I like the fact that it's got cars speeding err...I mean racing and all and the colors but everything else makes it look not interesting, if you get what I mean. I just don't think it's going to be great. To be honest, I don't think I won't go to watch it but then again, I can change my mind but as for now, not interested. |

Rep Power: 3 | Re: [movie] SPEED RACER GoGoGo Ive never seen the Matrix or heard of its creators but what I mean is the cartoonish style that looks like Sharkboy and Lavagirl of it and annoying lines like: "Cool Beans." or also an annoying kid with a monkey but the kid and the monkey were probably better in the cartoon but other than those things it would seem pretty good and the car is cool and im not the only one that doesnt like the movie so it really doesnt matter.

It wasn't exactly faithful to the anime, but I don't think that's what they were going for. In a manner, it was a fanmade movie with kickass special effects and it did well as one. It certainly had more action scenes that Iron Man had, though not as many plot twists and provocative Philosophies, but then it didn't really need them. If you go into the theatre, simply to have fun and not to compare it to that cartoon you grew up with, then you'll probably enjoy it.

Holy Sh*t the out of control special effects made it so.....different and awesome. I had fun, and at the end of the day that's all it is....just a fun movie. overall, it's probably the best movie i've seen in theatres this year.
