  1. Hi! I'm doing well. And you? I think I won't be joining the Soul Eater rp because I've joined World Heist, and now I'm looking for a power I like to change to. X3
  2. Hi Icy!! How are you doing?
  3. Hi! Thank you and I'm sorry for the late reply but Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Have you enjoyed it? We don't really celebrate those occasions here so I haven't ever experienced celebrations like those I see on the internet, unfortunately. I would love to though. Here's to hoping I'll be able to one day! :)
  4. Happy thanksgiving!! :)

  5. Well, contacts are important, so the more people you know, the better. :)

At least there is a minimum wage. X) We don't have one here, so if you were to work here they'll give the lowest (and most unfair) wage for the amount of work you'll do. My friend works at Starbucks and she gets free coffee and tea and that's awesome to me because I love coffee and tea.

I think I drink tea everyday. And I love drinking tea and coffee at Starbucks but it's expensive. :(
  6. That sounds pretty cool, I like talking to people and meeting them! (hopefully making friends in the process) so that sounds right up my alley!!

Starbucks seems like a pretty relaxed place to work at. From what i saw when I went there for early morning coffee before this feild trip I went on to a choral leadership conference. As for minimum wage, that's pretty much all we get, raises are rare.. Abs worked at dominos for two years and didn't get one and he had to stand in the heat for several hours at a time with no breaks. Plus he was the best worker there.
  7. Yup. But I find it an important job, and it's fun. You get to meet lots of people from every part of society. I'm not sure what field of journalism I want to do, but if I'm not doing anything related to human rights, then I might want to write for a lifestyle/travel magazine.

I want to work in Starbucks, if I can get it. But I'm not really picky. There aren't many jobs which really give good pay here (because we don't have a minimum wage) so I don't know.
  8. We were discussing journalism today in digi media 2. The teacher made it pretty clear how ridiculously busy a job it is....

and that's cool, I wanna work in a clothes store or a dvd kinda store when I get a job. Anything that's not fast food...
  9. Yeahhh.

It's a very busy job, and you have to know how to write news.
Um, well I saw people hiring part-timers for shops (like clothes) so I might just work in those.
  10. Three months of freedom? Sounds pretty epic. :)

What's it like being a journalist? I was thinking of becoming one sooner or later and as for part time jobs, do you have anywhere in particular you'd like to work?
