By The Token of Time

From the opening passage with you I walk, listening intently as you talk,
Watching you closely like a hawk, all to grasp what you adore.
Your silent whispers, your idle blather, your boastful ranting, all I gather,
It fuels my question, what is Mans true intention? To what end is he striving for.


As I move in haste like the heart beat pounding, I find Mankind to be quite astounding,
His fellow Man he will continue hounding, till he rots his own soul, to the very core.
Many ancient lands I have wandered, watching as they pillage and plunder
The call is given, and they are rent asunder, for all the signs they did ignore.


Do you not see? The signs are aplenty, look around you. Muse intently,
Do not be the loser, whose soul is empty, Open your eyes, I implore.
The sands descend beneath the hourglass, as each one falls, I slowly pass,
Taking with me, your dear days alas, till to the dust you turn once more.


Think not of me, as an enemy; that will bring about calamity,
In grievous error great men have traversed me,
Scheming, plotting things no mortal has ever dared before.
I help you as you think and ponder, not what could have been but what is yonder,
So call on Him who is the Responder, as your faith in Him, I help restore.


There are those who are wise, it is they who realise,
Soon you shall reap rewards of enormous size, if you walk the path of righteous law.
Realise now the day is beckoning, that fated day of reckoning,
When the souls comes forth for summoning, to the One whom it was wrought before.
