I'm not suggesting they end it and replace it, but I am no longer in its target audience and thus it no longer can interest me. Or at least I'd like to say that is the extent of it, but I like some shows aimed exclusively at even younger audiences. Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon are two very different things, Ash is on an ongoing journey which requires some repetition in tasks but no shortage of new faces, pokemon, and little arcs, though some regulars are there to stay. Kingdom Hearts started as a boy just wanting to find his friend, but now he has chosen to tak up the sword and battle this greater evil which is just beginning to become prominent. The next pokemon arc will involve Ash and more badges. The next Kingdom Hearts arc will involve who knows what. Not to bash either, but they are two different genres and patterns. I know nothing about Call of Duty, but Harry Potter is also different than Pokemon. I am no expert on it either, though. Oh, have you read my latest chapter? I'm working on the one after it, but for now I'm really proud of how I characterized Even at least, although I'm not sure about Rinoa at all.
Well beating a dead horse is subjective but that's said for all anime series not just Pokemon and even if they ended the anime and replaced it with a 'mature' one, not everyone will like it. There is a reason most anime reboots/continuations get hate because no one will like it. And if they're beating a dead horse, then Kingdon Hearts should be on that list as most of site wants it to end after 3. And there is one dead horse franchise I know and that's Call of Duty and they never change at all. It's their shot when to end it not the minority, look at the Harry Potter series, it finished at 7 books and still makes stuff for it. And if they ended the anime now, the games, manga, card game, and toys might follow but that'd only a theory. But enough about that, how's your story going, the babysitting one?
It's no grudge nor hatred, and Ash's age would not be enough to make me stop watching the show, because it is common in fiction. I simply lost interest in the plot, and I can't force myself to regain interest, I'm afraid. I don'y say this to criticize the show, but I just am not the fan I once was of it. I still like the games and some kids shows, but Pokemon is not one of them. Maybe I felt that they were beating a dead horse after a while. I usually can't get on this site at this time, but I can for now, whoo~
Well most children anime don't change their storylines very much, look at most preschool/education shows, they only change with the decade. Try to give the new characters a chance and the most important rule of any series is to never take it seriously so don't let Ash being 10 get to you. Just believe what you believe is right. You don't want to grow up and have a grudge on a kids show from japan do you? I've been at Serebii and there are as bad as the drama here. As a both a writer and critic, I've seen the worst, fans who only care for their nostalgia, but you can't always have everything like the good old days. While the anime does please most older fans, it makes the newer generations happy, plus the series was more to japan then oveseas (we are picky), so they're not going to,listen to every demand we want. Same with the KH, better to be happy for what you got. While I can't change your mind, at least understand what I'm saying. Yeah, when I was in High School, they blocked this site and FF.net.
It's not some unfounded hatred for the series, I lost interest in some of the repeating elements and the new characters did not interest me as much as the previous did. I'd rather not watch something if I have to have low expectations to enjoy it, because that seems to speak for its quality to begin with. And Ash still being 10 is something that kind of bugs me. I can't go on FF.net, my school wifi blocks it.
I see. Well don't buy any 'reseting' stories because it's.a anime not a game, but It's a decent saga just you have to have your expectations very low to enjoy it. Since I rather keep the anime hate to a small number, get a chance to read Best Wishes Remix: Black and White, it's a complete rewrite of the Unova saga and you know Character development is something I like to in my stories (My another story series comes to mind) And despite what the dub says (4Kids before TPCI), Ash was always ten, there just hasn't been a confirmed timeline except for most people like me who say four-five years has passed since Kanto. And my new improved chapter one of DDD: Another Story is on my FF.net page. If you finished DDD, take a look. It's a little better, but still needs work.
I wouldn't know, I've been absent from here a lot due to school. Nothing I know of, aside from KHI mailbag. I would read them, but I stopped watching the anime a while back, so I don't know anything about Best Wishes. I'm sorry.
