everyone. I'm starting an animation series online very soon. I chose movies because thats what It will eventually Be. I'm an animator and decided it is time to boost my portfolio as well as express myself. I have been working this summer as an art counselor and haven't had the time to really work on it to much. I have to get Adobe Creative Suite 4 for my college but I have worked with the programs before. Currently I'm using a free program called SeaShore to draw my artwork before I get Adobe. Right Now I have a few of the drawings finished and almost ready to animate my second piece. There will be a free preview and a game demo to try out. I will hopefully have the first five minute animation out within the first week of the site opening. I think it will be out within the end of the month or very beginning of next moth. But enough about the progress. Let me tell you the plot.

This animation is called 'TheEndHero' ... Its copyrighted by me, the whole thing is so don't think of stealing it. The story is loosely based off of a book in the Bible, Revelations, (the end of the world). You may think it's been done before and it is true. The End of the world is not a new idea for a video. But TheEndHero focus' on the love of god. With God I believe that anything is possible. But even with God, nothing is going to be easy. Teenagers are the least innocent of people. They are one of the most lustful and out of touch with god or any type of religion. TheEndHero focus is on Seven unlikely heroes. These seven are given powers to fight demonic creatures called shadows. These shadows are created from the bodies of fallen people those who loose their souls to the devil are transformed into shadows. The shadows begin the attack on the seven trying to enliminate the heroes that are needed to save the world and call fourth Christ for the second coming. With a leader chosen by the demon Lucifer, the shadows succeed at defeating one of the seven. The 'death' of the first of the seven causes the Rapture. All those who believe are sent to heaven. Four Forgotten heroes arise from the ashes of the fallen seventh and with the help of the remaining six try to preach about the God to those who are left after the rapture. Their preaching lasts for a year as the governments become ruled by a powerful force who talks about piece and wields a weapon unlike any other seen. The powerful force marries a woman possessed by a demon and claims to be king, god. The heroes must work to help those left after the rapture and defend the rising amounts of shadows who begin wreaking havoc on human cities.

So tell me what you think. After I have the first animation of the series up on the website I will be leaving for college. I plan to try to have as many animations out as possible but they require voice acting from my friends who are also going to college. I plan to sell these animations for $1.25 for every next 5-8min animation. Is this a fair price? It will probably total to $12 for the 'first movie' meaning its about an hour and a few minutes and the second series will be about $12-$13.25 for about another hour and a half.

I will not give many more details about the animation series because the site will answer many questions but create quite a few more. I have a friend who is also making the music for this and I plan to make a few contacts with my favorite bands to try to sponsor the animation or come to an agreement to have their music on the animations for a small fee.

The bands that I am interested in contacting are Switchfoot and Avenged Sevenfold. Their music definately fits the moods set by may animation so anyone who may have contact information of these bands would be awesome. I have Switchfoot's mass email address and both myspaces and facebooks for each band.

Yes it is a religious animation. It takes information from both Jewish and Christian beliefs mainly but discusses that the belief that there is a god that wants to forgive us for our sins. It does not bash any belief systems unless you count Satanism.

I bet you are wondering what the style of art is. It's honestly different from things most people see. It is a combination of realism, Rave Master manga, and the newer Batman Comics. My main audience is teenagers. As a camp counselor I have excited many children ages 8-14 with the idea of the animation. My friends, 15-18 are also excited but many of them are characters or voice acting. So their opinion is biased. I opened this thread to see what the initial reaction to the animation is to the KHI. When the website is open I want to see what everyone thinks. I would appreciate your participation.

That sounds like a good idea. Yeah the price seems fair. Maybe you can make the first episode free or something but $12 for a movie isnt bad when its about $20 for a movie the same lenght at a store.

How long until the website is up?

the first episode will be free. It will show the first battle and some conversation basically some of the main basic animation to be shown. The site will hopefully be up by September 1st. I leave for college on the 28th of august. My friend will help me manage it. But we will be in different parts of the state.

:D Thanks... Well Im using Adobe Flash. It is a licensed program that is fairly expensive. Most animation companies create their own animation programs that work for them. Some free programs are listed hear as well as trial period programs.

I'm going to get the Master Collection pretty soon....it's usually $2500 or so, but my student discount from my summer program nails it for me at $900 :D

Anyway good luck with it! I'd love to see it when it finishes. Let me know if you need voice work I suppose?

Eh I've seen incredible anime go for $1 an episode (Monster boxset cough), sometimes $2 for a 10-minute episode, so I'd either charge $1.25 for 8 min. or $1 for 5 minutes.

Eh I've seen incredible anime go for $1 an episode (Monster boxset cough), sometimes $2 for a 10-minute episode, so I'd either charge $1.25 for 8 min. or $1 for 5 minutes.

Our school has a really big discount. Its 500 for master collection :D

To copyright ideas... Well there is creators' copyright which all you have to do is sign your work and mail it to yourself and keep the envolope sealed. That holds up in court when you dont make much money. But for $34 you can copyright the idea with the us government either online or through the mail by emailng/ mailing the artwork and story and ideas. I plan to do both. But I have the creators' copyright for the moment until i actually put the stuff online.

:D Thanks. I see your point about the money issue. But none of the animation are only 5 mins. All of them are at least 6 most likely. Ive done calculations already for time. I kinda did this cause plenty of people use itunes and the music vids there are quite a bit actually.. Two dollars for any music video and some are only 3 mins.

Um give me a day or two I have to find one. I currently don't have flash on my mac... So Idk if i can get a screen shot from the animation.

This one is of two characters called Amy and Jess they are holy mages and basically can mold and weave this metal called holy.





This picture is one of the first I drew i drew this last year and it was my first photoshop picture. I was learning the tools and this is less of what the animation will look like but it is three of the main characters The one in the middle is Jimmy the one to the left is Steve and the one to the right is David

The first of the two is part of a scene that will be at the very end of the animation. The black will not be there but it would ruin the very end if you saw everything in the picture
