Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 5 Centimeters Per Second, Mongol, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. All brilliant. Sunshine was a trip into the disorganized form of memory.

We watched it in school. D: Great film, but very sad.

Another I liked was Bullet Boy. It's a similar sort of narrative, revolving around young people and gun violence in London.

Eternal Sunshine was a great film, loved it.

I actually hadn't watched 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' until last year in a Psychology lesson, but it was a really good film, I saw that Empire or Total Film had voted Jack Nicholson's part as the greatest movie performance of all time.

Memento was awesome.

Some people associate independant movies with prententiousness. But those are mainly the indie/artsy movies.
