I know it's been so long!!! I thought I'd never be back again either :'( But my strong desire for the internet and love for KH lead me back here again! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be with not having internet. I was so overloaded with school and club activities that I was barely home!! It was a nightmare at times but I got through it. And now I have the internet back so I'm so happy!!!!!!!! ^_^
I promise I'm not disappearing! I'll come on as soon as I can and as much as I can!! I'll probably post in the non-Kingdom Hearts sections for the time being. I'm glad you weren't angry at me I was worried you would think I just left without saying goodbye on purpose!

Now that I've explained, tell me about yourself! How have you been?? Gasp you had prom? How was it? What was it like? Did you have a date? What'd your dress look like??? And you must have graduated too!!! Wow! Was is sad or were you really happy? I'm so excited to hear about you!!!
And I also want to know how it's been on KHI. Has there been any big changes I should know about? Any cool threads I should look into? I feel so out of the loop again >.< It'll be a while until I get used to things on here again...

Hi I know it's been so long since I've talked to you and I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry!!!!!!!!!! But I have a reason I swear! And I shall explain my boring life story to you now because you deserve to know. I don't know if you remember but a few months ago I believe I told you how my power went out for a week and my internet wasn't working. Well after it came back every now and then the internet would go again for a few days. Then eventually it just stopped working period, and my parents decided to NOT fix it and said we should take a break from using the internet (!) So for the past few months I have been without the internet and have only used it at school and when I visited my friends' houses. And it was only 2 or 3 months ago that I got a new iPod (I also think I told you that I had lost my iPod before my internet went out) so I've been able to use that whenever I'm in a place where there's wi-fi, which was usually in school. But somehow I convinced my parents to agree that if I was one of the 3 top students in my class at the end of the year when class rankings were announced they would fix our internet so I can use it. Fortunately, I got third in my class! So about a week ago my internet was booted back up and I have been trying to catch up with everything I've missed these past few months. It wasn't until today I was able to get back on KHI and send you this message.

And about posting on here I'll have to hold off for the next few weeks because I decided that since I still know next to nothing about the new KH game that came out I might as well not spoil the game for myself since it comes out at the end of July in America! But once I play it I'll definitely be on here talking about it a lot! ^_^

Just made good food. Steaks with red wine sauce and crosscut potatoes and then had a couple of glasses of red wine and then some berries for dessert and then I think I watched some episodes of the Vampire Diaries. *u*; / boring

Hehehe, it also depends on what one considers a "climax". In this case, the "climax" is the reveal of the first main antagonist and many of the things happening in the earlier chapters will make sense.
In terms of the overall story, I think I'm about a third done by now. Remember always that my chapters are relatively short, so even around 80 to 90 chapters would only mean around 160.000 to 170.000 words, which is long for a ordinary FanFic, but not as big as the stuff I saw already between 200.000 and 250.000 words, lol.

As a small overview, maybe this will help:

Overview over Hearts in Unison's structure, MA means Major Arc, designating a main phase of the story.
The Prologue is only one chapter while for the Epilogue there are two chapters planned, these don't count into the actual numbering of the chapters.

Prologue
MA0: Introductory arc (chapters 1 to 16)
MA1: Torment arc (chapters 17 to undecided)
MA2: Investigation/Secrets revealed arc
MA3: Downfall arc
MA4: Gathering of the Forces
MA5: Final battle

Yeah, the snowball effect is a real figurative term, I think it's even covered on Wikipedia, lol.
See, that's what I mean, it's a psychological effect, and of course having not too long breaks between updates also helps since then your story gets higher in the list. ;).

Oh yeah, here is a small part leading up to the first real meeting with the first main baddie:

With all her courage gathered Xion finally dived to the sphere, landing in a weird and twisted version of the world known as Destiny Islands.
I have been here, it was here where I collected the seashells for Roxas when he was asleep, but...this version looks so... She gulped disgusted. ...gross.

The ocean was in a deep blood red colour, the sand of the beach looking more like ash and the palm trees had completely white trunks while their leaves were ink-black.
The wooden structures built across the island looked as if they were scorched and weird, black spikes adorned with what looked like purple veins were sprouting in several places.

Xion looked around more and every impression she took in made her feel worse. The "sky" was actually pitch black with creepy purple "clouds" as well while on the small island connected to the main one by the broad wooden bridge an unsettling, frightening creature stood.

It was humanoid in stature, yet pitch black, seemed to have several big, moving shadows attached to it and was surrounded by a creepy, dark red aura.
Outstretching its right hand, the creature was apparently shooting out a continous broad dark red energy beam surrounded with black lightning from its palm. The beam was travelling several metres over the ocean before it disappeared into something that looked like a dark portal.

I hope so, I've been really slow getting to some before. X3
My area will probably never get a lot of tourists, which is just fine with me. Not a whole lot to see here, after all. And cartographers would go simply crazy, too. I think it does have one, I just don't know how to use it, then. :P ;A; I tried being a tutor to my little cousins, but I'm bad at it because I expect them to know as much as I do about it and get ahead of myself and of them...
