For the love of god, guys, can we stop comparing this to TLA?

You can't compare three long seasons to one short one, it's completely unfair. And on top of that, you're exaggerating how much growth TLA had. By the end of season one of TLA, the only character development I saw was Aang getting over the genocide of his people and Sokka gaining/losing love (which Bolin has done as well). Katara and Zuko were completely static for the entire first season, both completely focused on their own singular selfish goals. Hell, Katara didn't even get closure on her grandmother's murder until the series was almost over. It was really that last season that we got the most overall character development, which would have felt completely rushed if it weren't for the first two. So please stop judging this miniseries by the same standards as the titan it was forged from.

You know what I'd kill for? A massive Avatar universe encyclopaedia-style book, complete with art, the history of the world, and stuff about the cultures and spiritual stuff.

Really, Avatar as a whole has so much potential.

Oh my goodness, this would be amazing. But I agree that there is a lot of potential for Avatar. I hope that with LoK's success they have realized that they have the possibility to do much more with it

They used to have a downloadable RPG-esque Avatar game back in '05-'06. It was in a 3D environment so you get walk around and it had a storyline. You also get to pick what type of bender you were. I don't know where it is now. All I remember is that it was in beta when I first played it.
