Ross gave the new cap heat.

What the shit indeed.

I liked Captain America because he may be a symbol of America, his actions completely differed from the nation's state of mind. Rather than an offensive weapon, he used a shield. He always struck second. He was always in favour of the lesser party. The gun kinda breaks his image of the "Defendant."

Also, what use is a gun when you have an Adamantium Shield?

Judging from the knife and gun, the new Cap has to be Bucky.
It's just a Bucky thing to carry them.

And I agree, I liked how Steve always used his [vibranium*] shield instead resorting to any kind of offensive weapon.
But then most people believe Captain America is more than just Steve Rogers.
I'm interested to see how this whole thing plays out because, let's face it, Captain America is a kickass book and even though the title character is dead, the book has still stayed strong.
Brubaker is a great writer and I'm interested to see where he takes us.

Oh man, I've been out of comics again until just recently, and now I come in here and hear about Bucky becoming the new Captain America? awesome.

Also, just out of curiosity, to anybody who's been reading Avengers: Initiative, does anybody have any ideas on who they think Mutant Zero might be?

All I've heard is this interview with Dan Slott: DAN SLOTT: TAKING THE INITIATIVE - NEWSARAMA

I know it’s me – and I know that I come with that baggage of pulling out obscure characters, but this isn’t She-Hulk - this is a big, huge Marvel Avengers book, and this is one of our big, huge secret characters. When that mask comes off, there will be a “whoa” among those reading it. People who don’t even follow comics regularly will know who it is.
This has got me waaaaaaay too excited.

Haven't read much in the past few weeks, but I happened to read Death of the New Gods #1
Darkseid has the anti-life equation since when?
Edit: And Scott Free as well.
What the hell?

Is Death of the New Gods any good?
I was looking to see about getting that if it was of quality. I'm interested in the whole New Gods thing, but if the story itself is sub-par then I don't think I'll bother.
Green Arrow: Year One turned out more mediocre than I'd hoped. Here's to Teen Titans: Year One hopefully being a lot better.

Mighty Avengers is taking too long and going nowhere. Think I might drop it soon.
One More Day is wracked with delays, as was expected.
If you guys aren't reading Daredevil then I do recommend it. I'm not that big of a fan of the character, but Brubaker is a damn good writer.

Can't wait to pick up some more Teen Titans and the new installments of Action Comics and Batman. Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul appears to look good. Hope I'm not disappointed.

Bought Hush vol.2, Justice vol.3 and Shazam! And the Monster Society of Evil deluxe hardcover the other day.
Justice has a great final battle. And seeing all the heroes decked out in armor rocked my world.
I never thought much of the first volume of Hush, but after reading volume two, I can see how great it really is. There's so much misdirection, you really don't know until the last minute.

Death of the New Gods seems to be a Countdown tie-in (bleh) which I've dropped since 36.
I've already decided to drop this series because I'm not all that interested in who the deus ex machina villain is at the end. I simply wanted to see how a certain New God died.
Much of the first two issues go no where. Or I should say, it seems like one of those events that just doesn't matter. Many of the important New Gods have died and it feels like they're going to be revived in the end.

I have to get my pull list in order, but for now, I definitly have six
  • Booster Gold
  • Justice Society of America
  • Captain America
  • The Immortal Iron Fist
  • Daredevil
  • Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes
Like Daredevil, The Immortal Iron Fist is suggested. Although, Bendis had Daredevil previously so I can't credit my continued enjoyment of Daredevil all to Brubaker. Brubaker has been great since I first read his work in Gotham Central and his quality of work is still consistent.

Im Sorry but Mighty Avengers is like you Said Going Nowhere.

That Title Keeps getting Delayed and because of that New Avengers story is being dragged out. The 2 are suppose to crossover soon but it just dosnet seem to be happening.

Im sick of Marvel and its Massive weekly Delays. I get so many Customers asking me When Halo uprising 2 is gonna come out or if it already came out. At this rate its gonna become another Hulk Vs Wolverine. The ending will never see the light of Day. One More Day i can careless about because of the Horrible ending it has.

I was actually looking forward to reading Death of Nes Gods but the cover turned me off. Was it actually worth reading.

The two are meant to cross over and become a big tie in to the whole Secret Invasion thing next year. Can't Marvel wait a f*cking year before the next event? Even DC gave us a year before the tried to throw Amazons Attack at us, but no one bought it.

We get Infinite Crisis in 2005 and Final Crisis in 2008. That sounds good to me.

Anyone else hear the news that Batman is apperently going to die next year? Something to do with Final Crisis no doubt.
Bruce will die and one of the Robin's will take over - ****, Tim, Jason, Damien (or Stephanie).

It's situational for me. I'm a Legion fan, which is why I get it. I've read many of the older comics (prior to the reboot, which were mostly downloaded. So difficult to get back issues) and I do find it much better than any of the current team comics. (excluding JSA)

Nah, he'll get thrown into a Lazarus Pit.

Not really liking the current Superman story. That many Kryptonians kinda ruins the whole tragic "lone survivor". I somewhat expected better from Busiek considering his admirable work on Astro City

As for Marvel, someone should have told me to pick up Illuminati. I would have completely forgotten about it if not for Newsarama. I won't spoil anything, but I'm curious as to how the Skrulls can even set up their invasion when most of their territory was wiped out in the Annihilation Wave. Summed up here
Skrulls also get a boost of kickass in Illuminati.

Edit:

I did some searching for that Batman rumor and came across this
In short, the main heroes were going to replace the new gods (what with their whole death situation), with sidekicks taking up the mantel. But now it seems the rumor is just reduced to Batman's death in Morrison's run of Batman. Then New God Bat fights Darkseid. Apparently this same rumor came up about Bruce's death prior to 52.

Also, Marvel Opens Digital Library

Haven't been here for a while so I thought I should share what I've been reading right now.

The Ultimates 3. I'm really REALLY looking forward to reading this series when it comes out tomorrow.

I'm still reading Star Wars Leagcy and its getting good.

Countdown still sucks.

I picked up on Batman: The Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul and I'm glad that Ra's al Ghul coming back cause its been a while since I heard from him and it was kinda hinted that he would be coming back since Talia al Ghul came back with Batman's "son" Damian.

Ultimate Spider man I'm trying to keep up with the Death of the Goblin arc. I think Harry will die.

Teen Titans......errrr I'm getting mixed reactions on it curently. After the death of Bart, To me its been going slow. I'm still surprised that Robin and Wonder Girl are hooking up. I disaprove of it.

World War Hulk Conclusion had a disappointing ending. I can't believe banner beat Robert. And then in the ending, we see The Hulk Son Skaar appear out of nowhere. It was a WTF moment.

Oh and about the Secret Invasion arc coming in Marvel, I really don't think Captian America is really dead. I think he's been captured by the skrulls or something. I think Bucky is the new Captian America.

Well what did you expect, Its Marvel. They love to Dissapoint. WWH was really dident go anywhere.

And i love it when people say Oh Captian America isnt dead and that he's been catured and Replaced by a skrull. I mean if that were a Fact when Captain America was Killed wouldent he have reverted back to his Skrull from after dying like Elecktra did. I mean Iron Man kept his body on board the Shield carrier for weeks with the only change was his body was deterierating at a fast rate.

Well they didn't disappoint me with The Ultimates 3. The first issue was awesome. I love the new Hawkeye's new look even tho he's now a hardass. I can't blame him tho. The battle with Venom was great as well. I wasn't surprised that

it would be either her or Hank.
Can't wait for the next issue.
