LOL at you for thinking they can't. Tons of movie characters have been recasted. An example: James Bond. also, during the last string of Batman movies, Batman was recasted at least twice.

Just because somebody did a kick ass job in a character, doesn't mean Somebody won't come back around and play that same character. Producers and the like will replace the actor at the drop of the hat if an actor can't or won't fill a role for a movie series. True, sometimes the replacement sucks ass, but as long as the Character is alive in the series, they can recast them if they want.

Saw it twice and still want more. Ledger's acting was the best. They can't recast the joker, because actors will not give him a real feeling, knowing that they would have to act like Ledger.

As for Morgan Freeman's role as Lucious Fox, that was great. I definitly thought the recasting for Racheal was smart, because Katie Holmes was horrible.

I was disappointed with Racheal's death. Comic book fanatics probably got angry that Vicky Vale wasn't the love interest, and was replaced by a movie-only character. 
 

But i think she isn't dead, she might have escaped. remember, you never saw any funeral for her, just for Harvey Dent. 
 

and to tell you the truth, Bruce didn't seem like overly sad. but why did he say he was going for racheal, and go then go to Harvey?

I wonder what the next generation of the batmobile is going to look like. This one was awesome, but it just had to get destroyed! all in all, the acting was great, gotham looked great, some of the non-joker jokes were used already.

it isn't the best movie of all time, but i do think it is worthy of 4 stars.

Because Joker tricked him. He told him Harvey's location instead of Rachel's, knowing that Batman would go for Rachel.

lol, why do you think Joker revealed their locations so quickly? But yeah, you do have to catch that part quickly.

A gut feeling told me that the girl detective, the one who kidnapped Rachel for The Joker, would do something stupid and ridiculous.

Bruce doesn't know about the letter Rachel left. Alfred burned it before Bruce could read it. So he'll never know that she broke her promise and intended to marry Harvey...stupid ****.

I was shocked that I actually found Harvey to be likable. I think it helped that he didn't hate batman.

And all the past batmans suxed compared to the latest two. they shouldnt recast though.
