I read it 9th grade but it must've been boring as hell since I don't even remember anything about it.

it's alot easier to understand now, but i will probably read it again 3 years from now and be like "WOW! now i really get it!"
i dont think i will ever truly understand everything in this book, no matter how many times i read the authors note

Author's notes are terrible, your own interpretation is the best way to go.

I can honestly say that I have never heard that interpretation, and I can't say that I agree with it either.

Each to their own and all that jazz, I guess it doesn't really appeal to everyone.

xD I remember the first time I read it I was like what the **** is this? D: but now I adore it :3 you are right that understanding increases with each time you read it. Though I prefer to create my own understanding and interpretation as opposed to relying on someone elses :3

Mix of the two xD I sometimes use author's notes as a basis for my own understanding and then go from there.
