Haha it's all good. I found out there are these discs called Swap Magic or Magic Swap, and they allow the US ps2 to play imported games.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I have an emulator and a beefy CPU. Otherwise you have to buy a Japanese ps2 and I don't have the coin for that. Plus the emulator can upscale the game and it looks great.
