As we all know, the anticipated follow up to 2005's Batman Begins will be arriving on our screens in a matter of months.
Well, with ToyFare under way, Mattel has decided to reveal to us their new range of action figures for The Dark Knight. First up is the controversial Joker action figure:

I heard a morning news show debate whether this action figure was in bad taste and if Mattel should scrap it completely. Personally, I think they should go ahead and release it. It'll get snapped up like shit, and if DC Direct don't do a figure, I'll certainly be buying this.
I've head Heath Ledger's family have no problem with the figure, so why should any of us.

And now, the big reveal. We all knew Aaron Eckhart was cast as Gotham's new District Attorney, Harvey Dent. The man doomed to become the villainous Two-Face, and there were rumours of whether Two-Face would appear in the movie. Those rumours have now been settled.

I can't wait until that sick face is brought to the big screen, and every gruesome detail is highlighted and amplified to the point of no return.

Batman begins was a good movie. But I thought because of the ending Joker would be the main villain. Or are both Joker and Two face in it?

Joker will be the main villain, but Christopher Nolan has stated the main story arc will be about Harvey Dent and his downfall.

Scarecrow is also now confirmed to make an appearance in the movie.

^ I think its b/c Heath Ledger was cast to play the Joker, and due to his recent death, people are beginning to piss and moan about the release of the figure.

I don't think it's insensitive to release the movie, let alone the action figure. Especially if his family are fine with it. Who are these people worried about upsetting, if not Heath Ledger's family?

Oh, right. These are the yuppy people who like to whine about everything. Right. Sorry.

Anyways, that Two-Face figure looks AWESOME! Until now, I didn't even know Aaron Eckhart was even in the movie, nor Harvey Dent. And the fact that, not only is Harvey Dent in it, but Two Face actually makes some kind of appearance... I think I just creamed my pants.

I don't collect action figures anymore, but damn am I tempted to get those, if they're both released. Especially the Joker one.

There's no major news to report other than the fact the New York Comic Con has had a new trailer revealed, this time apparently more story centric then Joker centric. It's expected to be online in a matter of weeks.

However the action figure junkies among us, I've found something very nice.
DC Direct, DC's in house collectible manufacturer has just released the solicitations for their very own Dark Knight figures.

DC Direct - The Dark Knight Batman
DC Direct - The Dark Knight Joker

Both figures on a 1:6 ration, which I am inclined to believe is 12". The Joker's costume is all cloth, even down to his shoes it seems and comes with accessories. Batman has a poseable cape and movie based bat-belt accesories.
There are other products too, including porcelain statues and busts and a Kotobukiya vinyl statue. But I just though I'd list these two products.
Both are available for $89.99US.

Well as I understand the whole twoface thing. he is going to be in this movie but not as a main villian. they relly just set him up. he will have a more important role in the next batman film.

I am also really psyched for this movie.
