Actually, the hair was one of the completely custom parts of the sprite.
I used Squall's sprite for most of him, Vexen's for his arm, and Axel's for his head, I think. The rest (not very much), however, is custom-made.

In the actual game, where every sprite is about six times larger, it looks much better.

No, most likely not. Besides, there are still a few minor kinks to tune, such as how frequently he uses certain attacks, etc.

It'll most likely speed up in a little, while, though; we'll have to wait and see....
