It is possible to live by it regardless of whether you treat it as fact. However, in any logical sense it cannot be treated as factual. You can believe in it, but there is not sufficient evidence to say that it MUST be that way.

I dunno. I don't really know what replies you were talking about but I'm just giving you a general answer for your problem. A lot of the time that's the case. When the topic strays or a fight starts usually the comments are deleted.

See, here is where we disagree. The bible is something you and I both believe in. But it cannot be treated as factual. Your religious beliefs are things that you should live your life by, but by treating it as fact, you are looking at the world through a non factual frame of reference.

I'd like to let you know, so you don't feel I'm attacking you: I am a person who believes very strongly in God, and I do not judge you for having faith in something beyond the rational. My problem is with your attempt to enforce your belief's (because thats what they are, belief's not facts) on other people. I respect your right to have religious beliefs, but religion and science are two different things. My belief in God does not take away from the fact that I believe in the atom, despite the fact that once, long long ago, the two were incompatible. My belief in God does not take away from my belief in equality or scientific fact. Science is the hands of God, in my opinion.

Here's hoping we can both understand the other's point of view a little better.

Their just being stupid. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't really care much about Gay marriage; not for it, not against it. It's just "whatev" to me lol.
