There have been a lot of live action films that have come out nicely done -

(examples)

V for Vendetta

Although not great "spider-man" films, still pretty good films - The Spider-Man series

Incred. Hulk

Iron Man

Batman Begins and I'm sure the Dark Knight will do well too

The Narnia Chronicles

Superman Series

Transformers

Sin City

Thats just to name a few..... they can be fantasy and do just fine too...

BTW: there are a few movies that you all mentioned that are going to be made into live action.. already some in production... for example Neon Genesis Evangelion

I guess what I meant by fantasy is grotesquely fake monsters i.e. digimon and pokemon. Then it just looks like claymation gone horribly wrong.

okay I'm all for the pokemon looking gay... especially with those foolish little pokeballs

But digimon... they are more regular, you dont have to go into the complex Digimon obviously retarded if made real lol

But like the dragon type digimon could work.. or the metal type etc etc... use the Digimon that could work in a live action obviously lol

Look at the creatures and aliens and etc etc in Hellboy, Narnia, Pans Labryinth, Transformers, men in black, just to name a few... I still think it works... lol and its cool u dont agree :-p not everyone has the same taste.

With the technology today it could work

Metal Gear Solid is already underway, with Hideo Kojima acting as executive producer. There were rumors Uwe Boll was involved, but they squashed that rumor.

“it’s impossible we’d ever do a movie with him“. LOL

^lol, I'm sure it would be possible for Uwe Boll to make me hate the MGS series if he ever made a movie.

MGS movie? I think that would be okay, but I dunno. The games were pretty cinematic in themselves, particularly MGS4.

EDIT: Also, I love Sin City. The entire film - particularly the graphic style of it - was great.

But I'm actually being moderately serious.

I think the storyline is wonderful, but perhaps it wouldn't work well as a film, especially trying to cram all the episodes into a couple of hours.

^ kingdom hearts without the disney "toon" characters lol it could work.... however... that wouldnt be a Kingdom hearts movie then would it?

Yeah, I doubt that we'll ever have a live action Kingdom Hearts, it just wouldn't work out.

Some may not agree with me on this, but I believe Gunslinger Girl could be made into a live-action motion-picture. The way it was portrayed in both the anime and the manga lends itself to a cinematic atmosphere.

Do you think it could work without the Disney characters if an alternate Kingdom Hearts story was used? I only ask because there was a thought in my mind not too long ago to write a fan-fiction novel based on the games, but with a slightly altered story.

Anything that uses major cartoon characters would make a terrible live action. Like the Simpsons for example.
