| Keyblade Wielder | I've been reading House of M, I've only read the first book. Read the Marvel Civil War, and a few old comics that are out of place, didn't follow the series. I have two favorite super hero's, Gambit and Archangel. |

The second issue of Secret Invasion was a real let down, too. The whole Final Crisis event looks to be real good. I can't believe I'm doing this but I actually signed up for all of the Final Crisis tie-ins. But then how can I not, they all have great writers. Another Plus to Reading Final Crisis is that there are only like a total of maybe 4 Different Tie-ins, One of them Being a One Shot, While SI Has a Total of 20 Tie-Ins Planned to be Released in August. Marvel is Milking Every Dollar they can get from the the Consumers with this Cash Cow. If Your on a Budget Read Final Crisis, Better Artist, Better Writters, And in the Long Run will Save you Mucho Dinero ![]() Also Find it Very Interesting that Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)

| Pederast | Maybe it's just me, but I'm so ****ing lost in Final Crisis. Batman and Superman are briefing everyone about the New Gods and the writing just feels so off. "lol green lantern says a "new gods" died so the power levels we're dealing with is clear. just forget the fact that everyone in the superhero community knows who the new gods are because Mister Miracle, Big Barda, and Orion have always been big players when the need arised and were former JLA members. (In Morrison's JLA run no less) o, and ignore the fact that i, superman saw the New Gods get wiped out (save Orion), but I won't be mentioning it" Sure, maybe the new Firestorm, Vixen, and Red Arrow don't know, but it's still strange that they're just learning about the New Gods. Then there's the issue with "bad gods" and "evil gods". "Hal, these new gods come with the bad gods" What the crap is Stewart even saying? The opposite of "new" isn't "bad" so why exactly does Stewart bring it up? Batman and Wonder Woman also use the term, "Evil Gods". I never saw the term used ever. Are they talking about the gods from Apokolips or is this term recent? Oh, and guys, the Corps use numbers to indicate crimes. Did you guys know that? I didn't. But for whatever reason, there was no mention of this 1011 when Lightray died in Countdown or when the New Gods got killed in Death of the New Gods. Also, Darkseid. "We taught them how to say the equation" What? He taught children how to say the Anti-Life equation? Is that what he said? Now anyone can simply say it? Then we have the monitors. Haven't the slightest idea what's going on there. I'm sure everything will be answered, but a disappointing issue for me. Not really fond of the art when I see Superman's face or Stewarts', or Hals' or Orion... Man, I can do a lot of bitching about this. Good thing I wasn't looking forward to Final Crisis. I have no love for Secret Invasion, but at the very least I can tell someone what's going on in a sentence. "There's a Skrull Invasion" All I have to do now is wait for Legion of 3 Worlds. Geoff Johns and George Perez. Something I can understand and enjoy. About the cover, it's same guy who did the Annihilation and Secret War covers. Real nice work. Annhilation Nova Annhilation Ronan |

DC obviously learnt from the Sinestro Corps War event, seeing that you don't need tie-ins everywhere to have a strong selling event. It was very self contained while still being epic. Quote:
The Marvel Trinity is back together again. Hell yeah. Quote:
And breif me on the Anti-Life equation, did Darkseid finally get his hands on it? So Secret Invasion #3 is out. We're three issues in and the story still isn't doing it for me. There's deaths and plot twists, but I don't care. I think that maybe this whole Skrull invasion thing could have been grand, but only if it were handled by a differant writer. Bendis is a street level writer, we all know that. His superheroics- not that great. If Marvel could have gotten JMS on the book, it would have been a hell of lot. He knows how to handle cosmic and epic (Hello Silver Surfer: Requiem). Art is fine, story just makes me go a big floppy one. Also, Invincible Iron Man #2: yay. I couldn't get into the Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. book, but this one is really good. And is anyone reading Titans at the moment? | ||||

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I totally forgot this thread was still here. The only comics I've been reading right now is Ultimate Spiderman, Secret invasion, Star wars Legacy, Batman Rip, Amazing Spiderman, Angel after the fall, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Secret Invasion is better than I thought it would be. I'm really questioning who else is an Skrull. I haven't read #3 yet. Star Wars Legacy is still an interesting comic to read and its got better to me after reading the final Star Wars Legacy of the force novel. Batman RIP is just incredible. The stuff with Alfred and Bruce's parents are just....wow. Angel:after the Fall is great if your fans of Angel. Amazing Spiderman recently surprised me after One More Day. Brand New Day is very interesting. I like how Peter has his sense of humor back and everything is not that serious anymore. I guess now thinking about it, the last few arcs in Spider Man were really on a serious level and you almost (or rather I almost) forget that Spider man still has his funny side to him. After looking at what some of you said about Final Crisis, I might actually pick that up. I almost gave up on DC after the Countdown Crap. ![]() |

| Agent of Chaos | So Newsarama has an interview with Morrison up, concerning Final Crisis. Think you're missing out since you didn't bother with Countdown or Death of the New Gods? Guess what, you're not. Morrison basically says don't even bother reading them. They just ruin his intended plan for Final Crisis. Newsarama.com : GRANT MORRISON: FINAL CRISIS #1 |
