Come on, I shouldn't have to tell you that if somebody who works for your church is trying to provide you with science that backs the historical accuracy of the Bible, you are not getting a reliable source of information.

If you want to believe because you find faith easier than fact, fine -- but don't rely on fallacious information to justify your lifestyle.
