It depends on how much you smoke, like how often. And it is a longer time period for blood I believe but I'm not sure how it works.

Essentially yes. You'll notice it especially if you're burning them in without actually listening to them (playing them while you're out of town for a day, or something like that).

Normally that would ruin headphones but because they're studio phones you are only making them better. I never noticed mine break in because I listen to them ALL the time and never ever let them play without being on my head. But yeah whenever I go back to my old head/ear phones and then back to Audio Technica I notice the huge jump in quality. Just give it time dude ;)

Yep. Basically just use them a LOT. That or have music play through them on medium volume while you're not using them (for 4-6 hours at a time). After about 40-50 hours the quality becomes retardedly amazing. haha But it does depend on the pair; mine got better after only 15 hours or so. But they've only been getting better since, even though I've had them for nearly two years.
