Ultimates 3 #1 was mediocre. Everyone's an angry douche, for no reason. A sex tape scandal is boring. Loeb went too hands on with Pietro and Wanda. At least it was subtle in the previous volumes.
Don't care for the art.
That Valkyrie girl must be the same one from before. No explanation on that or Black Panther.
Hawkeye looks like Bullseye. Ugh.

JSA was the nice. Alex Ross covers are always fun to look at.

JLA is dragging unbelievably. More so than Meltzer...

Ultimates should have just been kept in the hands of Mark Millar. Brian Hitch's are was beautiful, but he took his time, so if Marvel just changed the artist we all could have been happy.
All the character's seemed really different than to what they should be after the end of Ultimates 2.
Cap's different, Tony's different, but especially Hawkeye. And that costume change is completely unnecessary.

All Star Joker is all different kinds of ****ed up. I'm interested to see where that goes.

Got Halo: Uprising #2, haven't read it yet. Still waiting to pick up Umbrella Academy #3.

Holy shit. DC and Marvel both need to learn from the Sinestro Corps War storyline. That's how you handle an event and crossover. The finale was fantastic, and the tease to the next Green Lantern event was great. Now I really wanna see all the different colour Corps form.
And I'm assuming the upcoming Alpha Lantern's arc has something to do with the 12 new rings forged from the 400-and-something rings from dead Lanterns.
All the Tales of the Sinestro Corps one shots were really good, too.

Booster Gold also is god. The recent issue going back to the Killing Joke had a nice surprise about solidified time. Poor Booster.
And we also got to see the first full shot of the mysterious villain trio we've seen glimpses of in Brad Meltzer's Justice League. Per Degaton, Desparo and Ultra Humanite. I wonder if this has Final Crisis connections.

God, Marvel needs to really sort out its problems with delays. Especially now that they're launching Spidey three times a month.

Well after reading Spider man 545 today....I'm speechless. This is probably the worst arc I have ever read in Spider Man history. One More Day is absoulte crap. I kinda wanted to see how Spiderman Changed in Brand New Day, but after reading 545, I'm not. I mean when Peter showed the entire world who he was in Civil War, I was all for it. And when he changed sides I was all for it too. Back in Black arc, it was okay until part five when things kinda went....meh. Now at the start of One more day, I really thought something could work out of this after reading to first two parts. Now.....its like they're killing Spiderman off. I want them to cancel the Brand New Day and go back like they used to. The ONLY ONLY ONLY thing I found kinda good and bad is that they:
Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
brought back Harry Osborn back to life

Everything else is CRAP CRAP AND MORE CRAP. That is why I'm sticking to Ultimate Spider Man.

Speaking of which, Ultimate Spider man 117 was a okay issue. Death of a goblin arc last issue was kinda rushed at the end.

Also read Captain America 33 which was really good. Can't wait to see what the new Captain America can do.

In DC, I've still been picking up on Batman, Robin and Nightwing issue for the The Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul arc.

As i Predicted.

OMD was gonna be Utter crap. I still havent read my Copy of 545 but i flipped thoug it. Im like wow. Joe Qusada is the Worst thing thats ever happen to Marvel Comics. Im pretty sure im gonna Cancel my Spider-Man Subscribtion since i really dont see MArvel putting spider-man out 3 times a month. I mean they might hit the time frame correctly but after a while i can seem them dropping the ball.

Even after the Sinestro Corps im still very pleased with GL. Im really intrested in the learning about all those other color Corps. Countdown is actually good now. I mean its really Starting to shape up for Final Crisis.

Batman is Amazing. Hands down

So Umbrella Academy is finished, and apparently Gerard Way can write some damn good comics.
I really hope there'll be some more Umbrella Academy later on.

Ultimates 3 is nothing like Millar and Hitch's run, but I am enjoying it for its differences. Good things I'm picking up the Millar/Hitch Fantastic Four run now. Can't possibly pass that shit up.

Haven't read much of Brand New Day, it seems okay, but Ultimate Spider-Man has been surprisingly good since the artist switch. So I definitely recommend that if you want a Spider-Man fix.

Trinity has been announced as the new weekly to follow up after Countdown and Final Crisis. It focuses on, wait for it, the Trinity. A weekly series about Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman written by Kurt Busiek and pencilled by Mark Bagley. But he's only doing 12 pages. The other ten will be a back up of some kind. I don't know if I can pass this up.

Also, Final Crisis has gotten its first solicitation. Do want.

I finished reading my Crisis on Infinite Earths graphic novel (with all the issues) a few months ago. I must say, I was amazed. I tried to buy Infinite Crisis from Borders, but the line was too long and my Dad did not want to wait. Also, when is Final Crisis supposed to release its first publication?

In my opinion, OMD was sad. Rather sad. A marriage that lasted more than twenty years, erased. But, I can bet that Marvel will put them back together in later issues. Much later issues.

52 Volume 2 was utter crap. But I was still simply fascinated at how the first Supernova is actually Booster Gold. I thought it was Kon-El, but I was surely proven wrong.

Sinestro Corps War is one storyline I have not been keeping up with.

Does anyone read Star Wars comics? Legacy? KOTOR? Dark Times? Rebellion? Republic? I love all of these series and cannot wait to get my hands on the Vector crossovers, which are supposedly being called a Star Wars-styled Civil War.

Newsarama - Update on Trinity
It's been changed to the full 22 pages. I actually would have liked what Busiek had planned for the extra 10 pages.
Also, Marvel is terrible at teasers

If anyone has spare cash, if you don't already have it. get the first volume of Y The Last Man (You're allowed to "Download Issue #1" to get a taste). You don't even have to like comics to enjoy it. It's a very good read and everyone has great things to say about it. Even executives from other publishers
A plus, it's a break from all the super hero comics. Original and fresh characters is always a good thing. The first volume should hopefully hook you.

For Star Wars, Rebellion is definitely the worst out of the four currently ongoing. Dark Times and KOTOR are the better two.

holy placid areolas how did i miss this thread

My collection isn't very big since availability sucks:

Manga:
Kare Kano Vol's 1 & 2
Naoki Urasawa's Monster Vol's 1 & 2

Other:
Jeff Smith's Complete Bone 1 Vol. Ed.
Daisy Kutter: The Last Train Vol. 1
Amulet Book One: The Stonekeeper

Anyone interested in Bone can rest easy since it's great, it has a Lord of the Rings vibe but is all it's own; there's also plenty to read. Kazu Kibuishi's stuff is fantastic through beautifully drawn art and great composition, and I've read a couple of Scott McCloud's books (Understanding and Making Comics). McCloud is astonishingly encouraging and insightful when it comes to comics; in fact it persuaded me to take aim towards a comics profession (may look into Zot!). I'm actually working on a book right now which I may or may not post here, depends on what I think of the finished product.

I don't exactly like the drawing part itself, but the whole process of getting everything together and making it work is really delightful.

I just finished Infinite Crisis yesterday, and I was so amazed, I couldn't even think. The story was fantastic, abut Kon-El's death was to sad. And the way Slade/Deathstroke killed that one superhero was sad as well. I wish Batman would have popped that pistol into Alex Luthor's head, he truly deserved it. But, stupid Diana had to interfere. I LOVED how Joker and Lex got their revenge on Alex after he escaped from Batman. "You've made a lot of mistakes..... But your biggest one? You didn't let the Joker play."

"Now who's stupid?"

I plan on starting to read X-men comics (Yeah, I know I'm late). I love the movies and LOVED the cartoon back in the 90's but anyone know where I should start? =D And what other comics would you recommend?
