It is completely illogical to compare 61 episodes of a show to 10 episodes of another show. I honestly don't understand how someone can think that makes sense. I could see them maybe comparing the majority of the first season up until before finale of the original series to what we have of Korra. Since that is where they both are in their respective stories.
You know what I'd kill for? A massive Avatar universe encyclopaedia-style book, complete with art, the history of the world, and stuff about the cultures and spiritual stuff.

I wasn't trying to compare the whole series to the little bit we have of Korra. Just some of the characteristics of Korra that i saw from the stuff we have. I realize it's a small season; wasn't trying to compare everything which i should've made apparent in my post.
@ Solar. They have this cool Art book from the first series with design concepts and stuff. Of course it's not an encyclopedia, but still cool.

Another thing I'd like, is for a possible later series or comic to revolve around avatars from the past. Or a game where you create your own avatar with a story line that changes depending on your starting nation.
Really, Avatar as a whole has so much potential.
And I'm jumping on the "can't really compare the series" bandwagon. Once Korra is finished, then I'll compare.

They used to have a downloadable RPG-esque Avatar game back in '05-'06. It was in a 3D environment so you get walk around and it had a storyline. You also get to pick what type of bender you were. I don't know where it is now. All I remember is that it was in beta when I first played it.
EDIT: Found it - Avatar: Autumn Twilight - Avatar Wiki, the Avatar: The Last Airbender resource
