  1. Ouch, surgery D: Yeah that affects things a lot and if the schedule isn't easy to begin with... My school schedules are ridiculously easy actually. I've got school only on three days per week which seems ... a bit lame but I've got group work to make up for it. And my social life seems much more active haha.

Haha as you should be. :) I'd be as well.
Oh I lied. I'm seeing Rammstein this summer so I guess that counts as a metal show. They never disappoint so it will be amazing.
    Alright, better look into those.
  2. Well for me, I've got a more rigorous class schedule this semester, and I've been recovering from surgery this past month or so. So tricky! :(

I'm soooo hyped. :D And yes, it's a terrific album! Try out Brighter Than A Thousand Suns and The Legacy for starters. Maybe look at Lord of Light too. :D
  3. Yeah, same here. I changed schools for this semester and therefore had to move to another city so it's been a small learning process but it's been good so far.

Whoa, I'm a bit jelly now. Well, Iron Maiden is coming here this summer (once again...) but that Megadeth. :'c For the longest time I used to think that they're the most boring band out of the Big 4 but now I totally disagree with that statement haha. At the moment there's no metal shows for me ... Meshuggah would come here in a couple of weeks and I'm sort of interested in that but I don't know. I would also like to go see Stone, Children of Bodom and Whitesnake (they all play in the same festival) in the summer but I don't know, I might be working that day so I don't want to buy the tickets yet. :c
Dark and progressive? Sounds like something I would enjoy.
  4. Likewise. This semester's been a bit tricky for me, but I'm doing okay I suppose.

I got tickets to see Iron Maiden and Megadeth!!! 8D So excited!!!! >.< Also been going back through my Iron Maiden discography, and decided that A Matter of Life and Death is the band's best album (though I probably rank Bruce's solo album The Chemical Wedding a bit higher). So dark and progressive! :D
  5. Haiiii~ :3 I've been good, really busy, but good. You?
  6. So how've ya been lately? o3o *glomp*
  7. Yeah, same here. :\ Although it's not much better during winters either. Hard to get a job when you're a student because you lack experience.

    Oh, alright.

Never actually heard Queensr˙che. The name I have heard many, many times of course but not actual music. Probably need to check on Youtube. I think they're a bit like progressive metal, right? But anyway, that sounds like interesting news for Queensr˙che fans I guess. c: Somehow at least when it comes to myself, I always seem to appreciate the heavier sound more, so maybe I need to check out the new material when the album comes out. c:
  8. It's kinda hard to get jobs here, since it's summertime. xD

He made more solo albums besides those, but they aren't nearly as good from what I've heard. *shrug*

I'm actually really excited for the next Queensryche album, since they just kicked out Geoff Tate and replaced him with someone that's actually really metal and a nice guy to everyone, especially the fans. Pretty creative song-writer too, and the other band members have made it clear they want to go back to a really heavy metal direction. And the new guy is definitely a heavier vocalist than Tate, but similar enough to do the old material justice. He's sorta like the result if you put Bruce Dickinson, Geoff Tate and Rob Halford all in a blender. :D
  9. That sounds like a plan. *u*~ I'd need a job as well but meh, somehow they seem so hard to get, at least here. ._. How is it over there?

Mm, so he did three solo albums altogether? Or did he actually make more of them? To be honest, I wasn't aware at all of his solo albums, haha. And yeah, I must say that if you threw those videos at me without me seeing the titles, I would presume that they're Iron Maiden material. He sure does, haha. The song titles are quite interesting. XD
  10. It's alright. :3 Done with school until summer ends, so I've been working on writing some original works and plan to work on getting my driver's license and work myself back into better shape. Might look into getting a job somewhere too. :3

I'm a huge fan of Bruce's voice personally, but I definitely agree with about the heavy sound. He had two solo albums that were metal masterpieces (Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding), and had another pretty good solo album too (Tyranny of Souls). The former two may very well be the two best Iron Maiden albums that Maiden never made. Bruce actually wasn't the only Maiden member involved in either of those albums; guitarist Adrian Smith was on both of those albums too, and I always felt the two of them were the backbone of what really made Maiden so amazing.
These two solo albums of Bruce are like what Iron Maiden should have evolved into during the 90s; heavier and more lyrically dynamic. Bruce writes like a diddlying ancient prophet of a dark cult. xD
