--Harry Potter seems to be too popular. So, to make this easy, we're going to have one topic. This topic will be it. Why? 15 pages and still going strong. It's been renamed Harry Potter. You can talk about anything that is related to the BOOKS of Harry Potter. Movie discussions belong in the movie area, not here.

So in short, any discussion on Harry Potter is allowed. BO_dbl._sizzle seems to have started off a good topic. We'll swing with that for now. But you're not limited to just that. It's just a conversation starter.

Yes, I do. I read the first book all the way threw and I didn't like it. I just don't think that if magic was reall it would be that way. Then it became this whole big giant thing and the book s aren't even finished they have movies. I just, I don't know, don't like that.

I hate the books, the only thing I do like it shippys. Yes i'm a shippy but thats it
I'm a big Genny Harry and Hermine Ron shippy and it will stay that way.

i've read 3/4 of the 2nd one b/c my sister forced me too and I just didn't like it, and alot of ppl around my area said the second one was one of the best ones.
When i got to a section my sister said was good, she watched me and didn't understand my I wasn't feaking out about it.
so I don't like it, sorry

ok let me change my wording....I don't HATE it like, wishing that J.K. Rowlings would choke on a pickel and die, no.
I just don't LIKE the books very much. I have nothing against ppl that have read the book sad like them. I have lots of friends that like the books. threw my eyes the books just don't grab my attention.

See everyone says yeah that the first book it wasn't as good read the others, but why would I want to read the others if the first book and 3/4th of the 2nd book don't even grap me to want to read the others.....do you see where i'm coming from?

Do what you want. As far as I know, I think that the books are beginning to decline. I mean, in the fifth and sixth books, the characters just start changing in what I'd call dramatically (Puberty anyone?), which I don't like, even though it's probably more realistic for them to change. IMO, the 4th book was the best. 1st was meh, enough to get me to read the next. 2nd blew, 3rd was also meh for me (Everyone says third is best... I have to disagree), 4th was just a cut above the others (I <3 Mad Eye Moody), 5th and 6th just... o_O

You're not alone. I too am not a big fan of the Harry Potter series. I wouldn't say that I hate it at all, because it IS good literature, but it just is not my cup of tea. I've read half of the first three books (by that I mean I read half of each book before putting it down), and I was not impressed. Granted, I have not read them all, and I have been planning to try and read books five and six (though I hear six is just a boring soap opera), but I was not impressed with the first three at all, and I will definately never be a Harry Potter fan. If anything, I like the movies better.

I guess there's now two of us, eh?

There's nothing wrong with not liking a book. Honestly, IT IS just a book. Funny how some people would bite your ass because of something like this.

I like the book. It's good, but it's in it's declining stage, and I guess it's all downhill from here.

I disagree. The 5th book bored me out of my mind. The 6th was fun because she threw in some old characters for comic relief. The fourth one was adventurous and such, but, it's slowly declining.
